Not Ordinary Slant
The Forty Seven

Early in the morning, my mother was surprised by the presence of Rafis who knocked on the door of papa's room. Luckily Agya had been away from work a while ago.

"Gapain you?"

"Ma!" Gio who was already wearing a school uniform, approached them. "Papa want to see Bang Rafis."

My mom's expression seemed to disagree. He looked back, looking at the father who was already sitting in a wheelchair this morning. Then, look at Rafis again. "Don't be long, yeah! My husband needs a break."

Rafis smiled, then nodded. Then, politely permit her to enter the room and pass by the mother. Mama's gaze followed Rafis' movements sharply. He wouldn't let the installer boy ruin the last seconds of their perfect plan.

"Ma, Papa told us to come out" whispered Gio who was immediately greeted with a look of no acceptance of mama. However, papa turned to her and nodded, making mama unwillingly leave the two of them.

When outdoors, not once did mama peek inside through the window. He saw Rafis sitting on his knees in front of papa. I don't know what they're talking about, it seems serious.

Mom sometimes saw my dad nod and smile. In fact, when Rafis stopped and kissed the back of papa's hand, papa seemed to wipe the top of Rafis' head with his left hand while smiling.

Not until half an hour, Rafis stepped out of the room which was immediately greeted by sharp glances mama. "What the hell are you doing, by the way?"

"But! Mama kepo," said Gio. Then, the tall teenager hugged Rafis' shoulder. "Bang, I'm anterin to school, yeah. Males got a motor, scared of freezing."

Rafis laughed, then nodded in agreement. Then, politely say goodbye to my mother.

"See you tonight, Auntie."

"Better you do not come, if the intention is to make trouble," hardik mama.

Rafis just smiled, then walked down the aisle with Gio.

"Bang, did you say anything to Papa?"

He sat up straight in a wheelchair. His face looked cheerful as Agya pushed him from behind. After, reject Rafka's offer to help him.

"The bride-to-be's kasian must wara-wiri to the hospital. Though only a few more hours want to meet," seduced mama. They walk side by side. Meanwhile, Agya walks in front by pushing papa's wheelchair.

"It's okay, Mom. Gya's parents, just old people."

Mama smiled happily. "If so, call Mama, dong. It will soon be Rafka's son Mama's too."

"Yes, Ma," replied Rafka timidly.

Apparently Bastian's residence has been decorated so beautifully. Decorations that are dominated by soft pink color, have been installed nicely in the corner of the house. Fresh flowers that are blooming also seem ready to be a polluter tonight.

Several wedding organizer officers seemed to be passing by with their respective busyness when Agya entered the house by pushing a wheelchair. He seemed to focus on pushing his wheelchair and taking it straight to his room to rest without looking back and forth. Looks like the girl doesn't care about the wedding decorations tonight.

Papa held the back of Agya's hand, then pulled her to have her daughter stand in front of him. "Ja-ngan," said papa with great difficulty.

Agya bent her knees, then squatted in front of papa. Then, a warm smile. "Papa's worried, huh? Gya is okay. Gya can."

Papa's lips seemed to shake, he laboriously moved his hand, then pulled Agya into his arms. The little girl has grown up.

"You .. should be happy. Papa promised." A sentence that my father spoke with stammering. It was the longest sentence he had completed since his consciousness. A sentence that managed to knock down the stubbornness of an Agya Sofia.

Finally, the girl cried too. Crying until a hiccup in papa's arms. In the warm arms of a man who loves him unconditionally.

Thank you, Pa.
