My Love at the Rainbow Campus

A handsome man with a bandage on his head looked at a photograph. He sat on the bed of a white-gray room. Clear liquid also flowed out in both corners of his eyes to wet the photo he was holding.

A photo of a beautiful girl with her long, unraveled hair. The girl who had been filling the man's heart and mind. The girl who had left left him for a long time.

Tok tok tok !!!

There was a knock on the door from outside the room.

"Can we come in?" a voice that seemed familiar from outside his room.

The man wiped the tears that had fallen from his cheek and immediately got up from his bed. He opened the door of the room which had been closed for several days.

"Hey, Bro," said two men who had just arrived while hugging the man.

They are Alan and Faizal. They had just come to the man's place.

"Where are you, Bi?" alan asked as he looked at Abi's shabby appearance, with multiple bruises on his body and bandages on his head.

"Sit Lan, Iz," said Abi had not answered Alan's question.

Alan and Faizal sat on the sofa next to the bed that Abi was sitting on.

Both of their eyes continued to look at Abi who had been silent and had not answered Alan's question.

"As you see, I'm fine" Abi said, bowing his head, hiding the look on his face. However, from his voice can sound a lot of bitterness that is difficult to pin down.

Alan and Faizal looked at each other. This time the words that could normally easily come out of their mouths, now seemed to feel extremely heavy.

Various word choices raged in their minds, yet hesitated for them to take them out.

A moment of silence swept through the room..

"Abi, you have to be patient in dealing with all this. God loves him more." Alan broke the silence.

"Yes, I know, but it feels really heavy to me. Why didn't God take my life? Why would I lose her this way?" abi said softly, but full of emotion and emphasis in his last words.

"Abi, maybe God has other plans for you. Maybe he's not your soul mate" Alan said, trying to calm Abi down.

"But I was the one who caused his death" Abi lirih said.

"I should have avoided the truck" Abi said, filled with emotion.

" Already, Bi. It's already! It's just that you blame yourself. Nena will not be back. Now you should think about your parents. They really feel sad to see you go like this, Bi," Alan said.

Abi just took a long breath. He realized that what Alan said had a point. He could not continue to dissolve in his sadness. Nena, her lover has gone. He is gone forever and will never come back.

"Think about what I say! Rise up! As Abi we know. Abi is great, strong, and not easily overthrown by anything" Alan said.

"Surely said Alan, Bi. I'm also sure you can," said Faizal who had been silent earlier.

Alan and Faizal pat Abi on the shoulder. They were about to get out of that room.

"We'll go home first, Bi!" sahut Alan, but before he and Faizal actually came out of Abi's room.

Suddenly ..

"Alan," Abi's low-sounding voice, yet still audible, brought Alan and Faizal's footsteps to a halt. He turned his head and turned towards Abi.

"What's wrong?" ask Alan

" Can you accompany me to Nena's grave, and." asked Abi hanging.

"And what?" alan asked, frowning his forehead

"Taking me with Nena's parents. Aren't you close enough to them" said Abi continued his words that were cut off earlier.

Deg, Abi's request was quite surprising to Alan. Because, he knows quite well what the character of Nena's parents, especially her mother Nena.

Incidentally, besides Alan had been in school with Nena during high school, his mother Nena was also a close friend of his mother Alan. From his mother, Alan also knew that his mother Nena still could not accept the death of his only daughter. I don't know what he'll react to meeting Abi later. Alan could not guess.

"All right," said Alan to agree to the request of his friend Abi.

" I haven't seen Nena's grave yet and met her parents. Because when Nena was buried, my condition was critical. I was unconscious for two days in the hospital." Obviously Abi.

Actually without Abi needing to explain even Alan already knows everything. Because when he heard Abi and Nena had an accident, Alan immediately headed to the hospital to see the condition of both.

After returning home from college, Alan immediately rushed to the bathroom to clean his sticky body due to sweat. After taking a shower, he put his body on the bed. Just a moment to lay down, the phone he kept on the table near the television was ringing.

