RECIDIVISTS

RECIDIVISTS
CHAPTER 15

Sitting, standing, moaning and also exchanging views in a narrow room is a daily routine that must be lived by every prisoner who is still in the process of police checks. This kind of situation is very boring for prisoners who have never served a criminal sentence. However, each prisoner must undergo an examination process in a police cell before their case is handed over and transferred to a detention house.

"Sister.!!!"

The automatic sound of Yos attracts the attention of all the prisoners in the cell. They looked at each other's silly behavior Yos, playing chess alone.

Yos's forehead was raised next to that of a half-century-old man sitting cross-legged in front of him, without welcome.

"It cannot be said to play if you only play chess children alone without an opponent in front of you."

Yos did not respond to the old man's comments. His eyes were still fixed on some kind of chess kid.

"How are you going to know the limits of your abilities, if you only fight with yourself," the old man pulled the chessboard, challenging Yos to a clash of thoughts.

Unlike the other prisoners, the half-century man looked calm as if he had become accustomed to the deterioration of life behind bars.

Yos took a glance at the face of the old man who spoke before him. From the words of his language the old man was quite experienced in living life. Yos secretly observed the man of the middle of the century.

"i never knew the size of my abilities.I was sometimes able to do something beyond my own thinking" Yos said, to be honest.

Although they just know each other, but it looks like the two of them have begun to talk. They are getting familiar.

"You're used to going to jail" said the old man.

Engraved a cynical smile on Yos lips, hearing the exact conjecture of his interlocutor.

At first glance the old man took a sharp look at Yos face who was staring, thinking about the direction of his chess game. He did not want to be defeated by the old man.

"If you have been in prison many times, you must have lost your loved ones many times" the old man's hand shifted the knight's position on the chessboard to Yos, jos' knight is dead.

Yos breathed because one prsonil of chess had been reduced, "so small, I have often lost people I love. That's exactly why I'm here, walking the black line, even though I know it's going the wrong way."

"Oh sorry... Both your parents are dead?"

"They were alive, but as if they were dead. Ah... I'm talking about what this is. forget it," Yos switched the conversation as he realized his conversation was going towards his personal thing.

The man in the middle of the century saw the face of Yos, for some time. He stole a glance, watching every inch of Yos face.

"oh yeah.. You're here because of what case?"

The half-century man posed a common question that prisoners and inmates always ask. Yos was actually quite irritated to hear such a question because he thought, such a question seemed always curious to know the problems of others. But because the man he had just met was older than him, Joshua answered the boring question with an honest answer.

"I'm accused of kidnapping people" replied Yos.

The half-century man's forehead looked wrinkled, "but are you really doing it?"

"No," briefly Yos.

It looks like the man of half a century is begging, understand. His eyes focused on the chessboard, watching the chess child they were playing. In silence the half-century man believed that Yos really did not commit the abduction. According to his experience, every suspect may lie to the police while undergoing investigation, but every suspect will answer honestly every question from friends who are the same status as them.

"Sister.!" the old man smiled with satisfaction.

The stone, the wall and also whatever other inanimate objects seemed like they could talk to tell Rio. Just this morning Winda disappeared kidnapped, but the news had already reached Rio's ears.

Yos, who is considered a stone of evasion in all his plans, has been arrested by the police, but now there are new problems.

"Who else wants the girl," Rio muttered.

It felt like his head hurt like he was about to break thinking about the problem of Vinda who was suddenly kidnapped by a group of unknown people, not to mention the plan of Yadi who wanted to immediately end the life of Yos.

Actually Rio was tired of carrying out all sorts of orders Yadi because Yadi already has nothing, even now actually Yadi is wrapped in a very large debt. Because it had the same goal of getting rid of Yos, it became a reason for Rio to still obey Yadi's orders.

"Lumbbells and one cell phone."

An officer placed a belt and a mobile phone belonging to Yos on the table. Due to a lack of evidence, the police could not hold Yos longer in a holding cell.

Seen AKP face Anom red extinguished resisting upset in the heart. The police officer stepped a few steps closer to Yos, who was busy putting his belt on.

