CHAPTER 37: The Past of Ivan and Evan V

They both walked down a dark path. After a long time down the road, they both saw a bright light. They both ran towards the light and they had made it out of the way.

"Are we out? Where is this brother? Isn't it still night? Why is it noon here?" ask Evan.

"It looks like we're in a forest that we're in a lot, I don't know why it's daytime here" Ivan replied.

"But, it looks like it's deeper than we often go into" Ivan explained.

Hearing Ivan's words, Evan then approached his brother, "It's not that we'll meet monsters if we enter this forest very deeply..." Evan's scared.

"Just calm down, I'll protect you." Ivan calmed his brother.

They both decided to take a break after walking for a long time, "Well, we'll rest here for a while" Ivan said.

While they were resting, suddenly a monster came at them.

Groaars....

Hearing the voice, they both were shocked and immediately woke up to escape.

"Sister, that's the sound of a wolf monster. Let's get out of here!"

Then they immediately ran away from the wolf monster. The wolf monster was only a few hundred meters away from them, but since the monster was running so fast, they were easily overtaken.

As they were running, Ivan suddenly fell because of a tree branch that was blocking. He also dropped the thing given to him by his mother. Seeing her brother fall, Evan immediately returns to wake her fallen sister.

"Sister, let's get up." Evan pulled his brother's hand.

The wolf monster was only a few meters away from them. As the wolf monster got closer, they covered their faces with their hands and closed their eyes in fear of being caught by the wolf monster.

"Ahhh, are we going to die!!! they both screamed in fear.

But they did not feel any pain because of the wolf monster. Then they opened their eyes, it turned out that the wolf monster was no longer in front of them.

"Am I dead? Why don't I feel the pain of being attacked by that wolf monster?" I thought Ivan was scared.

Suddenly, Evan's voice called out to him, "Sister...That wolf monster didn't attack us." Evan tried to wake his sister.

"Did brother faint?" thought Evan.

Hearing his brother's voice, Ivan immediately opened his eyes.

"Are we dead?" Ivan suddenly asked after opening his eyes.

"No brother, we're not dead. That wolf monster didn't attack us. The monster ran like it was scared because of something" Evan explained.

Ivan sighed, "Ahh thank goodness.but why didn't the monster attack us? What direction did the wolf monster run there was such a terrible monster?" Ivan wondered.

"Then let's get out of here!" said Evan.

"Wait a minute, I'm gonna pick up something mom gave me first."

Then Ivan walked towards the falling object to retrieve it. Just as he was about to pick it up, suddenly a man came and picked it up first.

Ivan was surprised by the arrival of the man. But then the man returned the thing he had taken.

"This is yours!" he said while giving me that thing.

"Ahh yes, thank you." Ivan immediately ran away from the man.

Seeing Ivan running away the man then asked, "Why did you run? Did I scare you that?"

"What is the uncle of the assassin group? Please don't kill us. If you don't just kill me, not my brother," Ivan pleaded.

"What are you talking about, little boy? I don't know what you mean" said the man.

"Don't uncle want to kill us?"

"Of course not, I just wanted to ask. Where did you get that thing?"

"It's a gift from my mother."

"Where is your mother now? I want to see him."

"My mom was killed by adventurers last night."

"What! I'm so sorry for your mother's death." The man was surprised to hear the news.

"Yes, thank you uncle."

Then Ivan called his sister, "Evan here! This uncle is not that group of assassins!"

Evan went to his brother. Suddenly the man asked to give me the thing. "Can uncle ask for that stuff? Uncle needs it."

"What does my uncle want this thing for? It's my last gift, so I won't give it" replied Ivan.

"Well, you give me that thing and I'll grant 1 of your wishes."

"Then I want revenge!"

Evan suddenly stopped his older brother, "Wait for big brother! It's the last gift from mom, don't you give it to that uncle."

"But brother....."

"Alright I'll give you this potion." The man took a potion.

"This potion can increase your strength, this is enough for you to take revenge. But this can only last for 2 hours and the side effects you will not be able to move your body for 1 week." The man explained.

"All right, I'll give him this thing." Ivan gave his mother something.

"Before I leave, I'll tell you about my adventurer friend, most likely your father" the man said.

"What! Our dad? Is that really uncle?" ask them both.

"Yes that's right, your father used to party with me and always carried this thing. But when he last partied with me he said that he was married to a woman from a very distant village and she already had 1 child and would soon have 1 more...." The man told a story.

