In the morning, Jane woke up with a burning spirit. He always took the time to send a chat message to Irsan before starting his activities.

[Good morning, Mas Irsan 😘]

That was the content of the message Jane sent to Irsan, full of hope that the man would feel a tremor in his heart as well.

Jane took off her blankets, got ready to take a shower, and then had to leave for the company immediately.

"Oh, really, really, have to meet the striped gecko!" he muttered in an annoyed tone towards Jonathan.

 Even so, he knew very well that at work, he had to be professional. He had already signed a contract that bound him for the next few years, and if he dared to break it meant having to be ready to deal with the law.

Jane feels confused between the feeling of enthusiasm to meet Irsan and laziness when dealing with Jonathan, especially if they have to be in one room.

Jane rushed towards the bathroom and quickly took off all her clothes.

He turned on the shower and efficiently rubbed his body in soap, not wanting to linger because he had woken up late this morning.

After getting dressed, he prepared breakfast alone. However, immediately remembered the face of the Oma in Bandung. Worried and longed for Oma, Jane immediately contacted Oma via a video call.

"Again, Oma, Jane is very much the same Oma" said Jane sincerely, and Oma smiled behind the screen of her phone.

"Oma's also missing, baby," Oma replied. The two of them exchanged talks for a few minutes while Jane enjoyed her morning breakfast.

After talking to Oma, Jane closed the video call and immediately grabbed her bag.

He got out of the apartment unit and headed to the basement where he parked his car.

His car drove on the capital's highway which began to be congested by motor vehicles.

Jane was stuck in traffic, and her face began to look anxious. Several times, he glanced at his watch.

"Oh, there's 10 minutes left!" complained Jane with fingers that felt cold and trembling while holding the steering wheel of the car.

"If it's too late, I'll get in trouble!" again with tensions mounting.

Jane breathes heavily and is forced to contact Jonathan to let him know that he is stuck in a traffic jam.

Joe enthusiastically picks up the call from Jane and smiles with his handsome face that fills Jane's phone screen.

"What's up, love?" jonathan asked in a tone full of seduction and joking. Jane shook her head in a careless manner hearing the mention.

"Sir, I'm stuck in traffic, I might be late to the office" Jane said, turning on the rear camera of her phone to show the situation of the capital's crowded streets.

Joe nodded with understanding, and different from his attitude towards other employees, he replied, "No problem."

Jane was relieved after telling Joe about the situation. Eventually, he was able to continue the journey after a fairly severe traffic jam. However, he was already half an hour late from the allotted time.

When Jane arrives at the office, she gets a cynical look from some of the other employees. They dare not be late, even just a few minutes, while Jane is a new employee.

Jane rushed into her room and opened the door with sweat and gasping breath. His presence caught the attention of Jonathan, who was busy in front of his computer screen.

"I'm sorry, sir," Jane said in a respectful tone, and Joe smiled sweetly at her.

"Just remember she looks sexy" Joe thought to himself, focusing on Jane's sweat-filled forehead.

"Please sit down, baby... Uh I mean Jane," Joe uttered the words with a smile, though Jane could feel the tone of his earlier unintentional call.

Jane carefully lowered herself to her office chair, put her bag on the side, and gave herself a little time to breathe and relax. Gently, he took out a mirror from inside his bag and started wiping the sweat on his forehead and nose.

While examining the reflection of the face, Jane applied putty and perfected the lipsticks. Her face was shining, and Joe could not take his eyes off when he saw Jane's beauty.

"If I were his girlfriend, maybe I'd be happy every day" Joe said, sighing deeply. Although Jane glanced at him for a moment, he kept smiling to maintain ethics despite being uncomfortable with excessive attention from Joe.

Joe asked, "Jane, have you had breakfast?" Jane nodded and replied, "Already, sir."

Joe offered, "If not, let the officer make it." Jane politely declined the offer. "I've had breakfast, sir, thank you."

Jane then turns on the computer and opens her laptop, starting a work routine that calls for full attention and focus.

Although this morning felt so busy, he was determined to finish the job well.

Jane was surprised when she saw the door open and Brian suddenly ran cheerfully towards her, then he immediately greeted her warmly.

Followed by a middle-aged woman with fashionable styles and glasses that make her look very elegant, this woman is the mother of Joe.

When Joe introduces his mother, Jane immediately bowes her head in a sign of respect.

"Good morning, ma'am," said Jane politely. However, Ms. Carol only gave a cynical look that immediately made Jane's mood tense and nervous.

"Well, new secretary?" bu Carol asks Joe, and Joe confirms that Jane is his new secretary with pride.

Carol's mother nodded, but kept her unwearied gaze on Jane, making the girl feel awkward.

Meanwhile, Brian continues to play around and whine up to the perennial Jane.

He dares to ask to play a game on Jane's laptop. Joe quickly reminded her.

"Brian...!" call Joe in an angry tone, but the boy just laughed happily, feeling free to act near his uncle.

"Ma, please take Brian out, he's dizzy" Joe tells Ms. Carol, who immediately holds Brian away from Jane's desk.

"No want! I want to stay here with my beautiful Brother," whined Brian spoiledly.

However, Miss Carol takes over, trying to convince her granddaughter. "Brian, don't interrupt. Let's get out of here. Oma will buy your favorite food, how?" bargain, and Brian nodded with pursed lips.

Jane can only look on with sympathy as Brian and Bu Carol leave the room, leaving her with Joe.

The atmosphere in the office was quiet again, only the sound of a finger tap on the keyboard filled the room, until the time of rest. Jane walks off her desk, and Joe follows her.

Joe immediately invites Irsan to go out to eat, explaining that there are serious issues that must be discussed.

Jane was surprised to see the closeness of the two of them, even though she hoped to eat together with Irsan in the cafeteria as usual.

As Joe and Irsan exit the company building, Jane gets a short message from Irsan telling her that he will go with Joe to discuss serious matters.

Jane immediately felt worried and replied to the short message, warning Irsan to be wary of Joe.

At the starry luxury restaurant, Joe and Irsan order a special lunch meal. After eating, Joe starts discussing something unexpected.

"Irsan, are you close to Jane?" joe asked seriously, making Irsan who was drinking shocked to the point of choking.

"Yes, we were close, but only as friends," Irsan replied awkwardly and astonished at Joe's question that didn't fit the situation. He thought they were going to talk about work.

Joe then gave a serious warning, "You have to be careful. Jane is not a good woman. He often gets drunk, likes night time, and many other things. You must be careful!"

Irsan became confused and felt unsure of Joe's statement. He could not immediately believe his words that seemed strange and provoking.

Joe continues to create negative stories about Jane, hoping to keep Irsan away from Jane.

He talks about the bad behavior he "knows" from Jane, although in fact many of the stories are just imaginary.

Irsan, in a respectful manner, only listened to what Joe said without justifying it. He knows that Joe may have ulterior motives in saying all this.

Meanwhile, Jane who was in the cafeteria became no appetite, and her mind was only fixed on a single Irsan.

Meanwhile, Irsan begins to believe that Joe may have special feelings for Jane, and he will not just believe everything Joe says.
