Between Two Choices

In the morning, somewhere.

Lin Jian along with some of his confidants came to a residence that was supposed to be his mother's residence, based on what the Emperor had told him.

However, the residence located in the small village seems to have been uninhabited. Some of the buildings were almost devoured by the weeds. Some have started to break down, get dusty and dirty.

Unfortunately, there, he could not find anything related to his mother. Lin Jian stood up in annoyance, thinking that the Emperor had deceived him. But before long, an object on the table caught his attention.

Slowly, he stepped out and picked up the thing that was wrapped in dust. Then he took the edge of his clothes and started cleaning them.

"Hairpole?" Lin Jian widened his eyes. The pattern on the hairpin made her childhood memory appear, reminding her that she had seen the hairpick stick pretty on her mother's head.

However, not long after, a subordinate came to him. "Your Majesty, a letter came from the commander of Thang Su," the person said.

Lin Jian scrunched his forehead. "Letter from Commander Thang Su? How's it possible?" his inner.

Despite the doubts, Lin Jian stretched out his hand, took the letter and began to open it slowly. "This ... letter from sister-in-law Mei An?" Now it amazes him even more.

The day passed so quickly. Upon arriving at the palace, Lin Jian hurried off to meet the Emperor with quick steps and a flat face full of anger.

He even kicked the door of the Emperor's room. Making everyone who was there surprised by his presence, especially the Emperor himself.

His arrival was instead greeted by dozens of swords that were pointed at him by soldiers. Lin Jian scrunched his forehead as he asked, "what does this mean, Father?" With a sharp look.

The emperor straightened his body and raised his right hand. Instantly, the soldiers slowly lowered their weapons.

"My son, Lin Jian. You came back very quickly. How, did you find what you wanted all this time?" tanyakanya.

"You know better than I do. Didn't we?" ask Lin Jian. "Your Majesty Emperor Lin, I am with you doing something to my Empress. Is that true?" continued.

Hearing that, the Emperor only frowned while throwing a sharp glare. Before long, he got up from his seat and stood upright with both hands folded back.

"Right," he replied which made Lin Jian clench his hand. "Shen Yun Ja has committed treason against the kingdom. He conspired with the enemy to steal important documents" he explained.

"He can't do it!" Lin Jian denied the Emperor's accusation against Yunza.

Silence occurs in that place. Until Lin Jian asked. "Where is he? What the hell did you do to her? Father, all this time I have always obeyed all your wishes without exception. And it was none other than finding my mother. However, you are nothing but a con man" he continued.

"I hope, you don't forget that up to any time you'll never be able to hurt Yunza. Long State, they---"

"Regarding that, you don't have to worry." The Emperor interrupted Lin Jian's remark. He looked straight and then looked at a smile. "Whatever the Long country is, it won't be able to defeat Hou. Because ... I have a very strong ally," he continued.

Suddenly, Lin Jian drew the sword and brandished it right before the Emperor. All of the soldiers again raised their swords just in case Lin Jian did anything.

"I won't let anyone touch her!" said Lin Jian.

The emperor stared with a flat face. "of course. I want to see if you'll choose your mother or your wife" said the Emperor.

"Well, Lin Jian, I gave you two choices. Between your mother and wife, which one would you choose?" tanyanya.

Hearing the question the Emperor asked, Lin Jian instead laughed sinisterly. "You've done the same trick and you've finally tricked me. Father, if you say that to Lin He, he will definitely believe it. But not with me," replied Lin Jian.

The Emperor snorted in annoyance, until finally hinting something at the advisor beside him. Moments later, he walked to a door in the room and opened it.

What was inside the secret room left everyone shocked. They don't seem to believe what they're seeing.

Lin Jian who sensed the same thing, slowly lowered his sword with a glare of eyes staring unblinkingly at the secret room.

Counselors come in and take out a woman by breaking her.

"No way ... mother," said Lin Jian in a soft shrill voice.

The woman in shabby clothes looked extremely weak helpless. He slowly raised his head and looked at his son with a heartbroken look full of yearning.

"Lin Jian." The voice that Lin Jian so longed for finally could he hear back.

It's still hard for him to believe. What was before him was the person he had been looking for all along. Lin Jian released the sword in his hand and subconsciously walked over to his mother. However, only a few steps a soldier hit his head until he fell unconscious.

"Lin Jian!" shouting mother. "What did you do to him? Don't hurt her!" mother said to the Emperor.

The emperor looked at him. "You just calm down. He is still useful to me, I will not kill him," the Emperor said with a face without compassion.

I didn't think about it with her. "You are so cruel, wait for your destruction!" his vow. Not long after, some people dragged him away from before the Emperor. Same with Lin Jian.
