On An Island

On An Island
Grandfather and the Island's Aborigines

Grandfather loosened his arms after a few minutes, and told the pilot to contact the other team.

"Contact everyone and get ready to go home" Grandpa said excitedly.

Cresen. The word 'back' that he had always dreamed of finally materialized. But not knowing why, his heart felt empty. He subconsciously turned to the Chief and the islanders.

"Grandfather, didn't you just arrive. And must have been a very exhausting journey. Take a break to gather energy." Unknowingly Cresen made his grandfather frown.

"Aren't you going back?" asked grandpa confused.

Grandpa's mind changed. He who thought that Cresen was kidnapped, now feels that his grandson deliberately ran away from him.

"But that's impossible?" inner grandpa then.

"Of course I want to go home!" exclaimed Cresen smiling while hugging his grandfather.

"But I found a treasure here. I'll show it to Grandpa. Trust me, grandfather won't regret it."

Currently Oryza Sativa and the other island natives were staring at Cresen without blinking. As if afraid of losing precious time, to see Cresen one last time.

Cresen approached while holding his grandfather's hand. Then introduce grandfather to the Chief and others.

"So, in your world. Can even babies have babies?" ask the islanders to Cresen.

"What a strange baby, why does she look sad?" ask the other islanders.

"sad? Sad what?" ask Cresen.

The islanders showed aging wrinkles on grandfather's face. Cresen only realized that on the island nothing looks as old as his grandfather. Because they live long and young. The oldest one even looks like he's in his 40s.

"Not a baby, our body size is indeed this," replied Cresen while patting his midwife.

"And this man is the highest size in our country, although there may still be taller. But it's just a coincidence." Cresen tried to explain.

"But before we discuss it. Can my grandfather stay here?" ask Cresen.

Hearing the words of the villagers smiling. Looking at each other and looking at Cresen then nodded quickly. But that smile immediately faded as Cresen continued his sentence.

"A few days, until we get back home" Cresen continued.

Only Oryza Sativa smiled. Hugged Cresen and answered him with a heavy tone. It seems obvious that he is trying hard.

"Yes..all right..," he said.

"Come with grandpa and ... " Oryza Sativa stopped her speech and pointed towards the man next to grandfather.

The man bowed in respect. Cresen asked his name. And the man answered with a number. Then Cresen told Oryza Sativa.

"Wait, the rest of the team is still in the forest. And I'm sure they must be in danger." The man who had escaped from his bond suddenly made a sound.

Cresen looked at the man. Then he thought about something. Imagine how much danger the wild animals in this island. Especially in areas that may specifically be their habitat.

"Panthera Tigris, you can take people to find the group of men in uniform. They must not be difficult to recognize. Everyone wears the same clothes as the two of them." Cresen tried to call for help.

"of course. We'll help find." Without a doubt Panthera Tigris immediately agreed.

"Then we go back first. It'll be easier if you're looking for more" says Oryza Sativa.

"Yes well," replied Panthera Tigris again without bidding.

Oryza Sativa rode the King Guardians bird and invited Cresen to ride. While Grandpa went into the basket that would be carried by the Panthera Tigris. And the other uniformed man entered the basket of one of the islanders.

"Then I will stand guard on the plane and send a sign for the other team, to call the members back on the plane." The pilot did what he said.

Immediately he boarded a rubber boat and rowed up to the plane. Sending his positional mark to the others. And also signalling for everyone to return to position.

Cresen and Oryza Sativa leave. So also with the others to the village. The Chieftain and Cresen arrived earlier than the others.

Then Cresen ordered the islanders to release the men in uniform. And tell me the plan that's been talked about by the beach.

"So the young master already believes in us?"

"Yes. And it's time to find the rest of the team." Cresen also gave directions to the islanders.

Without wasting time, everyone moves. Some of the islanders left with one man in uniform. The goal is that they can communicate with their team and can join in the village.

"Hopefully succeed" said Cresen.

Their weapons were returned by Cresen. In order to be used by the Cresen search team at a crucial time.

Not long after that Grandpa Cresen arrived. After he got out of the basket, Panthera Tigris took the man in uniform with him to search for the rest of Cresen's search team.

"Have you gone looking for them?" ask Cresen to Oryza Sativa.

"No, I'll be here with you and .. " he said confusedly mentioning Cresen's grandfather.

"Grandfather." Cresen completes the sentence Oryza Sativa.

Oryza Sativa smiled and nodded. The entire islanders who did not come looking noticed Cresen's grandfather. They asked Cresen a lot of questions.

"So your grandfather had a baby. And the baby has a baby. And that baby is you" said the islanders.

Cresen nodded.

"How many times did the full moon go up and down that your grandfather went through?" ask them again.

Cresen seemed to think. He also calculated the age of his grandfather and multiplied by 12. And tell me the answer.

"It turns out your grandpa was a kid, right?" say them.

Because when compared with the age of the population, the age of grandfather is still classified as children.

"If you may know, what animal skin did your grandfather wear? It doesn't look too thick and it's a different shape to the animal skin we see so often."

"It's a garment made of cotton" replied Cresen.

Then he told me about the process of making clothes. The babies who listened looked enthusiastic. They were silent without speaking as if they were listening to a fairy tale before going to bed.

Although Cresen explained in detail, they still could not capture the true meaning. And in the end they fell asleep.

"What a wonderful story, I can't imagine it yet. But it's amazing." One of the residents gave an opinion.

Although I don't understand. He wants to look cool. And the action was followed by another. One of them clapped his hands. Others follow along too. Cresen's grandfather who didn't understand their language could only smile.

"If the story is finished. Time to take a shower!" exclaim nanny Cresen.
