Chapter 48

Kai is alone while looking at his picture with Syifa. After one month ago Kai expressed his feelings for Syifa, making the closeness between them become tenuous, even every time he met Kai, Syifa always avoided. Syifa's heartbeat stopped. Slowly her tears fell. Syifa immediately got up and ran out of the classroom.

Syifa tried to contact Kai several times, but the man did not answer the call.

Syifa's cry broke out, she couldn't help but feel her sadness, nor could she lie to her own feelings if she also liked Kai.

"Gue thought you wouldn't be sad if I left" said Kai who stood behind Syifa.

Syifa turned her head, with tears that had washed her face. "Kai," hept.

Syifa almost gave up and was angry at herself for not being able to meet Kai before the man returned to Jakarta. But the universe still allows them to meet and make memories of separation.

Kai took a few steps forward and hugged Syifa very tightly. Although their separation is only temporary, Kai feels very heavy to leave Syifa.

Kai released his embrace, then wiped away Syifa's tears. "Don't cry, yeah" he said.

Syifa grew saddened to see Kai pretending to be strong in front of her.

Kai regulated his breathing, his chest felt tight as he held back his cries. "Syif, I'm really happy to know you, I'm glad we're spending time together."

Syifa wiped away her tears that kept falling down profusely. "We can still spend time together again, right?"

Kai nodded while smiling. As hard as Kai endured his sadness, still, his tears still fell.

"Gue likes you, Syif," said Kai loudly.

"Gue can't lie about my feelings anymore, I also like you, sorry I'm funny and pretend not to like you."

Syifa nodded.

Kai let go of his embrace, wiping away Syifa tears. "No, don't cry" he said.

Syifa wiped her own tears, "Lo don't cry, either" she said stammering from sobbing in her tears.

"Gue left, Syif, yes" said Kai.

Syifa nodded. His chest was so painful from crying too hard.

Somehow Syifa felt that her separation from Kai was much more sad than her separation from Rizky.

Syifa waved her hand at Kai, as did Kai who waved his hand. Syifa could clearly see that Kai was trying to smile, but Kai's eyes showed that he was very sad.

"Kai, I love you" said Syifa.

"I love you too, Syifa," Kai replied loudly.

Syifa forced her lips to smile, so that Kai would not be sad anymore, even though Syifa actually wanted to cry loudly.

Kai stepped out of Syifa with the suitcase and bag he was carrying.

Seeing Kai who was far enough away, Syifa cried loudly, not caring about her eyes that would be puffy. Syifa remembered the many moments she had made with Kai. Now Syifa realizes her feelings, that her love for Kai is much greater than her feelings for Rizky.

Kai's tears didn't stop dripping, even Kai's tears made his chest feel extremely painful. It's a temporary farewell, but why does it feel this sick? What if Kai sees Syifa with someone else?