The tone of the incoming call led Alan to approach the phone. He saw the name on his phone screen. A smile adorned the handsome face of Alan.

"Assynolajet.. Hello, Mama is beautiful, miss ya... same son of this handsome Mama?" alan asked the caller. However, Alan's mother did not respond to Alan's question.

Silence momentarily struck the conversation of the mother and child, until a crying sound was heard from behind the phone. Hearing that, anxiety struck Alan, I don't know what happened to the mother.

"Waalaikumsalam," at last the voice was heard, a voice so heavy that it held back the cries.

"Well, what's up?" ask Alan worriedly.

"Alan, Mama just got word that her son Aunt Rossi had an accident" said Mama Alan.

"Auntie Rossi's son? Mean Mama?" alan asked confused because what he remembered Aunt Rossi his mother's friend was Nena.

"Nena, Aunt Rossi's son. He and your friend, Abi, had an accident and now they're in XXX hospital. The plan is that Mama will now be there to accompany Aunt Rossi." said Mama

" God. All right, Alan's going there, too, Ma" Alan said

"Yes, Mama hang up, baby. Assalamualaikum," said Mama Alan

"Waalaikumsalam" said Alan hung up. After that, he rushed to the hospital.

Arriving at the hospital

The sound of two women crying was heard in front of a hospital room door. The two women were very recognizable women Alan, one was the Mama, and the other, Nena's mother.

Mother Nena seemed to be hugging tightly the mother. His face was filled with tears that could make anyone who saw, his heart slashed. And so did Alan.

"Well," call Alan to the mother

Hearing Alan's voice, the two women immediately turned their heads and released the embrace that occurred between the two.

Mama Alan's face looked as tangled as Aunt Rossi's. Many times he tried to wipe away the tears that ran down his cheeks, but it seemed like they were all in vain. Tears can not be lost from the sweet face of the mother.

"He's gone Alan. She's gone" Mama Alan said as she continued to hold back her tears.

Deg

Hearing the word 'go' Alan's body felt weak.

"What does Mama mean? Who's going?" alan asked trying to make sure that what he was thinking was wrong.

"Milk, Alan. Nena's gone away from us forever" said Mama Alan. His tears flowed hard, he could no longer hold back those tears. He hugged his friend who had the same circumstances seemed even more miserable. They strengthen each other.

Alan, he was just fixated, his feelings mixed, it was hard to believe the harsh reality he had just heard. Just this afternoon he met with Nena and Abi at the college. They both looked fine, there was no bad feeling at all. But now what does he see? One, his body was stiff, cold, deathly pale, his heart was no longer beating, while the other, in an unconscious state. Some doctors are trying their best to regain consciousness.

After hearing the sad news about Nena, Alan and his mother accompanied Nena's family to deliver Nena's body to her final resting place.

That afternoon, the weather seemed unfriendly. Black clouds began to cover the blue sky preparing for the arrival of rain. That's why Nena's funeral was more expedited than it should have been.

Aunt Rossi was unceasingly crying over Nena's departure. Although, the husband repeatedly advised him not to dissolve in sadness.

"Have Mother, already, let Nena calm there," said Nena's father, Om Grace.

"But Father, Mother is still very difficult to be able to accept all this. Why did Nena have to leave Mother like this?" sahut Aunty Rossi who is endlessly crying.

"Mother! Mother, must sincerely accept the departure of Nena. Let him calm down in nature" said Nena's father to appease his wife.

"But Nena is our only child, Dad, hiks..hiks." said Aunt Rossi.

"True Auntie, Nena would definitely be sad to see her Mother like this. Aunty knows, Nena can't stand to see her mother cry. This is God's will, Auntie. Aunty crying like anything would never be possible to bring Nena back. He's gone, Auntie, and he can't come back, " said Alan.

Alan's words made Aunt Rossi speechless, at this time between reason and his heart could not synergize well. On the one hand, her reasoning justifies what Alan and her husband said. However, on the other hand his heart screamed unable to accept all of this. The departure of the princess was only a puppet so suddenly, without a word, without a hug.
