Park Jimin My husband

Park Jimin My husband
Episodes.66

A week after Jimin left me even more confused by his attitude, I really did not stay silent. Although I couldn't get out to meet Nam, I finally found a way to communicate with him so that it couldn't be tracked by any system.

Even though we still didn't sleep in one room, Jimin always knew what I was doing. He even checked my SNS. Two days ago, he asked me to be careful about uploading anything on the Internet or SNS that I had. Jimin still asks for it well, although plus the threat if I do not comply, then he himself will do the backing for my entire SNS account. Sucks I don't know what the exact reason is.

When I asked, Jimin just said that 'not everything should be shared on social media'. I don't post too often about myself either. Only if you get bored and want to chat with my old friends or distant family who also follow my social media.

Sometimes I also want to share happy news like uploading a photo of my baby USG. But Jimin didn't like it, so he actually told me to stop playing SNS, I don't know when.

Gojung helped me to communicate untraceable. I asked Gojung to come. Gojung wasn't very good at playing with tech systems, but she came to my house to install a piece of software on my laptop, and then followed all the instructions from Nam that she had previously learned.

Gojung and Myura already knew all my problems because exactly a week ago, I finally told them everything. At first, they were angry but the anger did not last long because our friendship was very close. I sat on the bed with my laptop on my pillow.

I put one finger between my two teeth, nervously waiting for the video call connection.A pair of earphones were already attached to both ears, waiting for Nam to answer his call. Every now and then I glanced at the wall clock, seeing that it should be time for us to connect. Or maybe I forgot? Not likely. Actually, I'm not nervous about having to wait for this connection, but because Jimin can go home anytime. I never know for sure if Jimin's back tonight or not.

All I know is that every time I come back, Jimin will usually check on my own. He'll go into my room to check if I've taken any of my milk and vitamins. Jimin would go in and grab a dinner plate or some empty glass that I usually put on the nightstand by the bed. If I lock the door, Jimin will come in with a spare key.

I know that, because I used to pretend to be asleep and maybe I was half sleepy too. I felt the presence of him still wearing his suit, staring at me for a few minutes, sometimes getting rid of my hair until I finally left and carrying a glass or plate that was empty from my nightstand.

"Sorry, I just got home."

The sound from the laptop screen blew away my daydream. I immediately stared at the monitor and saw Nam who was like he had just come from somewhere. He was even a little sweaty and was now taking off his camera bag.

"Ah, sorry. Am I interrupting? Maybe I can rest first. We can let this go next time." I feel sorry for him.

Nam chuckles while taking a handkerchief and rubbing his sweat. "It's okay, I'm actually very excited to tell you a lot of things that you might really want to hear" he said enthusiastically.

This conversation is starting to get interesting. Broadly speaking, Nam has started to understand the story. Gojung recorded it as I spoke and gave it to Nam. So, I think Nam already knows what I want to hear.

"Thank you." My words also smile.

Nam then took a breath. "I have to admit, it's very hard to solve this. But, I've heard of a group of people who engage them in the game to perform challenging missions for personal satisfaction."

My heart seemed to stop beating when I heard that sentence from Nam. In my brain immediately plastered the face of Jimin, Jimin and indeed only the fucking Jimin that filled my head.

"There are a few names for the game." Nam took something out of his bag, then pulled out a notebook. He seemed to read for a moment. Jeez, he really did some research to find out about that. "In the western states, it is known by the term 'Escaping heaven', some have also named it 'Play or Die?' and from the data I got, in the east itself, especially in Korea, this is known as 'How Come?'." Nam's explanation made me swallow. "How's Come?" I frowned, still feeling his name was strange.

I'm still digesting that sentence, but so far I know the point."All right, go on."

"This game is made in a certain period of time, according to the agreement, ranging from three months to a maximum of two years. The number of players is 21, divided into seven innings. One round is played by three people and I don't think they're all people who don't have money because it's here explained that every player will risk the three most important things in his life."

Hearing that explanatory sentence, I spontaneously clenched my hand under the pillow. It's exactly what I know and it reminds me of how I became one of those bets. Goddamn bum!

"The first thing to bet on is a favorite object" explained Nam.

I remember Jimin defending his Range Rover in first choice. The car was indeed Jimin's favorite, rarely used but Jimin always took care of him. It was the first car he managed to buy after the greatest achievement of his life. Jimin told me that when we were still approaching.

"The second thing at stake is the greatest wealth" explained Nam again.

Jimin risked his entire stake in second place. I'm sure, if Jimin loses his life will completely change.

"Then, the last thing to be retained is the most grievous thing, usually." Nam looked at me for a moment, he seemed to know, too, that Jimin was risking my name. I forgot to say that in the explanatory tape or not.

I smiled with pain. "Yes, he's risking my life."