"I know you did it, but it's okay.Today you can get out of here, but not necessarily tomorrow or the day after. As soon as we get the evidence, you'll have me drag the court shirt," AKP Anom's voice softly, but he deliberately pressed the sentence.

Yos stepped out of the cell room of the little whistling sabil prisoner regardless of the police officer. Actually his heart was upset with Winda, should the girl come to the police station to inform him that in fact he was not kidnapped so that Yos was not detained by the police. The milk is covered with tubal water, the man thought. But soon the frustration will soon be paid off by the information that has been provided by Winda about the location of drugs hidden by the courier from the city of Batam before he was killed, first. Yos paddled his feet leaving the police station without looking back. He plans to immediately find a bridge on the edge of the city referred by Winda.

AKP Anom retraced into a black-glazed room located next to the holding cell room. There was a half-century man who played chess with Yos this morning waiting for the arrival of AKP Anom. The half-century man was wearing a white T-shirt in shorts and another 28-year-old man in police uniform, standing tall beside the old man. From inside the room, look into the eyes of the three of them watching Yos step further and further away.

"According to my intuition, he had something to do with the Naufal murder case. IPTU Hashim... follow and watch the movement of the man!" AKP Anom's.

"Ready work!!" answer the man of half a century, firmly.

**Lima**year disappeared from the island of Lombok making Yos feel alien in his own hometown. The rapid development makes the scenery in the city very much different from the city of Mataram 5 years ago. Yos took a swing of footsteps when he realized he was now in front of a park in the middle of Mataram city. While walking slowly, his eyes were wild looking for a food stall that suited his taste. A few days inside the police detention cell left Yos longing for the smell of outdoor cooking. How not, in the cell all the prisoners are given food as is.

Yos stopped his footsteps in front of the garden restaurant, sitting on a long bench on the side of the road. Yos's hand was waving to the waiter of the restaurant.

From a distance Yos was talking to the waiter of the restaurant, before the waiter passed away.

Look Yos in the eye sweeping through every corner of the garden. Like 5 years ago, not much has changed. What makes the park look changed is, the more stalls and shops are built around it. It was in the park that Yos and Rani always spent the afternoon, watching the beautiful phenomenon of the sun sinking in the western horizon. The sound of Yos breathing rough, reminiscing about the moments with the deceased wife who during his life he never loved.

"The order, mas."

The delicate voice of the young man the housekeeper surprised Yos from the daydream, "oh yes, thank you mas."

Yos welcomed a nap with a bowl of meatballs and a glass of water from the hand of the housekeeper. Just now the napan changed hands however, a hard kick that was out of which direction it came was hit on the napan. Napan who had changed hands floated and all the food in it spilled over the road. From the look on his face, the waiter of the restaurant was surprised by the presence of some street thugs, the gang of thugs formed a formation around Yos. Yos was astonished by the actions of the gangs, but he soon hid his surprised ripples. Yos caught his breath, the corner of his eyes rolled around, some people looked down from a distance wanting to know what was happening, but no one dared to come closer.

"Have we met" Yos carved a smile, joking, but none of them responded.

"How about a fight later, I'm hungry," again no one answered Josh's joke.

One of the gang members pulled out a folding knife from his trouser pocket, without hesitation he thrust his knife towards Josh's back, but Josh moved faster and bulldozed the thug's nose with his fist. Blood started to slowly flow from the two goons' nostrils. Seeing their herd wounded, simultaneously the horde pulled out the same weapon, a small folding knife. They attacked Yos simultaneously.

Having no weapons to defend himself made Yos have to retreat slowly while avoiding the blows and stabs of the hordes. If only Yos were not accustomed to such a situation, then surely his body would have become a lifeless carcass.

One by one the herds of street thugs began to fall down to receive blows and kicks offered by Yos. But Yos was also injured on his forehead by a sharp scratch of a folding knife.

The sound of an ammunition explosion ended the street fight that looked very unfair. Several police officers came out of the stomach of a four-wheeled vehicle.

"Put your hands over your head!!!" exclaimed a police officer using a loudspeaker.
