Village Head Story

A few days passed after the news of Lin Yu's death, Lin Jian and Yunza went to Jongwu village to find out about his mother's whereabouts. Of course, their journey was unknown to the others especially by the Emperor.

After a full day's journey, they arrived at the place before dark.

Upon arrival, Yunza was stunned by the village. The environment is very clean, lanterns and beautiful trinkets decorate the streets of the village.

"The festival will take place tomorrow night. Now, we'd better find an inn first. Come on, Yunza." Lin Jian clasped Yunza's hand, and they walked together.

"Wah~ I've never been to a place like this before. Very amusing. It looks like we're dating a lover." Yunza laughed a little.

At the inn, they instantly rented one room to rest tonight. Upon arrival in the room, Yunza immediately lay down on the bed due to fatigue on the way.

Outside the room, Lin Jian stood for quite a while while making sure that no one was there. "Wang Xi!" He called his bodyguard. A moment later, Wang Xi was already before him in a kneeling position.

"Servant here, Your Majesty."

"Let's see if there's a family in this village with the Mu clan, and if they know Mu Jiangyu's name. Check everyone and don't miss a single one" he ordered.

"Okay, Your Majesty."

Lin Jian hinted at him to leave. Then, he went to meet the Village Chief to discuss something with him.

His sudden arrival in the village made the Village Chief surprised. A simple welcome was made by his wife and two daughters.

"The village head need not be excessive. I came here because I heard there was going to be a summer festival. So, I invited my wife to take a look," said Lin Jian.

"My wife?" The village chief asked.

"Right, my Empress."

As they chatted, the two Village Chief's daughters continuously stared at Lin Jian without blinking. They were fascinated by the perfect good looks she had.

"It was fortunate to be the second prince's empress. However, if not wrong, the Empress was not that stupid girl from Long country, as rumored? Why would the second prince want to be with her?" muttered the sister.
