Episode 48 - The Bitter Hope

First trip that feels long, for the sake of position ? or the department ? power ? or wealth and fame. All those questions kept spinning in my head, smashing into the conscience that was forced to hide behind a wall of pretense.

It was never imagined that one day I would become a Crown Princess and demanded many things to maintain the position. Not for anyone, I accepted the King's word to stay away from palace life for a moment hoping that I would soon find Orabeoni.

We reached the village of the Western part of the Kingdom in the scorching heat of the moment, crossing the small desert covered in dense dust before stopping at the border of the Village isolated from the outside area. The general who was taking us reported to the soldiers who were on guard for our arrival.

" I am General Gwon Hwi, the noble envoy of the king. We came to bring food, open the gate ?! " (while taking out General Gwon Hwi's nameplate from his shirt pocket)

Then a soldier looked up from the top of the gate and shouted gesturing to the other men "Open the Gate ! "

After waiting a few minutes

Griiiettt's.. The heavy wooden door opened slowly and a few soldiers came out from the inside to approach us.

" Thank you to the General who has delivered help for us" (Said the soldier who is seen as the leader)

After speaking General Gwon Hwi told the soldiers to drop some sacks of food from the horse carriage behind me.

" I'm going to send someone to help them find clean water. Wait half an hour after we return to the capital " (my answer to general Gwon Hwi is slow)

General Gwon Hwi made my proposal clear, half an hour after the stretcher returned to the capital we sent someone to help find clean water.
