Chapter 16 Meeting Juan's Father

Tok... tok.. tok. the sound of the door was knocked from the outside, then a beautiful woman with a maroon blazer with high heels entered the room of Mr. Danuarta. He said the guests he was waiting for had arrived. Mr. Danuarta ordered in.

"Good morning, Om Danu. This is Clara, Juan's girlfriend" said David, introducing Clara.

"Good morning, I'm Clara sir" Clara said.

"David, get out first! I want to talk to him alone!" his orders.

Silent for a moment, David was afraid to leave Clara alone. He was afraid he would hurt the girl. But he passed too, waiting at the door. Just in case something happens, he thinks he must have heard it.

Clara was silent, she just looked down. Trying to smile kindly, but the man of his father's age in front of him instead smiled cynically. He looked at Clara from the bottom up, making her uneasy. Minutes later the man told him to sit down.

"Sit down, Clara," she said coldly.

"Thank you, sir," Clara replied, then sat down on the chair, right in front of the man.

"It looks like you're so young, do you really love Juan?" ask Juan's father to start the conversation.

"Right, I want 16 years sir. I'm comfortable with him, he's very kind" Clara replied honestly.

"You do realize who he is? And who are you?" asked the man with his eyes.

"Do you think you and your family are equal to us?" ask again.

Clara's heart was slashed, she could not hold back her unstoppable tears. But the netranya foamy survive so as not to spill.

"I sincerely love her, even if she has nothing, I will keep her company" Clara replied calmly.

"Hahaha, you can say so now, but if Juan really has nothing, you must have left him!" said Juan's father.

"You think a poor girl like you can fool me? How much do you want, you name it?" ask the man again.

"What do you mean by Father? I'm poor, but I'm not going to exchange my love for money" Clara said.

"There's no shame, don't you need money for your family in the village! In this envelope is 50 million, you just take it! But quickly you leave Juan, and never show your face again!" his orders were half screaming.

Clara was no longer able to hold back her tears. The tears fell so hard, he stared pushyly at Mr. Danuarta. Suddenly he felt breathless, the man tried to buy his pride. Juan's face was very handsome, soothing and very good. The shadow of the man danced beautifully in his memory, but minutes later changed the shadow of Mr. Danuarta who insulted him. Once ironic, the two men looked very contrasting to him.

"Sorry sir, I am poor but I have pride! Take your money, I don't need it! Excuse me.." insisted Clara while wiping her tears, then passed by haughtily.

He passed by David who was at the door, leaving the man stunned. Clara passed quickly, followed by David who followed. David catches up with her, opens the door for the girl.

"Thank you, David" he said, trying to smile.

"Are you okay, Clara?" tanyanya worries Clara. He knew the girl had been crying from the strokes of her face.

"If you still want to cry, cry on my shoulder" David said.

"I'm just sad, why do the rich always look down on the poor? Is it not for him that we should be appreciated?" clara asked spilling her frustration.

"Not all Clara, didn't I warn you about Juan's family. Honestly I love you, but not only because I want you to leave Juan, I'm afraid you'll get hurt like you do today" David said.

"You're a good man, please forget me and find another woman. People like you are bound to like a lot of people" he said, encouraging David.

"It's not that easy as Clara, I don't fall in love easily. If it were easy, I've had a boyfriend for a long time, maybe even married" explained David.

"I'm sorry" said Clara briefly.

"I want to be alone, you don't mind, do you?" ask Clara who saw David want to stop by.

"Alright, I understand," he said.

Twice David got hit by a raw bogem, making Clara scream. A sudden blow made David did not have time to dodge, he fell down.

"Juan don't, what are you doing" said Clara, holding onto Juan, who was about to hit David back.

"Let go of me Clara, I'll beat her up! He doesn't like to see us together" Juan said emotionally.

"You misunderstood me!" shout Clara.

He hugged Juan tightly so as not to hit David again, his embarrassment had already eroded. He must save David from his lover's rampage. David felt his heart ache more than his face that Juan hit. The sight in front of him was painful, he chose to leave from there when Clara told him to go home immediately.

"Why are you doing this to me, Clara?" juan asked, misunderstanding.

"What I'm doing Juan, he's just driving me, '" explains Clara.

"you just need to call me, I'll take you to the end of the world!" juan shouted disappointed.

"You didn't pick up my phone, I looked home no one, not even Cindy knew where you were! I went around Surabaya looking for you, and then I saw you with him! Can you imagine how I feel, Clara?" juan said his net began to glaze over, holding back between anger and disappointment.

Clara hugged the man again to appease him, Juan did not refuse but did not retaliate. He was still thinking about what Clara and David were doing.

Clara realized how much this man loved her. He decided to stay with her, even though he had not received his blessing.

"Darling, I've never betrayed you, if that's what you think," Clara said softly.

He told me everything from the beginning. He did not want to lie to the man who loved him so much. The man looked at Clara's face, trying to find the honesty of her story.

"But why didn't you answer my phone?" ask Juan.

"I told you earlier, I'll call you later, after I get home," Clara said.

"You've driven me crazy, Clara," he said.

"I'm sorry Juan, I didn't think you were so worried" Clara said regretfully.

"That means you've met Papa? Then what did he say?" juan asked so curiously.

While looking at Clara's face, Juan catches all of it when he asks about his meeting with his father.

"Did he say something rude to you, Clara? did he hurt your feelings? Answer, Clara?" juan asked tubi.

"Dear, I'll stay with you no matter what." said Clara, rubbing the face of the man she loved very gently.

Juan grabbed Clara's hand and kissed her.

"I love you, Clara. Stay with me, age with me until death picks us up."

They were meeting each other. Seek meaning to each other. Clara decided to hide the insults she had received. He did not want the relationship between father and son to deteriorate.
