99. Two Little Girls

Ren's Writer's Office

Haris, Olive, Linggom and Neni return to the office. They returned to work as usual at Karen's request. Other officers try to be ordinary. However, the four employees who were in trouble were unable to hide their awkwardness.

Haris walked towards his desk while staring intensely at Anggoro. Anggoro was wrong with that look. He looked down and dared not look back at the photographer.

"Mas Ang," call Haris.

Daniel nodded then came out carrying his pillow and blanket.

Karen herself in the room while stroking her queen's stomach. He thought and thought about a lump of blood that he had once contained that was none other than his son. His mind also wanders thinking of Olive and her 6-year-old son, Meylani.

Meylani reminded her of the mother and son she had met on public transport some time ago. The mother and Olive are fighting for the same goal: the healing of their beloved baby.

Sadness rained down on his heart. He failed to be a good boss for his employees. He recalled the money he donated to the mother and child on public transport. He did good to the unknown, but why did his own close ones escape from sight?

Karen walked on a beautiful green meadow, lush and clean. The weather was clear that day. From a distance, two girls were playing there. The two children were wearing beautiful white dresses. They looked towards Karen.

It turned out that one of the 2 little girls was Meylani. Despite only seeing her face through the photo on the phone, Karen remembered it well. 2 little girls also approached Karen.

"You're Meylani Olive's son, right?"

The little girl nodded with a smile.

"This who? Your sister?" Karen asked about another little girl who looked much younger than Meylani. He was as tall as Meylani's ears.

The little girl clasped Karen's hand and said, "Mama."

The little girl nodded. "Ma, I love playing with Meylani. I took him to heaven. There are lots of good toys and good places. There is a river with clear blue color. Meylani would have liked it. Isn't that right, brother?"

Meylani nodded cheerfully.

Then the little girl released Karen's hand and changed into Meylani's hand. "Let's go to heaven, brother."

He ran pulling Meylani away from Karen and flew high up. Karen could only scream as her hand reached for Meylani's hand. He could not chase the two little girls. His feet were heavy as if stuck deep in the earth.

"Jangaaan .. don't go!"

At 12 p.m., Daniel awoke to Karen's screams.

"Aaarrrggghhh .. jangaaan .. don't go!"

Daniel ran to the room and woke his wife who closed her eyes but was wet on both cheeks. Karen was crying in her sleep. His hands were waving as if he was reaching for something.

"Ren, wake up." Daniel shook Karen's body a few times. "Ren, Ren."

Karen finally woke up after a while. Daniel hugged and calmed Karen. But his crying became even more.

"Sshhhh, just a dream." Daniel tried to calm down.

"Nightmare, terrible," said Karen, still sobbing. "I dream our son took Meylani to heaven."

That morning, Karen had no spirit. His eyes are slightly blackened. Last night after a bad dream, she had trouble getting back to sleep. Daniel never left his wife at home. However, he had asked permission too often so that day he had to return to work.

As Karen kissed his hand, Daniel felt heavy to leave the house. He didn't let go of Karen's hand.

"Where to go, I'm fine. There's Bi Sum too."

"Call me if there's anything."

"Yes. I also asked Inda to come here later. Let him get me."

Daniel calmed down a bit and went to the hospital.

Moments later, Inda arrives at Karen's house.

"Hi, Cat, good sitting in my chair?" satirical Karen.

"Heheh, sorry Boss, kepengen. Boss Black Widow, I wonder if those 4 are the bosses? Not being outside or being sanctioned what is it?"

"I don't miss Linggom with Neni. I will give them punishment. But I'll ask you first what the reason they defected was."

Karen tells all about Olive and Haris' intention to help. Inda watched carefully.

Hearing Karen's intentions, Inda was also devastated. They went to Olive's house.
