Eps. 17
Author POV.
"Why didn't you tell me the hell you guys were? My mom hasn't prepared anything." Bu Nur said as he released his embrace to Shintia.
"This mama, her name also wants a surprise. If you know, no surprise, the name." Reply Shintia.
"At least I said, suddenly it came. What do you think," replied Mama.
"Well ma, coming wrong doesn't come wrong. Does it have to be anything before can it come?" Ketus Sophia's.
"Dear, enough. Mama relented, the point is mama was so happy you guys came. Mama misses me a lot."
Jihan was standing quietly in her place. With a smile as sweet as possible.
"Who is ma?" Shintia asked when she saw Jihan. "What a sweet nib, Haikal's playmate?"
Jihan smiled awkwardly, mom immediately introduced Jihan to her two daughters.
"No boy, this is Jihan, she's Arga's wife. What my mom told me about that time,"
"Yeah? Waahh was young, beautiful again," Shintia approached Jihan. "Hi Jihan, how are you?"
"Okay, brother himself?" Reply Jihan smiled.
"Well, you're so sweet. Arga's right to agree to marry you, can you hug?"
Jihan laughed awkwardly, "sister can, of course, hug."
Shintia immediately spread her arms and hugged Jihan. The two look very familiar even though they have only met for the first time.
Unlike Sophia who looks dislike Jihan and continues to look at her with a dislike view. Jihan just covered him with a smile.
"Sophia, acquaintance used to be with our sister-in-law." Shintia exclaimed as she let go of her embrace.
Sophia only gave a slight smile, and reached out to shake hands with Jihan.
"Greetings, yes. Call Phia aja," she said in a slightly slender tone.
Jihan grabbed the helping hand, "It's nice to meet Phia's sister, "smile.
"That's doang? Hugs dong, come on hugs," said Shintia.
"Yes Phia, you have to be familiar you know, don't be so tired," continued mama.
"What's important is acquaintance, I think it's enough ma." Sophia's reply was brief.
That brief introduction could clearly be felt by Jihan as a sign of Sophia's dislike of him. There was no happy face or smile that Sophia showed, from now on just putting on a tart face if she saw Jihan. Clearly Jihan can conclude that this one brother-in-law is not an easy person to deal with.
"Where is this kid? Not coming, huh?" Bu Nur asked where his grandchildren were.
"Still at school, ma. His father will be the one to pick him up. We're only here for a minute, I happen to be a little relaxed today." Reply Shintia.
"Ohh so come here just because it's just a matter of reluctance. Mama thought I missed mom."
"It's not like that, ma, we miss it too, is it Phia?" Nudging Phia's arm.
"Yes ma, don't think bad-bad as we dong." Reply Sophia.
"Yes ma, we are here also all want to know our sister-in-law, yes Jihan. There's a lot you want to tell Jihan," Shintia was very excited.
"Oiya sister, I'm really looking forward to the story of brother," Jihan replied.
After that they decided to bring Jihan to chat together to get to know each other more closely.
They were already sitting in the guest room, with Jihan holding back trembling half to death.
Duhh felt like he wanted to be in court.
"Oiya Jihan, now living in her own house with Arga huh?" Finally, Shintia opened the conversation.
"Yes, just close to my mom's house. Stop by sometime, sister," Jihan smiled.
"Of course, later brother Ajakin nephew Arga let them close with his young aunt, hehe." Shintia tried to melt the atmosphere.
In contrast to Shintia who tried to build intimacy, Sophia actually increasingly disliked when her brother tried to bring their child closer to Jihan.
Until an idea came to Sophia's mind. He wanted to shower Jihan with many questions.
''Oiya, you're still in school, huh?'' ask Sophia.
Jihan looked at her sister-in-law briefly, then smiled. ''Yes sis right, '' Jihan put the face mimic as calm as possible.
"Owh, what class?" Sophia continued her question.
"Three high school girls, this is nearing final exams on graduation."
Shintia kept quiet and listened to the two, maybe with this they could get along.
