The atmosphere of the city was drizzling at that time, the raindrops began to fall from morning until noon so as to make the atmosphere of the city cooler.
I, after a long time finally put my foot back in Korea.
I am 27 years old now, and now I have graduated from the famous Japanese university, Kyoto University. I took Faculty of Law, or Faculty of Law for four years with eight semesters.
I started to get away from the airport and stopped by the nearest coffee shop. When I went inside, the aroma of warm coffee that was so distinctive was smelled by my nose. It is a delicious blend if drunk while warm when the weather is cold. Without further ado, I immediately approached the guarding barista and ordered Hazelnut Latte and Caramel macchiato.
"..Please one Hazelnut Latte and Caramel macchiato at the number 13 queue table."
"Oh yeah, and. two Butter Croissants." I said with a slight smile to the Barista.
The barista then invited me to chat a little, the way he spoke sounded like a man who was looking for prey, aka crocodiles.
He teased me several times with stale words that are often thrown by the mouths of land crocodiles out there. I just stared at him flat when throwing his stale fist.
The barista then boldly poked my chin. "Why did you order two? If you can tell if Noona already has a boyfriend?" Ask the Barista boldly to me.
And that time also coincided with the existence of a man who entered the coffee shop. I immediately smiled and approached him.
"No, I don't have a boyfriend." I said to serve the barista, then looked at the man who had just entered.
"But..." I purposely hung my words so that the barista would wonder.
"But what, noona?"
I walked over to the man who had just entered, the man was Kim Dokja. Then without further ado I held Dokja's slender waist.
"But I have a future husband." I continued to smile back and forth proudly showing off Dokja. Dokja who saw my behavior was wrong, when in reality we were still dating and not engaged. I just want to prank that Barista brengs*k. The barista later apologized for teasing me, to me and to Dokja. Thank goodness he still has a little manners.
Dokja who hadn't seen me for a long time hugged me tightly, no matter how much people were watching us.
"...Dokka. I miss you too, I miss you so much. But please don't be here too, there are a lot of people!!"
I hit Dokja's back slowly.
"I don't care. You know, it's been 8 years since we last met, when we were 18." Said Dokja still hugging my body, occasionally she kissed the mane of my hair.
I don't know what changes experienced by Kim Dokja that made him become spoiled for his lover and continue to buy his lover like mouse glue. I then quickly kissed Dokja on the lips and switched the subject to finish the Croissant immediately.
Dokja was silent for a while, then held onto her lips that I had kissed. She looked at me and pointed towards her lips, her head tilted as if saying 'huh?'
I just stared at him flat.
Dokja and I left the coffee shop and stopped by a small park and sat on the bench.
"Aluna, do you miss me?" Ask Dokja to me, I just nodded slowly. Dokja then hugged me back, but this time tighter. I returned his embrace while patting the man on the back and stroking his smooth face. I smile. Time makes Dokja experience many changes, ranging from his height like a giant, his behavior is spoiled. The effects of male puberty, I said in my heart. But on the other hand, Dokja also looks very mature, dedicated and loving. That's what I like about him.
"Until when are you gonna keep hugging my body like this?" My words are getting tired with Dokja's attitude.
Dokja reluctantly let go of her embrace and leaned on my shoulder without a word.
The atmosphere between us began to be awkward for a while. I then opened the chat, "Dokja, where are you currently living?"
"... A small apartment near the Train Station." The answer.
Train Station, yes...
Uh! I just remembered. Today is the day that apocalypse will take place. The day Dokja came home from work, that was the day the apocalypse began. As told in the novel [Three ways to survive after the world is destroyed].
But today Dokja won't be coming home via the Train Station, he took a few days off because I was coming.
I immediately looked for a way to get through the Train Station without starting a little debate or question and answer session with Dokja. I admit it even though I'm a bit of a bitch, I'm just like my dad. I sometimes take shortcuts so as not to bother facing the problem in the future, if it is a small problem though.
A silly idea suddenly popped into my head.
"Kim Dokja, I want us to sleep together in your apartment." I suddenly told Dokja.
"Then let's go home by train today." I then impatiently pulled Dokja's arm hinting her to hurry.
Dokja tried to digest the situation well...
'Huh?'
Arriving at the counter, I was in a hurry to book tickets for two people for fear of running out of tickets and not having time to enter this one train.
"Please two XX-XX train tickets to XXX-XX!" I said in a hurry.
"You seem to be in a hurry, miss. Two tickets to XXX-XX. Be careful on the road!" Said the counter attendant there smiling at me.
I smiled back, "Yes. See you in another world, Officer!" I said blurting out mentioning the Other World in front of the attendant. Dokja seems confused to hear my words, but just silence does not discuss what I say.
It was fortunate that the officer did not think about my words and just shook his head.
"Basic of young people..." Said the officer quietly to me until barely heard by me, I smiled grimly.
Dokja and I set foot on the train, looking for an empty spot and as usual.. Dokja starts to open her phone and read a novel..
[Three ways to survive after the world is destroyed].
