Ch. 25 >> Don't want to be king

Returning to life, after a tragic incident that broke his heart, is not an easy thing for Bima. It took me almost four years to smile again. Bima could not possibly erase the shadow of Tresi in his mind.

The man was collecting some medicinal herbs as a wound healer. Perhaps, there was a wild wolf that was hit by a human trap and stopped by his place. He began to live life as before.

He also stores the leaves and roots of plants that will be used as herbs in a storage box. The sound of knocking on the door, made him distract.

The frown on his forehead indicates that he does not know the person who is visiting his house.

"I was one of the elders who helped heal the deep wounds, Prince, about three years ago," he said when he saw Bima's expression.

The old man entered the cottage. "It seems, Prince, loves the science of medicine."

"Yes, I only help the poor animals, who are exposed to human traps" he replied.

Bima refocused herself on her work. The elder kept smiling. Until Bima finished his work, the elder did not say much.

"May I know what the elder's arrival means?" ask after serving water to guests.

"When, Prince, he got injured a few years ago, didn't you ask how to become a human being?"

Surprised, definitely. He asked that question years ago. Could that answer already exist? Enthusiastically, Bima nodded her head.

"Actually, there is someone who knows this much better. However, the problem was, it wasn't easy to search for the person's whereabouts."

"Who is he, Elder?" tanyakanya.

"Darwinian. He was the former Werewolf king before your father ascended the throne. Right now, he was already a complete human being. How, only he knows that."

"Have he been cast out, after becoming a man?" Bima's curiosity is getting soaring.

"No. He knew, the human and werewolf realms were different. Therefore, he chose to leave and abdicate the throne. He also fell in love with a human being" replied the elder.

"I understand. Let me find his whereabouts," said Bima. His spirit seemed to light up.

"I heard that he is now a physician among men. Maybe the kiss is still sharp, but not with the offspring. Because Darwin's blood is pure human blood."

"Thank you for the elder's guidance. I'll look for him."

"May you succeed. Ah, one more."

The man paused his words. Bima was waiting for the continuation of the words of the old man in front of him.

"Your age, won't be as long as the Werewolf people. Even the pearls in your body will no longer work. After all, your human blood is now much more."

"If the Werewolf, has 50% human blood and 50% wolf blood, then not with you. Ever since your pearl returned, your human blood has reached 80%." He adds.

"That means, the chance for me to be human, is much greater. Aren't we?"

The elder smiled as he nodded his head. "Your blood can return to its original position, if you marry a Werewolf. Either to the common people, or when you meet Luna who is your destiny. But ... Looks like you shut the heart of your own people."

Hearing the elder's explanation, Bima thought again. Is that really what the elder said? In fact, all that is true Bima does not want to have a special relationship with women from his nation. The man, had already closed the door of his heart from another woman.

"Then my task is done. I have to come back soon" he said.

"Yes. Thank you for every piece of information the elders gave me. I really appreciate the kindness of the elders," said Bima sincerely.

The elder smiled and patted Bima softly on the shoulder. Then, it darted quickly leaving Bima.

Ursula searches for Bima's whereabouts to the cottage. When he found the man, he was surprised to see Bima was cleaning his things.

"Where are you going?" tanyakanya.

Bima looked over, when the voice sounded. "Back mingling with humans," Bima replied quickly.

"Then, what about the palace?"

"I don't care about the palace. There, there are reliable Bara and Bagas." Bima kept putting in items he might need. Including, some of his gold bars.

"You don't know, if you'll soon be crowned king?"

The movement of Bima stopped, as Ursula said that. He looked quickly and looked hard at the woman.

"Don't just talk!" sentak Bima's.

"What am I talking about. Come to the palace and see all the preparations. Bara told me all that. He asked me to look for you."

The look on Bima's face turned soft. Ursula sighed heavily upon seeing the change. He also approached Bima.

"Do you like humans better than your own people?" ask Ursula.

No answer came out of Bima's lips. The man was immersed in his own thinking. Suddenly, Bima stood up and left the cottage. Ursula followed him immediately.

"What the fuck?" bima asked in a high voice, upon arriving at the palace.

"Welcome, Prince Bima," greeted all the royal officials gathered there.

Bima ignored their greeting. His eyes drew sharply, towards King Alfonso.

"I, refuse to be the next King!" exclaim Bima lantang.

"What's your excuse?" ask King Alfonso.

"Because I'm not interested in being king!"

"You can't refuse. These are all requests from the people and government officials. This two-year war, is a decider between you and Bara. Seeing that you can defeat more opponents, the higher-ups and the people decided, to elect you to be king in my place."

"I still can't take it. Because of my blood, it has almost reached pure human blood."