"Hey, where's that thing you always carry?"

"Ahh, I've given it to my wife."

"What! You're married? Why didn't you invite me?"

"Ahh sorry, that place is so far away so I can't invite you."

"So, how's your wife doing now?"

"She's pregnant, I'll see her soon after completing this mission."

"No, I already have a child and will have 1 more hahahah."

But while carrying out the mission someone betrayed and brought the other adventurers to attack us both from behind.

"I was able to escape them because your father was buying time for me to escape."

"After I got away from them, I went back to see your father but he's gone." The man finished telling the story.

Upon hearing the story, Ivan became very angry and went straight to his village to avenge himself.

"Thank you uncle for telling me about my father, then we go first" Ivan said farewell.

"Ahh well, if you want to get out of this forest through there." The man showed his direction.

Then they walked through the road shown by the man and turned out to be quite close to his village. After getting close enough to his village Ivan asked his younger brother to wait outside the village.

"You wait here, I'll be right back" said Ivan.

After that Ivan met the adventurers and killed them all with the help of a potion given by someone in the forest. Ivan went on a rampage after drinking the potion and destroyed the entire village. He took revenge on his mother. After 2 hours of rampaging, Ivan finally fainted due to the side effects of the potion. He was unable to move his body for 1 week. She was helped by her sister when she could not move her body.

Since that incident, Ivan began training very hard in order to become a powerful adventurer. The one he originally wanted to become an adventurer who protected many people suddenly his desire changed. The only desire he had until before he died was to take revenge on the adventurers. He became very resentful of adventurers. Although he had taken revenge on the adventurers who had killed his mother, his hatred still did not disappear.

The hatred grew stronger after hearing the story from his father's friend, that his father was an adventurer as well. His father was killed while on a mission with him because one of the adventurer party members betrayed him.

After Ivan felt that he was strong enough, he along with his sister headed to the city of Argo and registered to become an adventurer.They are both currently 16 years old. Ivan and Evan sign up to be a man not only to adventure or protect many people, but he wants to destroy the adventurers in the city.

When he reached the city of Argo, he immediately headed to the adventurer guild and registered himself as an adventurer. Ivan was very excited when he signed up to become an adventurer because he was finally able to destroy adventurers.

Evan had actually advised her brother not to do that for years, but still her brother was very stubborn.

"Son, are we gonna do it? I beg you, brother, don't do that" said Evan.

"You're it! Always advising me all the time! Aren't you tired! I'll do it even if you don't come!" bent Ivan

Evan followed his brother's plan. Although her mother was killed by adventurers, she still did not hate adventurers like her brother. He still wanted to become an adventurer that protected many people.

But that wish could not be done because of her brother's wish. She was actually intending to stay away from her brother but she was reminded by her mother's last words that, they should continue to be together.

She can't do anything to do her wish, she ends up always going along with her brother's plans. She always advised her brother when his sister did her wish. She hoped her brother would quit his wish.

One day, we invited one of the adventurers to party with them to destroy the adventurer, but failed because the adventurer turned out to be very strong. They were almost killed by his own plan. Ivan finally found out that he was not strong enough. In the end, he was only targeting beginners.

We have destroyed quite a number of beginners after a few years of being adventurers. Ivan eventually became addicted to his wishes. Evan who always advises her brother finally became desperate because his advice was not listened to at all by his brother. But Evan still hopes that his brother changes.

We originally did just that alone, but suddenly 2 adventurers came and joined them. They also had a reason to crush the adventurers. They also hate adventurers because their families are killed by adventurers as well.

In the end Ivan accepted the two of them to join. They are constantly looking for beginners to be invited to the party and do the plan. But there are also those who refuse because they heard from their friends that they often leave adventurers while on missions so that the adventurers never come back again.

Until in the end we were trapped by our own plan after inviting a hearter party. They were all killed by the Goblin commander except Evan. He was saved by a healer they were invited to. It turned out that the healer turned out to be so strong that he could defeat the Goblin Commander alone.

And now Evan is killed by a Goblin Commander for trying to protect someone while fighting against millions of Goblins.

Before his death, he said in his heart, "I'll catch up with you Mother, brother.

I just did what I wanted to do since I was a kid. Even if it's just one person. But I don't know if he'll survive or not. I hope he'll be okay."
