Maya steps past Dinda who is still frozen in the doorway of her room. Not once did he blink his eyes towards his body that was strewn on the bed.
As much as possible he tried to get his brain to think about what happened. He was here, but why was he there too?
"Wake you up, you slacker! Don't think because it's a holiday, you can laze around!" hardik Maya wiggles Dinda's body, repeatedly until the girl opens her eyes.
"Mother..," Dinda's voice choked, her throat dry, rubbing her eyes trying to receive the incoming light.
He looked towards Maya with squeaking eyes, then towards Dinda who was still there. It seemed like his feet had already rooted through the floor of the room.
"Look God, this is why I don't like your wife!" Maya looked towards the body of the God who was in the doorway. "For ever mother will still not be able to accept that woman!" Maya stepped away, and as she passed the figure of the God she saw on the doorstep, Maya stopped. "Hurry up and get married to Gina!"
Dinda's heart ached hearing that, in her fist, took a deep breath and exhaled. Her father-in-law's words brought her back in those days, early on her feet stepping into the house that gave her grief.
"Well!" The cries of the invited guests and witnesses at the wedding pickle became a marker that Dewa and Dinda have now become husband and wife. A happy and relieved smile was seen on the face of the Gods, while Dinda could only sob. Especially when he heard the advice of his father and mother.
"Now you are a wife. Follow what your husband says, because now he is your husband. Appreciate and love your in-laws, because now they are your parents too" said the father hugging his daughter shortly after God had made a sacred promise to Dinda.
All guests have gone home. The marriage was not held in a large scale, it was at Maya's request because it saw Dinda's current condition.
Reni also agreed. They only thought about Dinda's health, not wanting to be too tired which could later have bad effects on the girl.
"You haven't changed your clothes, Din?" God asked when he found his wife was sitting on the edge of the bed of the room of God who is now their room together.
Dinda raised her head glared at the God, then lowered her head back. She was still upset with her husband. For the sake of love he took part in the charade of the Gods, lying to his parents.
The god approached, crouched down in front of the girl and raised Dinda's chin. "You're angry, are you, like me? I'm sorry, honey. I did it because I wanted to get permission and blessing so that we could get married" said Dewa softly.
Just because Dinda was pregnant, both of their parents allowed the marriage to happen.
"But what if your parents find out we're lying?" Dinda asked, there was fear in her voice.
The god got up, sat down next to Dinda, pulling the girl's body to rest on her shoulders.
"We will explain it," replied the God as if unsure. She was also confused as to how to explain to her mother.
Dinda's concerns proved. For months married, they hide the secret, hoping that Dinda will soon become pregnant, so there is no need to uncover the truth.
However, after six months of such a happy marriage, Maya asks about Dinda's unchanging body. Her stomach remained flat, there was no sign of pregnancy.
"Have been married for six months, why hasn't your stomach grown? Did you guys really check?" Ask Maya that afternoon. He had been watching his daughter-in-law lately. Act like a pregnant woman. After college he usually entered the room, for some reason this time he accompanied his in-laws to take care of his plants.
"That's... Mm-hmm..." Dinda was really confused. What he should answer. The gods are not at home either. The man started working at graduation last semester.
Maya puts down her garden scissors, turns to Dinda and sits next to the girl, without Maya noticing she is putting pressure on Dinda.
"Don't you really not get pregnant? You guys been lying to us all this time? Answer!" Jerky Maya. Maya's loud voice made Dinda who was under pressure and feeling guilty, cry sobbing. He got off his chair and the corner touched Maya's feet.
Anger has taken Maya. He stared full of anger and disgust at Dinda. At first he did not like Dinda because it was Dinda who influenced God to marry young.
Plaque!
The first slap Dinda received from her in-laws. Dinda flinched, staring at her in-laws with her reddened cheeks and pain.
"My hunch that you're a woman is not true is proven. If I had known that you had deceived us, not even a fingernail would I have approved of you becoming my daughter-in-law!" Bump Maya with burning emotions.
Without pity, Maya pushes Dinda's body with her legs until the girl is pushed and Maya can get through.
"I'm sorry, Mother. I didn't mean to lie to you," lamented Dinda, but in fact it had no effect on Maya. His hatred grew even more veined after hearing this bitter reality.
"Until any time, I will never forgive you!" Maya rushed inside the house after shouting that line.
Dinda lamented his fate. Tight chest. At the beginning of God telling his plan about this lie, Dinda had already rejected it, but God begged him to do so in order to get married. Behold, the fruit of their lies, Dinda, who is now hated by her in-laws.
The god wants to throw his body back into the mattress after it is confirmed that Maya has left, but the fragment of memory when looking at Dinda who is in the doorway makes it void to do his intention, he straightened his body and stared fixedly at Dinda who had closed the door and walked towards him, as pale as he was.
"I-this, A-what happened, Din? Why like this?" Ask the God almost without a sound. Groped his chest which was now more contained, puffed forward and then rushed to look behind the blanket, opening the shorts that he knew Dinda liked very much while sleeping.
"Son... This is not possible, right? Dindaaaaaa!" his screams looked at the wife who was also like an undead. It's just that Dinda loses more of her voice in this kind of shock.
"Yes, God.... What the hell's been going on? Why is my body on you, and I'm in yours?" Her stranglehold grabbed Dinda's hair like she used to do with her hair.
"Remove your hands, out of my hair!" Tukas Dinda pulled the hand of God from her beautiful hair.
"You can be this relaxed? Do you know what this means? No... This can't happen!" Gods are still possessed by confusion, how thinking is still unacceptable common sense.
"It's like the story in the movie I watched!" Hiss Dinda again glanced at the object behind the pants that were currently attached to the body of the God.
"You mean?"
"Swap Body," said Dinda who has now regained her senses and then both of them shouted.
Maybe the universe wants to create a different story than they do. A great fight happened the night before. Both are on the verge of their respective patience limits. Equally full of ego and feeling the most right.
Dinda left that night from home, returning to her parents' house. Two days without any communication, God finally picked her up, asking to talk to each other, for the good of their twins.
"So you're still getting married to Gina?" ask Dinda with pain. That night he picked the bar they were talking to.
"You know very well this is what Mom wants, after all it may be best for us. Did you realize these past few years, we've been fighting all the time? There is no comfort in our relationship anymore" replied the God who made Dinda clench a fist at her side. The wounds in his heart were back.
"Alright, then, please get married, but divorce me first!" said Dinda with all her disappointment, pain and self-esteem, while spending the drink in her glass.
