Hordes of Monsters

With what Hariric had told him, Davin felt interested to find out more about the incident.

Davin asks Harric to take him to where the silver horn wolf colony is located, Harric does not refuse. Hariric quickly brought Davin who was sitting on his back, Hariric who asked Davin to ride on his back with the remaining wolves behind him.

Not long after Davin was brought to a valley that was a little steep. There are many rocks between the walls of the valley. Using it as a foothold Harric was very agile to climb every rock in the follow of his other subordinates.

There were some wolves standing among the rocks guarding the valley where the only entrance to the valley floor was. Hariric the wolf guards let him in without delay, though they saw a human on his back but did not dispute that.

Upon arrival at the bottom of the valley Davin saw only rocks there, but the place was quite a large place suitable for a colony. Harirric dropped Davin off near the valley entrance and asked him to wait for a moment with another subordinate of Harir.

Hariric left davin with his subordinates, who no matter how long, several wolves that were the size of Hariric with 2 horns that were the same as Hariric appeared from behind a rock with Hariric there.

“Welcome Mr. Davin, you can call me Hick the leader of the silver horn wolf colony.

Sitting cross-legged on a rock Davin asked Hick to tell him what was going on inside the forest.

Just as Haririk said earlier that some of the animals in the forest had already left because of the monster attack and other animals had also gone to other forests to take shelter.

Hick said that the forest was protected by a dragon god who guarded the forest for hundreds of years. Yet one month ago their dragon god suddenly disappeared, no one knew of its existence.

Although no one knows for sure and no one has ever seen a dragon god, but they can know its existence is very strong. It was even strong enough to scare away the monsters that wanted to enter this forest.

“The monsters can't attack us. Because we are still capable enough to fight them.

But if no food is the same extinction that will befall us.” Said the bowed hick listlessly.

Davin asks Hick to tell him about the forest they are in.

In Hick's story the forest where they are located is named Aldous Forest, divided into 4 northern parts, western part, southern part, and eastern part.

Currently they were in the northern part which was the territory of the silver horn wolf. In the west it is ruled by an iron horn bear. In the south it is ruled by a golden horn tiger. And in the east it is controlled by the crocodile ice horn.

"with the strength of these four rulers, aren't you guys trying to join forces to fight the monsters?'' Ask Davin.

"We wolves are trying to find the lair of these monsters but we don't have any clue, they are like ghosts that suddenly appear and suddenly disappear.'' Said Hick.

As Davin and Hick spoke, a one-horned wolf approached Hick. The wolf did not speak, but Hick stood up in surprise, nodding to the wolf. It looks like the wolves are talking to each other using telepathy. But that was Davin's guess.

"I'm sorry Mr. Davin we can't accompany you any longer.I got a report if there's any movement of monsters from the north of the forest. From what our subordinates report the number of monsters that attack in the estimated thousands. I had to hurry to prepare an army to dispel them, said Hick looking puzzled.

"Alright Hick I'll come with you guys, maybe I can help a little.'' Davin offered himself.

"No need sir. It is our duty to guard the forest, I have sent the news to ask for help from the other forest authorities. although they will be a little late but we are sure to be able to hold back the monster hordes for a moment until help arrives.

It's so strange that monsters are not intelligent creatures compared to us who can live in colonies, monsters are impossible to come along with others. It's like someone can control them.'' Said Hick.

Davin was very curious about the monsters, he decided to keep following the wolves.

It was dark, indicating that the night had come. Davin was already on a hill with Hariric carrying only 200 wolves. While the other wolves keep their territory until help comes.

The number that was far from the number of monsters at the northernmost end of the forest was seen far away as thousands of monster hordes began to enter the forest. Some monsters look more striking because of the enormous body shape that runs uprooting the trees in front of him.

Hariric stared coldly at the monsters giving his subordinates a cue to attack by sneaking around. An advantage for wolves to attack in the dark.

Davin also did not remain silent. He wanted to test his fighting strength against the monsters.

Davin darted along with the wolves, it was seen that the wolves prefer to attack together, in contrast to Harric who fought alone.

A 10-meter-tall monster smashed its huge mace towards Davin. Davin took his sword, holding off the bludgeon's attack with only one hand while the other held the sword aimed at the monster's feet.
