Chapter 45

Elijah lay sideways, took his place on the edge of the bed and hid behind a thick blanket. She hid her tears, the cry of a child who had just learned that both of her biological parents were dead.

Tonight was supposed to be the first night for the couple. The first night that is usually passed with joy and excitement, does not apply to the newlyweds. Elijah is busy lamenting his fate which turns out to be very sad, even though behind it all he is very grateful for having adoptive parents as good as Davina and Dave.

Elijah might just need some time to make peace. His cry was merely to unravel the sadness that still tightly enveloped his heart. The fact that she is not Davina and Dave's biological child is quite a mess with her mood and feelings. Not to mention now that she had to marry Aditya, the man who had been her older sister. Elijah may be in the toughest phase of his life.

Aditya came out of the bathroom after more than 20 minutes in there. He deliberately lingered in the bathroom because he was contacting his alley men assigned to look for the whereabouts of Milea.

One of them managed to track down Milea's whereabouts last time after being declared missing 3 hours ago.

Armed with cctv footage in the lobby of one of the luxury apartment buildings, Aditya sent people to monitor the apartment building. Though the last information that Aditya got, Milea was thought to have left the apartment building. They suspect someone suspected of being Milea, who wears a covered garment and a hat as she exits the apartment building with a man.

Aditya has speculated a lot about the disappearance of Milea and an unidentified man.

Seeing Milea go alone to the apartment building and out with a man, Aditya can conclude that Milea had deliberately gone on her own consciousness on their wedding day. Because until this moment Aditya did not find any signs of Milea being kidnapped as originally thought.

Now that he knows everything, Aditya still searches for Milea. The man didn't seem to be letting go of Milea just like that after toying with her and running away on their wedding day. The show got so messed up that he had to marry Elijah.

Aditya looked towards the bed when he saw the thick blanket roll on the side of the bed. His forehead was furrowed staring at that long bundle that definitely contained Elijah in it.

Aditya approached Elijah, stood at the side of the bed and slowly pulled the blanket over his head. The blanket could easily be removed from Elijah's head, Aditya was a little surprised to see Elijah's face filled with tears. Elijah's nose looked red, his eyes were puffy and kept on shedding tears.

Elijah immediately turned his face away, trying to hide his cries even though Aditya had seen them.

"Why.?" Aditya shifted Elijah's body slowly to the middle and he sat down on the side of the bed.

"I'm still surprised" Elijah answered in a choked voice.

"Mama and Papa think you're like your own son. Don't feel like you're not their son." Aditya said while holding Elijah's hand while covering his face again with a blanket.

Elijah nodded in understanding. Davina also had a chance to talk like that before the wedding began. "I could feel that way until I never thought they weren't my real parents." Legally.

Yes, seeing how Davina and Dave's treatment of Elijah who never compared his affection and attention with Aditya, certainly made Elijah feel like their real child.

Aditya gently rubbed the head of Elijah with a sad feeling. He actually regretted Davina's decision, although sooner or later Elijah had to know about her biological parents.

Aditya stared at the watch in his hand. It was almost 12 p.m., and Elijah kept crying. "It's night, you better take a break." He said as he moved from the side of the bed.

Elijah held Aditya's hand. Elijah's eyes stared at Aditya with tears still welling up. "So, just stay here, keep me asleep." Petanya.

Elijah's sad gaze made Aditya unable to refuse his request, he then went up to the bed and lay beside Elijah.

Elijah shifted, removing the distance that had been made by Aditya. Elijah's hand pulled Aditya's arm into the deck.

"Sister Adit remains my big brother, right.? I need Brother to lean on." He then buried his face in the chest of Aditya field. The man could not dwell, he could not bear to tell Elijah to shift away.

"Let's talk to Mama and Papa, I don't want to be Sister's wife. I want to be Adit's sister." Racau Elijah with his eyes closed. The fact that she is not Davina and Dave's biological child alone is enough to make her destroyed, she is even more devastated when she has to change status to be Aditya's wife. Elijah, after all, felt that he would not be able to love Aditya as someone else.

"Hmm, sleep is night." Aditya did not intend to respond to Elijah's words because the woman looked chaotic and needed rest so that tomorrow morning her mood was better.

The two slept together all night hugging each other. Nothing happened even though that night was the first night for the impromptu bride and groom.

After all what to expect from their first night, considering since childhood they were very close as brothers. It would be awkward if you had to miss the first night like most brides in general.
