Ask Grandma's blessing

"Richie...! Grandma would never agree You cancelled your marriage to Hye Jin. How could you cancel it? Give Grandma a reason why you canceled this wedding!" Grandma is strongly opposed to Richie's marriage annulment. His gaze was so sharp that he looked at his grandson.

"Grandmother, Richie will still be canceling this marriage. Richie doesn't love Hye Jin. Richie has a girl Richie loves himself, Nek. And Richie is going to marry her" Richie said.

Grandma was shocked to hear the words from her granddaughter. "Grandmother will never approve it...!" Grandma immediately left the middle room towards her room. While his extended family stared pushyly at Richie.

"You're so happy, Richie!" Hye Jin also left the middle room. Her tears were unstoppable.

Hye Jin was so sick to hear the cancellation of her marriage from Richie's mouth straight away. He loved Richie so much, even since he was a kid.

"And you're going to marry Dea? I've known everything from your Uncle. How can you do that to Dea, Richie? Now things are gonna get very complicated." Auntie Rebecca looks so riled up.

"I'll talk to Grandma, Auntie. I'll convince Grandma to let me marry the girl I love" Richie said with confidence.

Auntie Rebecca just sighed, then she nodded her head.

Richie started to step into Grandma's room. However he still has to get the blessing of the Grandmother, Richie must be able to convince him.

Richie opened his grandmother's door knob. She knew her grandmother would be disappointed in her. He saw the Grandma who was currently sitting in a chair facing the window. Richie slowly walked up to him.

"Why did you do this to your Grandma, Richie? Do you want your Grandma gone soon?" The Grandma already knew that Richie was entering her room.

"Mr... "

"What else do you want to say? Now our family and Hye Jin's family have learned that you want to annul this marriage. They will be very disappointed in Grandma. Because it was Grandma who first wanted Hye Jin to marry you."

Richie touched Grandma's hand. He held it so warm. She loves her grandmother very much, but she also doesn't want to hurt Hye Jin if she has to marry him. His heart was cut off for another girl.

Grandma was silent for a moment. "Alright, Grandma will bless you for being responsible to the girl. But to receive her in this house, Grandma can't yet. So you just asked Auntie and your Uncle to propose to the girl. Because Grandma still hasn't fully accepted it into our family" said Grandma, then she let go of Richie's arms and hands. Grandma stood behind her grandson.

"I've agreed to it, now go!" Grandma said without looking at Richie's face.

Richie looked at Grandma so softly. Honestly, he wanted Grandma to propose to Dea for him. But his grandmother's heart had not completely melted. Richie can only accept it, at least Grandma has given her blessing. And maybe her grandmother's heart will melt as time goes by.

After getting the blessing of the Grandmother, Richie decided to return to Singapore. He will propose to Dea by inviting Uncle Gemal and Auntie Rebecca, as well as other families.

Richie accidentally doesn't tell Hye Jin when he returns to Singapore. He knew the girl's feelings were so painful because of him. Richie didn't want to add to Hye jin's heartache.

On the other hand, Hye Jin still held back his heart wound when he heard the statement from Richie. But he also wants to hear Richie's reasons in detail again.

She wiped her tears and steadied her heart to meet Richie.

Slowly, Hye Jin opened the door of his room. His feet stepped towards Grandma's room. Hye Jin thought Richie was in Grandma's room.

"grandmother... " Hye Jin approached Grandma who was pensive on the sofa of her room. Grandma leaned her head and closed her eyes on the back of the sofa. He opened his eyes and looked at Hye Jin who entered his room. Guilt again attacked Grandma's heart when she saw Hye Jin who looked swollen.

"Come here, son," asked Grandma. He patted the sofa beside him. Hye Jin smiled and obeyed grandma to sit next to her.

"I'm sorry Grandma, Hye Jin. Grandma couldn't help but be by your side" said the sad grandmother.

Hye Jin hugged Grandma. He couldn't bear to see Grandma look that sad.

"Grandmother is not wrong. Hye Jin should have thought about Richie's feelings. Richie's heart isn't for Hye Jin, Grandma. Even if we get married, we won't be happy, Grandma. Grandma don't be sad anymore, Hye Jin is fine. Hye Jin appreciates Richie's decision, Nek," Hye jin said.

Grandma hugged Hye Jin. "I'm sorry Grandma, son."
