Chapter 36 Meeting Candidates-in-Law

The car is neatly parked in front of a very magnificent house with a well-maintained fountain and garden in the yard. The sky immediately invited Azka and Kia to come down. He could not wait to meet his grandfather's grandmother.

Unlike the two adults in the front seat. Gilang did not go down immediately when he saw Amanda was so nervous beside him. Clearly visible sweat soaked his forehead even though the car AC was still on. Gilang lang took a tissue and rubbed a soft sweat on Amanda's forehead.

"Manda, don't be nervous! My parents, not my stiff parents. Only, my father is indeed a firm man. Maybe because he graduated from the military so always act decisively even at home," said Gilang. She doesn't want Amanda to be more nervous when she meets her father.

"A, I'm afraid A Gilang's father disagrees because I'm just a woman from the lower classes. Moreover, I am only an orphan," Amanda said in a soft voice.

"No way, Manda! His father was very obedient to his mother. You know for yourself that I like you so much. So, I'm sure you'll approve of our relationship. Trust me the same!" Grin clasped Amanda's hand tightly. He wants to channel positive energy to his future wife so as not to feel insecure when meeting with his family.

Amanda stared straight at Gilang's dense bead. For a moment they looked at each other, talking with eye signals. Until finally Gilang smiled while nodding his head.

"Let's get off! I must have been waiting" asked Gilang.

Sure enough what Gilang said, seen Bu Rianti out of the house along with her husband Mr. Ageng Nataprawira, a four-star general who was very feared on the battlefield but always obeyed all his wife's wishes.

"Say, why did you leave the car so long? I can't wait to meet a potential ghost." Bu Rianti immediately nagged his new eldest son out of the car.

"Sorry, Mom! Manda Nervous wanted to meet with the future father-in-law. Please tell me, Mom! Do not be fierce with his prospective daughter-in-law," said Gilang while kissing the back of his mother's hand alternately with his father.

"Where can you be fierce with a daughter-in-law who is as beautiful as this even though she is actually more beautiful than your mother" said Mr. Ageng.

"Mother, how are you? Sorry, Manda can only come here," said Amanda while kissing the back of the hands of her future mother-in-law continued with a female-style cipiki.

Amanda took turns kissing the back of Mr. Ageng's hand while saying, "How are you?"

"Alright," replied Mr. Ageng flatly.

Hearing what her husband said, Bu Rianti immediately nudged Pak Ageng's hand with a slightly outgoing eyeball. Making Mr. Ageng slightly soften his tone.

"Good father, Manda! Let's go inside!" bring Mr. Ageng.

She pulls Amanda inside. Approaching the three boys who were lying on a soft carpet in front of the television. While Pak Ageng and Bu Rianti still whispered in the back.

"Father has participated want Mother, later tonight you want a new style and Mother must obey what you want," whispered Mr. Ageng.

"Beres, Sir! What matters is that Gilang is getting married. It's a pity that for seven years his sword has not been sharpened. I'm worried about getting dull" whispered Bu Rianti.

"There may be blunt, maybe occasionally he snacked outside," whispered Mr. Ageng.

"Who's the Cake? Why isn't the sky invited?" asked the Sky who had suddenly been standing in front of the two middle-aged.

"What kind of sky would you like to snack? Later ask between Mang Dinan only if you want to snack to minimarket," said Pak Ageng.

"So Grandpa said snack outside, let's go buy batagor cake!" take Sky with a pull of his Grandfather's hand.

"Well, we're on the bike, Grandpa's tired of riding the car all the time." Mr. Ageng immediately pulled Sky's hand to follow him to the garage of his motorcycle collection. From the old-school motor type to the latest output is there.

"Grandfather, let's take the Vespa!" sky Proposal.

"May, Grandpa find the key first." Mr. Ageng also rushed to find a motor key that was neatly stored in the hanging cabinet in the garage.

After getting it, he immediately went along with the Sky to find a peddler like the desire of Heaven. Meanwhile, Amanda immediately followed Bu Rianti to the kitchen to help prepare lunch. Although it has been prevented because of tired worries, but Amanda still forced to come to the kitchen. He wanted to know, what kind of food the Gilang family liked.

Seeing Amanda who followed her mother to the kitchen, Gilang also invited Kia and Azka to see the mini zoo at her home. Every time he came home from the forest, Mr. Ageng sometimes brought forest animals injured by hunters so he brought them home to be treated and maintained in his backyard.

"Om, is that lizard kho can change color?" point Kia.

"That's called chameleon. His skin changed to adjust the place he occupied," explained Gilang.

"Oh, that's it, Om!" Kia placed her index finger and thumb on her chin to form the letter V. Makes Gilang feel anxious with the behavior of prospective children he continued.

"We're seeing a yuk! The collection of birds has many grandfathers. There are also those who can talk," explained Gilang while guiding Azka and Kia

Amanda who saw the familiarity between her children and Gilang, made her heart warm. He was increasingly convinced that Gilang could replace the figure of Apandi who seemed to fade from the memory of his children, especially Azka who had not clearly remembered the figure of the father when the divorce occurred.

Thank God, Lord, You have brought me together with good people like the family of A Gilang. This is called the fruit of patience. We must not avenge the evil of those who have wronged us, for there will be karma that punishes them when in the world, Amanda said.

After all the food was ready to be served, Amanda helped Bu Rianti arrange it at the dinner table. Soon after, the sky came along with Pak Ageng followed by Gilang, Kia and Azka.

The lunch event led by Mr. Ageng went quietly. Only the sound of spoons and forks clashing with plates, as well as Azka and Kia who obediently did not make a sound when fed by Amanda. When everything was finished eating, then Mr. Ageng opened the chat at the dining table.

"Say, when's your plan going to the pelaminan?" ask Mr. Ageng.

"We don't have a definite plan yet, sir." Gilang wiping the corner of Azka's lips that look still smudged.

"It is not good to delay good intentions. I suggest, how about next week you get married. For the party can follow. Besides, what else are you waiting for? My mom and dad have blessed your relationship. Has Amanda's family no blessing?" ask Mr. Ageng.

"I'm an orphan, sir. I don't really know my parents' families, because we're nomads." Amanda lowered her head.

"No problem, there'll be a judge. Soon you will make your pilgrimage to Amanda's parents' grave. For the business of weddings and parties let your mother arrange," said Mr. Ageng.

"Thank you, sir!" kompak Gilang and Amanda.

I didn't expect. The father who looks hard on his face has a soft heart. It's true what people say, don't judge book's by the cover. We must not judge a person by his outward appearance alone, because it does not necessarily represent his inner content, Amanda.
