Real Dad's
Flakes of the Past

"City C, why go there?" Lam monologues.

Lam continued to dress, black shirt combined with black pants and matching shoes, further perfecting Lam's appearance. Anyone who sees it will be stunned. Although a gangster, he did not abandon his neat and clean habits, actually not Lam's habits, the habit of being neat and clean was formed because of Hana-women that he was difficult to forget.

After she finished wearing shiny leather shoes, Lam approached an abstract painting that was stuck on the wall and deliberately set upside down, then she slowly lowered the painting, there is a safe behind the painting attached to the wall.

Slowly Lam entered the six-digit code, the code that was quite memorable for her, the code chosen was not the birthday or wedding day with Hana, she said, but it was the day that Hana saved Lam when her life was on the verge of death.

When turning the code and bringing up the special numbers, Lam's memory drifted far into the time where Hana saved her and the first day the two met.

November 11th, 2011

The nights in the textile industry were quite crowded when workers in light blue uniforms came in and out of the factory for shift changes, workers dominated by young women make the arena of the youth around washing the eyes.

Hana happens to work in one of the factories in the region, she works in the 16th spining department as one of the contract laborers. At that time the department where he worked was quite busy because there were complaints from superiors, so Hana's home hours became a little late.

Though it should have been 22:00 had filled the absence and went home, but today it was fifteen minutes late and the foreman still told him to work on the part of the complaint. Although upset Hana had to obey, how else, Hana was only a worker.

The delay made Hana abandoned by her sensory friends, inevitably Hana went home alone, venturing on foot down the alleys with dim light around.

The tall maiden with straight black hair was wearing the army green jacket and white shoes, looking straight ahead without daring to turn her head in any direction. He was very scared, but he did not show it. He was just trying to get to boarding quickly, but somehow the road felt longer to reach.

Amidst his fear, suddenly from the sidelines of the dark abandoned building that was right in front of Hana, appeared a man with a battered and bloodied face, covered in blood, the man was sprawled just as Hana was about to step up, almost being stepped on, because of Hana's forward-focused gaze alone.

As Hana shouted, she was shocked without thinking then slammed her body towards the back. The man who was none other than Lam, put an index finger on his lips.

"Sstt ...," he hissed.

"Please ...."

Hana frowned for a while as if not believing that the one before her was a human, Hana was trembling, curious and afraid to mix into one.

"Help me, Miss, someone is after me" Lam said later.

Hana gasped, then dyed at hearing some people shouting, it seemed like they were the ones chasing Lam.

"What should I do?" muttered.

"Do I have to help her? What if he's a criminal, what if he's a robber?" Hana is still confused.

"Please, please," said Lam once again who made Hana disturbed and did not have the heart to see it.

Then Hana took Lam, to hide in the garbage dump, which was not far from where they stood. Then Hana's gasps for sand to bury Lam's blood. Hana also gave the army green jacket she wore to clothe Lam's wounds so as not to continue to bleed.

Hana sighed and tried to stay calm, put on the handset of both ears, and walked back in the alley. It turned out that the person who was chasing Lam was already there and was examining the traces of Lam's blood that were scattered and ended up there.

Sure enough, Hana had just taken a step back, she was approached by the big men.

"Hey, you're there! Did you see someone injured near here?" ask the man.

"Let's see, I just got here and didn't meet anyone on the road I've been on" Hana tried to calm down and answer him.

The men did not ask any further, Hana's acting was successful.

"Can I pass by?" asked Hana who felt her path was blocked.

Without answering the men gave Hana a path, and turned to the edge of the alley and continued to look for traces.

Hana passed by the big tall man, they numbered four. However, not yet Hana managed to get through them, one of the men tried again to ask Hana, as if harboring suspicion.

"Miss, where's your jacket? Aren't you going to get the flu" she asked, apparently suspecting Hana.

Suddenly the question made Hana frightened, then stopped her steps.

Hana turned her head then took off the handset she was wearing.

"Jacket? I don't wear a jacket, because I work the day shift, Bang, it just happened to be hot weather so I left it at home" Hana said.

The man stared fixedly at Hana, without speaking anything more, seemingly deliberately wanting to scare Hana. However, with all her might Hana endured the fear.

"Go!" hatch the man after being satisfied to meet Hana.

Without further ado Hana left with enough circumstances to make it seem as if she would suffocate.

"Thank God, may you be well, Bang," said Hana.

Hana had finally reached Kos's room which was not far enough from the scene earlier. Seen under the lights of the three-by-four-meter porch room, there were drops of Lam's blood on her shoes. Hana panicked and rushed to the bathroom to wash off the drops of blood, then soaked the shoes. He was afraid that people would follow him.

However, after an hour Hana curled up on the bed, fearing that there was no sign of anyone following, she still thought about Lam and her jacket. If Lam dies there, Hana will be the prime suspect. The thought made Han so unnerved and increasingly unsettled.

"What should I do?" he said while scratching the head that does not itch.

A moment later, the door to her room was knocked, without greeting, making Hana who was thinking hard immediately feel shocked and frightened.

Slowly Hana approached the door and peeked out from behind the window, but no one could find her because it was not too bright outside. The door continued to be knocked with an increasing pause.

With all the courage left finally Hana opened the door and found Lam lying on her doorstep. Again Hana was shocked half to death. A thousand questions raged inwardly, the turn-eyed girl.
