happy enjoying.

I raised my right hand slightly to silence Angela.

There was a player at the end of the scanned area.

When I focused on scanning the area behind me, many green cursors began to appear, indicating that there were many players there.

There's no way it's a band of robbers.

Robbers always hunted players weaker than them, so they were very rarely seen around the front lines, where all the strongest players gathered.

More importantly, when a player commits a crime, their cursor will turn orange and will not return to green for a long time.

What I'm worried about is their numbers.

I opened the map from the main menu and put it in the show mode position so Angela could see it.

A map of the area affected by my scan shows a green cursor.

There are twelve people.

“A lot...”

I nodded at what Angela said.

Usually when there were too many members in a party, it would become more difficult to fight, so five or six people was the ideal number.

“See the number of people.”

The cluster of light quickly headed this way in the form of a neat two-line row.

Except inside a dangerous dungeon, it was rare for me to see such a large compact group above the field.

If we could see the level of its members, we might be able to figure out what they were doing, but players could not even see the names of other players they had just met.

It was the default system created to prevent players from doing PKill killing players freely, so that only left us the option to guess their level by looking at their equipment.

I closed the map and glanced at Angela.

“We have to see who they are.

Let's hide behind the trees until they pass.”

“Ya, you're right.”

Angela nodded with a tense expression.

We climbed onto a small cliff and ducked behind a bush almost as close as our bodies.

It was a great place to observe the group as they passed by.

“Ah..”

Angela suddenly looked at her clothes. His red and white uniform was rather striking among these green trees.

“What should I do? I don't have any other equipment.”.

The points are getting closer, they are now within our visibility.

“I'm sorry for a minute.”

I opened my coat and used her to cover Angela as well.

Angela glared at me a little but finally allowed me to cover it up.

The coat is not very nice to look at, but it gives a high hiding bonus.

With this, it would be difficult to realize us without using high-level scanning skills.

“Well, this coat is not very good, but it is very useful right?”

“Tau ah! …shh, they're coming!”

Angela whispered and put her finger on her lips.

I bowed more Slowly, we could see the group passing through the path.

All of them were wearing black metal armor and the same green fighting clothes.

Their equipment had a normal design, except for the castle drawings on each of their striking shields.

Six people in front have one-handed swords and six in the back have halberds.

They all lowered their helmet covers, so we couldn't see their expressions.

When we looked at the twelve players walking in perfect rows, I thought they were a group of NPCs.

I'm sure now.

They were members of a large group that made the city on the first floor as their headquarters: .

I could feel Angela holding her breath.

They were not enemies to ordinary players.

In fact, they could be considered the most hard-working group to stop crime.

But their way was a little rough, and some say that they attacked the orange— player so called because their cursor was orange— immediately after they were found and without saying anything.

Then they would strip the orange players' equipment and imprison them inside the dungeon of the Black Iron Castle.

Rumors about how to treat people who do not give up and fail to escape are rather frightening.

They also often roam with party members and control the entire hunting area, so the phrase "shouldn't go near "becomes common knowledge among players.

Well, they usually operate on the fifties and below, trying to strengthen their group and enforce the law, so it's rare to see them on the front lines.

The twelve warriors disappeared into the forest along with the sound of their armor and shoes.

Looking at the way all players got their hands on the software, you could tell that most of the people trapped in the World War of Online Sword were game maniacs, who did not care about words or the like.

But the fact that they still show regular movement is great.

They are probably the strongest units of .

After confirming that they had gone out of the map boundary, Angela and I heaved a sigh of relief.

“...rumor, real..”.

I whispered to Angela while my coat was still covering her to ask.

“Rumor?”

"Yes, I heard during the guild meeting that it changed the way they worked and began to appear on the upper floors. They were once referred to as a group trying to complete the game right? but after the damage they received when fighting the boss on the 25th floor, they began to focus on strengthening their group and stopped fighting on the front lines. So, instead of going to the labyrinth with such a large amount as they usually do, they, they decide to dispatch smaller and elite units and try to show that they are still trying hard to finish the game. Report says that the first unit will appear soon.”

“So, they showed off their abilities. But will they be fine crashing just like that into an unspoiled area…? They look high level but..”.

“Maybe...they will try to beat the boss..”.

In each labyrinth, there was one boss guarding the stairs to the next floor..

They did not appear anymore and they were very strong, but the reputation and popularity gained to beat them was huge.

It would definitely be very effective to gain the honor.

“So they gathered those people…? But it's still stupid. There was still no one who had seen the boss from the 74th floor. Usually, people will continue to send out aid groups to analyze the strength and fighting style of boss.”

“Well, even the guilds worked together to defeat the bosses. Maybe they did the same.?”

“I don't know.. Well, they should also know that trying to fight a boss like this would be a waste. We have to hurry. I hope we won't meet them there.”

I woke up and was a bit sorry for having to let go of Angela.

Asuna shivered as she came out of my coat.

“Now it's almost winter. Where'd you buy that coat?"
