"It's a proposal ring." Abah began to explain. "This ring belongs to you, nduk." Pushing the little box in front of Isma.
"Umi'll put it on your ring finger." Connect Umi.
Without asking, Umi immediately opened a small red box containing a beautiful and luxurious jewel ring. Umi pulled the ring finger of Isma's left hand. Then put the ring on Isma's ring finger.
Isma was silent. Actually, there are a lot of questions in his head. But for some reason, his mouth was stiff to speak.
Arya and Fitri silently watched the process of wearing the ring. Then they looked at each other and shook their heads together. While Abah and Umi smiled happily seeing the ring fit on Isma's ring finger.
"Who's doing this, Abah?" Ask Arya.
"Randy. Kiai Abdullah's son, my friend. Randy just finished his S2 in Egypt. Now he's home." Obviously Abah with spirit.
A glimpse of Randy's face in Isma's memory. He met Randy two years ago at Kiai Abdullah's boarding school.
At that time Abah introduced Isma to Kiai, and wanted to ask Isma to teach at Pesanteren. That's when he met Randy. He had talked and heard Randy's complaints about his life in Egypt.
Randy is an established, mature and responsible male. However, Isma only considered him a brother of fellow Muslims. Not a single bit of Isma's heart was shaken by Randy's good looks at the time. Randy is a man of Muslim dreams.
"Will you accept it without asking the same question?" Fitri was greeted with a nod from Arya.
For a moment Abah smiled, then looked at Isma who was also staring at him.
"Your grandfather would have agreed. Randy has all the conditions as the Prophet suggested in choosing a mate. Randy's steady for your adek." Obviously abah.
"But, at least we should ask first, bah. What do you think, Adek?" Connect Fitri.
Then I looked at Isma with a gentle smile full of hope. Umi also looked at Isma with the same gaze.
Meanwhile, Isma arranged her seat to be more comfortable. The hands of Umi. "If according to my brother and umi Mas Randy is good for Adek, good adek for Mas Randy. Adek agreed. But, you're not ready to get married anytime soon." Clearly without burden.
"Alhamdulillah..." Greet your brother and Umi with relief.
While Arya and Fitri just keep looking at each other and smile with relief.
While the Isma family is happy with the proposal approved by Isma. In a broken home, Prince was talking to his parents.
"Papa was shocked when Amanda told me about your relationship that was over."
"Sorry pa, I didn't mean to hide that from Papa." Answer Prince.
"Did you finally find the Princess who made your heart shake, your day became more colorful?" Papa Temptation
"Papa can!" Excited Prince shyly.
"Cie.cie.., Mama's son is in love." Timpal Mama teases Prince.
"Who's the girl?" Ask Papa curious.
Mama who was no less curious as well, shifted her seat to sat with her husband.
"Secret." Prince's brief words that managed to make both parents speechless disappointed.
"Someday I'll tell you. Now's not the time, Ma, Pa." Obviously Prince.
But Prince's explanation was not heeded by his parents. They were really curious about the girl who could finally make their Prince fall in love with it.
"You never want to introduce your beloved girl to us. It's just Amanda we know." Curse Mama with a groggy tone.
"Not not to, Ma. He just hasn't given an answer. Does he like me or reject me." Obviously Prince.
"Ok, Papa wait until the girl gives a decision. But, it seems like Prince Papa will be rejected again." papa's tease.
Prince was silent. 'Looks like that, Pa, Ma.' His inner.
"But Mama wants to know now?" Whimpering. "Is she pretty?"
Prince nodded. "Very graceful and beautiful, Ma."
"Oh yeah? What's panjag's hair?" Ask Mama again.
"If that's me I really don't know, Ma."
"How could you? Didn't you guys meet each other?"
"We meet often, Ma." Answer Prince.
"Then, why don't you know her hair is pajag or short."
For a moment Prince sighed, lifting himself who was beginning to fidget.
"I can't see her hair, Ma. He used a head covering or what they often call Hijab." Definitely .
Hearing the word hijab made Mama and Papa speechless. For a moment they looked at each other to piece together what came to their minds.
"Yes, he's a Muslim, Ma, Pa." Prince answered who understood the meaning of silence from his parents.
"Stop. Don't continue anymore. A lot of girls out there are much nicer and adorable." Firm Papa.
Prince remained silent. He had not expected to get this kind of response from his Papa and Mama.
