(Sissy) Wedding Tea Ochy

The extended family of Papa Ardhi and Mama Yani have started to arrive for a series of Ochy and Genta weddings.

Mama Yani deliberately blends Javanese and Sundanese customs.

"Just like his sister." Sissy pura - pura sad.

Sissy finally went into her own room which was located right next to her room.

"It feels sad and happy mixed up right now. Sad because after marriage Teteh must be busy with her husband, but I am also happy finally Teteh found his happiness." muttered Sissy alone.

The Midodareni event started with a jonggolan. 

Jonggolan is referred to as nyantari, which in Indonesian is interpreted as appearing. The groom-to-be shows himself to the parents of the bride-to-be.

This first stage aims to prove that the groom-to-be deserves to marry their daughter. Then there is the tantingan which is an extension of the jonggolan. 

The groom-to-be showed self-worth. He will be asked by both parents about the intention to invite the bride-to-be. At this time, the bride-to-be is in the bridal room. Then, the parents who find out the answer from the bride-to-be. 

Then proceed with the handover of chess wedha.

Wedha chess reading is done by the prospective father-in-law or father of the bride to the groom. It is expected that with the reading of chess wedha, will be the provision of brides in building a household.

The existing advice, used as a handle in navigating the life of husband and wife. After that there is a plural, which is a cover where the parents of the two prospective brides mengikhlaskan their children form a new family.

The traditional ceremony of Mapag Panganten is one of the rituals that are part of the entire series of wedding ceremonies in Sundanese society.

This one procession is a procession that is done before the bride goes up to the pelaminan. In this procession is also present a figure named Ki Lengser who usually has an appearance like an old man with typical Sundanese clothing. Ki Lengser will later act as the main greeters plus be the figure that delivers the bride to the pelaminan.

In practice, Ki Lengser is usually accompanied by one more person who has the function to accompany the bride. Generally, this companion will protect the married bride.

In addition to Ki Lengser and his assistants, the Penganten Mapag procession usually also involves the dancers. Well, this dancer will usually dance according to the rhythm of the music. Speaking of music, the procession of the Penganten Mapag from beginning to end will be accompanied by a Sundanese degung music player.

Sissy marched side by side with Arya behind the fathers. Behind the two of them lined up Mama's brother, Papa, Mother and also Genta's Father.

After the completion of the panganten mapag ceremony, Sissy approached her best friend who had been sitting back.
