My Sweet Green's

My Sweet Green's
Who is Selfish?

The couple got out of the black sedan. They saw the condition of the house they had left for almost two months. The situation looks silent, are the children only puppets they rarely at home?

"Non Meira is in college, sir, Buk." Lina lowered her head respectfully.

At five o'clock Meira came home, he saw a black sedan in the garage. Meira sighed, apparently they still remember home. Her thought.

"Meira.." call the mama.

"Eh, Pa, Ma, when did you guys get home?" ask him pleasantries.

"Last day, dear." replied Sherin and gently stroked the child's shoulder.

They sit in the family room. Enjoy an awkward night. I don't know what interests Meira's parents to go home. It is not just to visit his son. Meira understood it.

"Where is your relationship with Gunawan's son?" ask Wijaya spontaneously.

Meira hush. It took me a few minutes to answer my question.

"It's okay, right?" ask again.

"We broke up." Meira straightened her head after a few minutes of gathering the courage to tell the truth.

"Why, Son?" sahut Sherin's.

Meira just shook her head. "Meira and Boy don't have a match anymore, Ma. It's better for Meira to end our relationship."

Wijaya clenched his hand furiously. He was very upset by what Meira had done. Currently Gunawan is an important asset for the Wijaya Group company. Hearing that Meira has had a long relationship with the Gunawan Group subsidiary, Wijaya felt safe. But hearing Meira's statement a few minutes ago her anger overflowed. Growled.

"Building a relationship is not a matter of fit or not, it's a matter of course."

Meira was silent.

"You know who Gunawan is? He is the owner of the largest convection company in the city. He is our investor. And now you're wasting the opportunity to deepen the relationship with their families" Wijaya said.

"Meira doesn't want to have an abusive partner and also an cheating partner like Boy, Pa." Meira said.

"Son, people's nature can change. Just hang on." said Sherin softly.

Gentle indeed, but very heart-wrenching Meira. The mother could tell him to hang on with a guy like Boy. There is no understanding from these parents. His chest was back in tightness, wanting him to run away from this hell-like house. His parents did not ask for his condition, his college or anything else. All they have in mind is business.

"Papa hope you turn it back together Boy. Persuade Him." said Wijaya.

Meira's eyes widened to hear the father's words. Of course he wouldn't do that.

"Try, Son. Beside your ego first for the good of your papa company." Sherin persuaded.

Whose ego should be set aside? Did they talk while drunk to the point of not realizing who was more selfish here? What kind of parents are they who can force their children like this. They are the ones who are truly selfish, forcing the child for his own sake.

Meira knows she was born to parents who were married for arranged marriages on the basis of business. But he doesn't want his fate to be the same as Sherin's mother. For him the feeling is not to be played with. He will not be able to stand if he will have the same fate as his mother.

Luckily Sherin used to be betrothed to Wijaya, a cold but nice guy. Until their household survives all this time. But unlike the case with Meira, Boy is a rude man and a cheat.

"If you don't want to go back to Boy. Let papa who will intervene." said Wijaya then left the two women.

Meira leaves Sherin without a word. His heart ached, and his tears did not break. Meeting parents who are almost two months not home should he feel happiness because it releases longing for loved ones.

Meira took her phone. Trying to contact someone who knows can relieve his heart.

"Who is this?" ask someone across the phone.

"It's Meira, Nu. I'm sorry I took your phone number in my Ojek application."

"It's okay, what's up, Mei?"

"Where's lo? I want to confide." said Meira as hiccupped.

"Oh sorry, May. I haven't come home from work."

"Ah, yes, it's okay. Sorry to interrupt, yes, Nu." Meira hung up. Though he really wanted to tell Rizal about what he experienced tonight. He felt relieved if confiding with Rizal, even though Rizal's response was sober.

"Don't let Meira out today" he added.

"Yes, Mas." nods Sherin.

Meira hears that, she doesn't want to see Boy's face anymore. He was trying to find a way to get out of the house. While it was still early in the morning, he quickly prepared his lecture materials. He has also been tidy since seven in the morning.

Meira then walked out of the house secretly. After leaving the house without being discovered, he told Lina who was still shopping at the market. He asked Lina to tell him that she left early because there was a morning class that could not be left behind.

"I wouldn't want to be betrothed to that striped-nose guy." Meira grumbled.

Of course Meira doesn't go to college early in the morning like this. Classes start at nine. He went to Dwi's house first.

"Tumben you pick me up." said Dwi then entered Meira's car.

"Gue is good again."

"That's so early." added Dwi astonished.

"Abis lecture hours we play, yuk." take Meira.

"Sorry, May. I'll have extra class until five."

"That's it, yeah" said Meira who looked disappointed.

"why the hell, Mei?" tanya Dwi was suspicious. Meira's not having a problem.

"Gue gakpapa" said Meira smiling fakely.

At two o'clock in the afternoon, class is over. Meira's headed for her car. Dwi continued the additional classes. Now he doesn't know where to go. He will not come home because the father invited Boy to come to his house.

Suddenly he thought of going to the place he had visited with Rizal at that time. Rice fields Rizal's mother.

Meira starts the car and heads there. Even if only once, he could remember the way well. It didn't take long for him to reach Rizal's mother's rice field. There were two women who were busy harvesting rice.

"Bik Ningrum!" yells.

Ningrum turned his head, he was very surprised by Meira's arrival.

"Eh, son of Meira, huh?"

"Yes, Bik. This is Meira Rizal's friend." said Meira smiling.

"Awhile..." Ningrum headed for the rice field to call Risma and invite her to meet Meira.

"This is Rizal's mother, son." Ningrum introduced Risma to Meira.

"I'm Meira, Mom." Meira kisses the back of Risma's hand.

"I'm Risma." said Risma while smiling kindly.

"What do you need, son Meira here?" ask Ningrum.

"Will I research again?" he added.

"Ah, no, Bik. I'm just gonna play around. Today, I also met Miss Risma. I'm very happy." said Meira.

"Let's sit down, son. We happen to be taking a lunch break. Let's eat together." said Risma.

"Yes, Mom. Thank you, I also brought food for Miss Risma and Bik Ningrum." Meira gave me the white parcel she bought before coming here.

They ate lunch together. Meira's heart was greatly relieved to see the scenery as well as the warm welcome from the two women.

"Where's Meira?"

"Have left for college from rice earlier, sir." said Lina.

Wijaya clenched his hand furiously. His only son was very stubborn. But he'll still mess with Meira's match with Boy. That was his determination.
