Day change day. The dry season has changed the rainy season. The rainy season is short. And now, the dry season is back, spreading its wings all over the realm.
The dried leaves fall off. Some trees look slurred. Currently, mid-July 2021.
A bustling atmosphere was seen in front of the office of Madrasah Aliyah Yaqin Pemondah. The third-graders who had just received the graduation announcement from the head of the Madrasah, were seen cheering and hugging each other. The atmosphere was getting boisterous because some students started spraying pilog towards the clothes of his friends. Not wanting her clothes dirty, Layla who was in the middle of the crowd of other students immediately came out and ran around looking for a safe place. Although her other friends tried to pull her hand to stay in place, Layla insisted on going away. His desk mate, Julia, ran after him. They both chose to enter and hide in the library room.
"It's not the time to go to the library, Layla. We have graduated. After this we will go to the beach with our friends. Uh, instead of going to the library," Layla said after the two had sat on the library reading bench. The quiet and quiet atmosphere of the library made Julia's voice echo. Layla gestured with her index finger on her lips for Julia to shut up.
"If you don't want to, why are you here?" ask Layla. Layla's reply made Julia look pouty.
"But you didn't go to the beach" asked Julia again. Layla stood up and walked slowly towards the bookshelf. After sorting through the books in front of him, he picked up two books and brought them back to his seat. One of the books thrust in front of Julia. Julia did not respond. He just kept silent to see the book whose cover position was reversed. She was not happy because Layla did not answer her question.
Layla sighs. Julia's hand she placed on the table was held by him. Layla smiles. Seeing Julia still pouting, Layla pinched her chin.
"Already, don't frown. Then I won't answer your question" Layla said. Julia stared at Layla. After a moment the two looked at each other, both of them smiling in unison. Layla embraces Julia's body.
"God willing, we'll see" Layla replied. Julia smile. The book in front of him was in his grasp and flipping it. His forehead shriveled when he saw the book cover he was holding.
"Very marriage?"
Layla glanced and smiled.
"Just graduated already wants to discuss marriage." Julia pushed the book back in front of Layla.
"We better discuss our college plan to Java. Yesterday I asked where I was going to college. I said, wherever Layla goes to college, I go" Julia said.
Layla closed the book she was reading. He turned his body and faced Julia. Julia's shoulder was held.
"I don't think I'm going to college, Julia. But don't let you go to college" Layla said. Julia's eyes are pinching. He looked at Layla.
"You're serious, La,"
Layla nodded. A slight smile was seen on both lips that he was sticking to each other.
"But why, La. Why is it suddenly broken like this. It's impossible if you don't have the cost to study you,"
Layla brought her body closer to Layla's.
"Promise not to tell anyone?"
Both of Julia's eyeballs moved watching Layla's gaze. He nodded.
"I.mau directly S3, remember, you promised not to tell anyone. This is between the two of us," Layla said with a smile. Julia's nose is poked softly. Julia pulled her body slightly back. He smiled as if looking for seriousness on Julia's face.
"Seriously you, La."
"Seriously, La," asked Julia a second time while shaking Layla's body. Layla sighs. He began to put on a sullen face when Julia did not stop moving her body.
"Try to find just one when I've lied to you. If there is I give you money" Layla said. Julia's eyes glanced upwards.
"It doesn't exist" Julia answered. Layla smiles. He went back to reading books. Julia who still did not believe held her hand.
"Seriously this, La."
"Oh my God, Julia." Layla stands. Half annoyed, he closed the book and stood up. Not wanting to see Layla angry, Julia stood up while holding Layla's hand.
"Ok, ok, I believe." Julia took Layla back to her seat. Layla's back rubbed gently.
"But why so fast, Layla. Where was Layla who used to have those high ideals?" julia said after successfully making Layla smile again. Layla gave a long sigh. The glare of his sparkling eyes and the look of his cheerful face showed that he was currently imagining something beautiful in front of him.
"Faster is better. Girls should not linger to be virgins. In this age there is a lot of slander," replied Layla after a long silence.
"Wow, the answer is very religious. Iiih..," said Julia while clucking Layla's cheek. Layla just smiled.
"About having Master Teacher's brother. Then, if you may know, which guy is who?" ask Julia.
Layla's heart immediately beat fast when the name of Master Izzul Islam was called. His face suddenly turned red. For some reason, he suddenly felt embarrassed when the name of Master Izzul Islam was mentioned.
Seeing Layla return to silence for a long time, Julia patted him on the shoulder. Layla smiles. He blushed in shame.
"Consecret. But I'll tell you soon. God willing, next week you will know" Layla said. He closed the book in front of him and got up and put the book back on the shelf.
"Come on, I guess friends have all gone home. Remember, do not let this secret spread before its time" Layla said. He held Julia's hand and asked her out.
"Seriously this, La," he said again still curious as Layla pulled her hand out. Layla stopped her steps. Upset because Julia asked the question continuously, Julia's hand was released.
"Males, Ah,"
"Layla, wait. I'm kidding, '" Julia shouted as she watched Layla accelerate.

An elderly woman in shabby clothes and a scarf tied to her head was seen pacing in front of the gate of the residence of Master Izzul Islam. His face looked tangled with hair that was randomly unraveled in the wind. Sometimes he rubbed his two watery eyes. At first glance, he was like a beggar who was about to beg. Every now and then his weak hands beat around the gate, hoping that someone would hear it. The atmosphere in the courtyard of the house looked lonely. For some time he sat in front of the gate, no one he saw in the courtyard or terrace of the house. He heard a child crying in there. He wished the occupants of the house to open the door and see his presence in front of the gate. But after a long wait and no one came out of the house, he turned his back and walked away.
The sun was so stinging. The blue sky was clearly visible without any scratches from the clouds blocking the full shining sun in the middle of the sky.
Rianti opened the door. He looked around. He heard the sound of iron being struck from outside the house while Jamila was preparing lunch in the kitchen.
After making sure no one was outside the house, Rianti went back inside the house.