"I'm not ashamed, still married school," stared cynically.
Well, well, my feelings are real. Brother Phia wants to provoke me, just try if you can.
"Who's a friend at school doesn't know you're married?" Resuming question.
Jihan took a deep breath, trying to find an answer that could turn things around. So that he is not easy on the trivial.
"That problem is yes, brother. No one really knows about my personal life. I am also not the type of person who would let others find out carelessly, about matters I am ashamed of or not. Yes, obviously not, brother, why should I be ashamed? Female fitrah is basically going to get married 'n the end."
After saying that long sentence, Jihan smiled while holding back her nervousness. He gripped himself tightly to the end of the dres he was wearing.
"Yeah? Show me you got what you can be proud of? what do you think Arga deserves from this marriage?" Staring at Jihan's appearance from top to bottom.
Ohh so this is what it means, okay I'll show you.
Jihan put up a very sturdy wall of confidence to answer Sophia's questions.
Jihan smiled, "Ahh sister-in-law, no need to worry. Of course you already know the answer yourself."
Jihan puffed her chest upright, as if to show if hers were full enough and sure that Arga would be satisfied.
"In addition, I also always prepare all the needs of the Arga mas without the slightest lack. Arga appreciates what I do. So I'm pretty sure Arga is satisfied with me, and I deserve it" Jihan continued.
Oh well, I'm so presumptuous huh? ahh no, that's the truth.
Shintia smiled proudly at Jihan's reply, while Sophia grew increasingly dislikeful as this little girl could answer her like that.
"Young minds are sometimes unstable, often even saying the opposite when he does not want it" Sophia replied.
The look of dislike was getting clearly drawn on Sophia's face. He did not expect that his brother-in-law who was still a child could confidently say that. Maybe he underestimated Jihan too much.
What do you mean, Phia?
"Are you sure about your marriage to Arga? Really feel like you're the best partner for Arga?
The deg! that question upset Jihan's conscience.
Felt too much, Shintia stopped the brother's speech. He is afraid that if left for a long time it will be bad.
"Phia I think that's enough, pity Jihan must be tired right."
"Wait a minute, sister, let her answer first," Sophia still did not want to end the conversation that she thought was exciting.
Jihan was really feeling off guard, really wanting to end all these unimportant talks. It turned out that everything he said just now was not enough to shut his sister-in-law's mouth.
"It's okay Shintia, I think Phia's sister loves Arga very much, so that's why she wants to make sure that Arga's mas gets a good wife."
"Don't put in Jihan's heart" holding Jihan's hand.
Jihan smiled, "If you want to hear my answer then please take a good look. Marriage can last because of the trust between two sisters, and I and Arga are trying to build that trust. My problem is the best couple or not, it can not be proven only by speech alone. I admit, I am also an ordinary woman who has many flaws. The opposite is true with Arga. None of this is best, brother. Arga and I just complement each other to be good. I believe in Arga, and Arga believes in me. That's enough." Pause his words for a moment.
"Me and Arga mas ask for his prayers from Phia and Shintia brother yes, may my marriage with mas Arga last long," he continued.
"I think it's been a while at my mom's house. Soon mas Arga will be home, I want to say goodbye first, brother, all want to prove that I can be a good wife for mas, even though I am younger," the end of the conversation was interspersed with smiles made as sweet as possible.
Jihan stood up while fixing her slightly tangled skirt. He nodded his head to his two sisters-in-law and then went to his in-laws in the kitchen to leave.
"You've gone a little too far with her, Phia."
Speaking after Jihan left them.
"Leave it, I just want to test it."
Shintia looked seriously at Sophia. "I hope that once you hear Jihan's answer, it won't be too much trouble and corner her again."
After saying that Shintia left Phia.
"He said marriage survives because of trust, right? Do you know what a kid like you is about marriage? That's so arrogant."
Don't know what triggers her dislike for Jihan. But once not like it, Sophia still will never like it.
The more he heard Jihan's extremely confident reply. The more enthusiastic he wants to make Jihan do not want to stay long in his family.
