Gabriel stared intently at Klein and Lieutenant Sarga. It seemed like these two men from the start did indeed want to look for trouble with him. Of the many witnesses who saw the accident, only Gabriel and his two friends were asked to come to the police station.
" The Deputy General has been honest from the beginning you've targeted me, right ?"
Klein smiled faintly hearing that. " To be frank we suspect you are Mr. Gabriel. Your father's company made the car and it is not impossible if the car is modified in such a way. Plus your attitude is inversely proportional to what many people talk about, making us have to investigate you." he explained.
" Then what does that have to do with me and Hansen, the venerable Vice General sir ?" Reina asked in a tone full of emphasis.
Klein rubbed the sweat on his forehead with a handkerchief. This young miss in front of him had indeed really made him feel completely wrong.
" I'll call my lawyer then" Gabriel said. It seems like this time it is quite a serious matter, he thought.
" Please Mr. Gabriel. That's your right, but we're just here to ask for your information." Klein replied.
Gabriel clucked slowly. Likewise with Hansen who had held back furious because he had not been considered.
" E.g., could you please change the Deputy General's question ? I feel like you just asked Gabriel" Hansen said.
Klein turned to look at Hansen. The handsome man Klein knew was a famous photographer. " Wait your turn, Mr. Hansen."
Hansen nodded his head in understanding. " Why don't you just ask us at once ? We were in the same place, time and place. Sorry, Deputy General, Gabriel and I are used to sharing things with each other, including your questions."
" So, please don't give us questions in turns because it makes me uncomfortable" she continued.
Klein was silent for a moment hearing the question Hansen was saying. Trying to digest every word in the speech that came out of Hansen before nodding in understanding.
" It turns out the power of friendship is quite interesting as well." Klein chuckled while changing his sitting position to be more relaxed to melt the atmosphere that had begun to heat up. Though his intention was only to take information from Gabriel without the intention of taking it to the authorities or holding him as a suspect. But who would have thought Klein even saw a friendship that is very rare in today's times.
Hansen smiled then grabbed Gabriel by the shoulder and looked at Klain meaningfully. " Someday you'll see the great things of our friendship, Deputy General."
" I'll wait for Mr. Hansen. So...., can you explain what you were doing while you were at the restaurant at the time ?" ask Klein.
Hansen let go of his embrace to Gabriel. " We were eating before Reina came to Gabriel and met me, because I didn't know Gabriel had a childhood friend, Reina. Then as we were talking to each other we heard a loud clashing sound from in front of the restaurant. Then we decided to look at it and it turned out to be a big accident. Not only that, Reina turned out to have a blood phobia. So we decided to leave before the media knew we were there. And..."
" You certainly know what is image and reality in the business world, right Vice General ? Whether you like it or not, the image should be the best to take precedence." Hansen continued with his trademark smile staring at Klein.
...*****...
" What is your reality like ?" ask Klein.
Hansen sat leaning back and shrugged indifferently. " All I know is that Gabriel and I aren't good enough to take care of something that's useless to us."
" Because it's actually quite troublesome. The Deputy General of all deeds there must be a reason behind it. Have hidden intentions like you do today" Gabriel said.
Klein was shocked to hear Gabriel's words opening up to him. " I'm not like that."
Klein sighed. " I'm just running errands from Miss Reina's superior."
Reina clucked with her cynical look. The reason for the military if it's cornered is always so.
" Are you not afraid that your current information will be posted in the media tomorrow morning ?" seeing the courage of Gabriel, Hansen, and Reina. Klein looked curiously at the three people in front of him at this moment.
" Just try and see the reaction. I'm sure you'll be in the headlines, Deputy General." Gabriel raised his chin against Klein.
" Image is the most important thing, Deputy General. Even a king will fall if he does not have a good image in the eyes of his people. Good name is number one." Hansen said.
" And let's not forget that I'm working as the Deputy General's lawyer." Reina spoke up.
" I know very well about the law of this matter" he continued.
Klein rubbed his temple. Why does it seem like things are turning upside down for him. Klein should have threatened them not the other way around. " Mister and miss. I can't do this without proof. Everything I do is in accordance with the evidence."
" Just like you Deputy General, we will not answer any questions according to your thinking because we did not do it" Hansen said.
" Please explain how a car from Mr. George's company can run itself without a driver" Klein said.
Hansen, Gabriel, and Reina were silent at the thought of the problem of self-driving cars that were beyond their logical wits.
" Have you investigated that car ?" ask Hansen.
Klein nodded. " It's been even the Generals directly investigating it themselves. But still we didn't find anything."
" What about tech scientists ?" this time Gabriel asked.
" It's still the same Mr. Gabriel." Klein replied.
" Have you dismantled that car ?" Hansen asked again.
" Already but we still didn't find anything." Klein replied.
Hansen thought back while Gabriel continued to make sense for a way out of the matter. If until this problem can not be solved then his career will be at stake here. Even his father's company will be affected.
Hansen patted Gabriel on the shoulder. " Look down, we'll find a way out together."
Gabriel smiled faintly at Hansen without any intention of replying.
" Secretary General let's bet here. If I can find any evidence that we're innocent, you have to let us go" Hansen said.
" Good." Klein nodded in agreement.