I was looking for a place to lean my head, Dokja offered to lean on her shoulder. I happily leaned on Dokja's shoulder, occasionally smelling the perfume she was wearing.
"Scented." Mumamku. I glanced into her eyes, Dokja who realized she was being stared at and looked back at me. His gaze was like saying 'what is it?'
I just shook my head slowly. Dokja stroked my mane and then smiled and continued reading the novel on her phone.
I know who he is. The woman is a co-worker of Dokja who comes from HR, her height is 169cm, she is the son of three brothers, both brothers are Doctors. I still clearly remember the entire bio of Yoo Sangah's character in full. Date of birth, year of birth, the title he got after the apocalypse– huh? No. gabe. I'm not obsessed with Yoo Sangah's character.
Yoo Sangah greeted Dokja with a sweet smile. Dokja greeted him back.
"Home home, Dokja?" Asked the woman who suddenly came was named Sangah.
"I don't work today. You forgot that I'm on leave, Sangah-ssi? ..I actually took a leave of absence because I wanted to pick up my girlfriend." Answer Dokja.
"ah! I didn't know Dokja had a boyfriend." His expression was now a little shocked at the reply coming out of Dokja's mouth.
Sangah then looked at me who was leaning on Dokja's shoulder. I smiled warmly at him, Sangah who saw me also returned my smile.
The atmosphere between the three of us began to be awkward, I also began to melt the atmosphere by looking for other topics of conversation.
"Who used to take the subway with Dokja, huh?"
"Anu..." Sangah's face suddenly became grim upon hearing my words.
"My bike was stolen this morning." The answer I expected would come out of Sangah's mouth.
Right, according to my prediction.Today 'Apocalypse' will begin.
"Sorry, I'm sorry to hear that." I patted Sangah's back. A few moments later we continued the conversation on a different topic.
I then introduced myself to Sangah, "Ah, yes. I forgot to introduce myself. You can call me by my Korean name, Yeong Dal Mi. Or call me Aluna." I shook Sangah's hand warmly. We then talked a little bit about life in college, hobbies and, yes... Girl Things without caring for Dokja who was staring at me and Sangah with a jealous look.
Really, Dokja? Jealous of your own co-worker, even if she's a woman?
"Aluna-ssi. are you the woman who calls Dokja and sends Dokja the package every month?" Sangah asked as she brought her face closer to me with a curious expression.
If you remember, it is true. I am the woman he meant. I often call Dokja and always give her a small gift through her office so that Dokja is excited about her work. Dokja's work is not easy, and if I recall, told in his novel that there are so many people who envy Dokja just because he is close to Yoo Sangah.
I looked back at Dokja. He was now watching the boy who was holding the insect, his expression looking happy beside his mother.
Then Dokja looked back at her phone screen with a mixed expression. I don't know what kind of expression was on Dokja's face at the time. I stopped chatting with Sangah, turning all my attention to Dokja.
"Dokja, is something wrong?" Dokja looked back at me.
However, before he blurted out a sentence from his mouth, suddenly the lights around me started to go out completely. The world around me began to be shrouded in darkness.
I hugged Dokja's hip tightly. It's an opportunity in narrow-mindedness.
Ckiiiittt..
After all the lights went out completely, I heard the metallic sound of the train brakes that made the ears tickle. Then our car was shaken violently. I immediately strengthened my embrace of Dokja.
Sangah cried out in fear and immediately grabbed me, I quickly calmed Sangah by saying everything would be fine like a mother who was calming her child.
Then the voices of people who sounded confused started to sound.
"What's going on?!"
"What's wrong with the train?"
"...What is this."
Sangah then began to loosen her grip from me.
"A-What is this?" He told me and Dokja.
"At least a small problem on the train tracks. At the very least there will be an apology announcement, so take it easy." Dokja is now trying to calm the panicked Sangah.
I then whispered right in Dokja's ear, "...It's gonna start soon."
As soon as I finished whispering that sentence, the driver's voice started to be heard from the train's speakers.
"...Announcement to all passengers. Announcement to all passengers of the train..."
The panicked atmosphere in the carriage returned muffled.
Dokja exhaled and said, "Well, at most it's just a small matter. The driver will apologize and the lights will be on again."
"K-K-YOU ALL HAVE TO RUN!!!"
The atmosphere that was originally quite calm now again became chaotic again. There was the sound of screaming people panicking back. So too with Sangah. I interrupted Dokja to be careful after this, as the situation could have become even more chaotic.
"D-Dal Mi, what is this?!"
After I commemorated Dokja, there was a sound of shaking like an earthquake followed by the sound of explosions and drum beats.
I smiled at her side. I'm sure this is the beginning of my mission in this world.
I then saw a notification hovering above my head.
[Free service on planetary system no. 8612 has been discontinued.]
[Main scenario begins.]
And that's when the #3807 car door opened wide. The electricity on the train is back on. I heard Sangah muttering softly next to me, "...Huh huh? Dokkaebi?"
(Dokkaebi is a kind of Goblin, an ancient mythological myth in Korea.)
"No. This is impossible." Dokja was still frozen while staring at that Dokkaebi.
