Call King Lewis

Chloe saluted and turned her body to leave, but her arm was held by King Lewis.

“Wait.. Don't go, Miss Eliza. I was so outrageous and I realized I offended you. I absolutely do not forbid if you want to hold a wedding ceremony in my Kingdom. I'm even flattered.”

She takes Chloe's hand off but stands before her with a compassionate smile begging for mercy.

“How about I invite you to take a look at the beautiful scenery of this small Palace? You must be amazed.”

“Thank you, Your Grace. But I'd better go upstairs to accompany my sleeping son.”

“Oh, no need to worry. Since Dwayne's arrival, he's been guarded by Fiona if me or Jerrick can't keep an eye on him. He'll be up in half an hour. I've been spending hours sleeping and waking up that kid.”

Chloe's stunned. She as her mother did not even know about such a small detail. Chloe has a lot to learn to catch up with her as a good mother. He nodded in approval to King Lewis's invitation.

They walked and talked about how she could accept Dwayne into the palace and become familiar with the boy.

“Don't know why, I immediately fell in love with Dwayne. Everyone who worked here also felt that effect. No one could hurt him. Even my violent brother, chose to send him here. I don't know what Nelson was thinking so lie like that.”

“Thank you for taking care of Dwayne for a few days.”

“No need to hesitate. I'll feel lonely when Dwayne leaves. I hope you guys don't leave so soon. After your wedding ceremony, stay here longer. There are some nice areas where you guys honeymoon.”

They walked along the edge of the sea, looking at the green valley that stretched. The Kingdom of Navarre is indeed endowed by its natural beauty and is often used as a place of recreation and honeymoon for tourists.

Then Chloe chuckled at the honeymoon room in Hilde's inn in Port St. Milway.

“Why are you laughing?” ask Lewis astonished.

“Ah, no. I just hope you guys also provide classy lodging.”

Lewis's face flushed, “Oh yes of course I can recommend which inn is good.”

After that they both just stay still while enjoying the view with cool air. Chloe did not want to return to Azov Kingdom so quickly. He did not know when he could enjoy such a relaxing time. Especially complete with the presence of Dwayne and Dimitri. The two people who had suddenly entered into his life and so quickly had already taken his heart.

“Nona Eliza, sorry if I was so presumptuous to ask... What made you fall in love with your future husband?”

Chloe stopped, her eyes staring deep into the valley. King Lewis patiently waited for his answer.

“I don't know. Maybe love doesn't need a reason.”

Chloe had already racked her brain to answer Lewis's question. But he couldn't find the answer. Perhaps what made her fall in love was the way Dimitri looked at her, or because she defeated him during a duel that made Chloe interested in a strong and reliable man.

“Enough with Dimitri standing next to me alone, he can make my heart beat fast. Can it be called love?” chloe asked unconsciously.

For more than two years, his heart stopped beating. But that sense may have been left behind when he was still a human and felt it back when he met Dimitri.

There was a jealous fire in Lewis's eyes that Chloe had not seen. “So you mean that your heart is not beating fast right now when I am next to you?”

Chloe laughed at the look on her pouting face. “Of course not, Your Majesty. I just met you and know nothing but your name.”

Chloe tilted her head to the side. “Of course, Your Highness.”

“Tuh you called me Your Majesty again.” She took a deep breath and said, “My mother is the second wife of King Navarre, making Nelson my half-brother because she was born to our father's first wife. Since childhood, I was trained and taught to be the successor of the Kingdom because at that time King Navarre could not decide who would be his successor.”

“Nelson is too ambitious, while I am too relaxed. When the King died, I was not next to him. Nelson was the last person before he closed his eyes. He told everyone that King Navarre's wish was to make him the new king. No one can oppose.”

Lewis bowed his head to Chloe. “Sorry that I have caused a ruckus in the kingdom of Azov and made you unable to live a quiet life.”

“You don't need to apologize to me, Your Majesty. I can still live comfortably, but I saw as I came down from the harbor, that this war had an impact on the little people of your kingdom. I hope you can pay more attention to them.”

Lewis lifted his head and smiled warmly, “Thank you for your input, Miss Eliza. I am still learning to be a good and just king for my people. I believe that my kingdom will rise again from this crash.”

Chloe returned King Lewis's smile. “In the hands of a good king like you, Navarre can definitely bounce back.”

Then they brainstormed what the next steps Lewis could take to advance his kingdom's economy. After a while they talked, Chloe finally decided to go back to the room.

“Miss Eliza, it is unexpected that a girl like you can know a lot about economics and politics. It's nice to meet you, and hopefully we can be close friends.”

“You flattered me too much, Your Majesty.” Chloe saluted before leaving.

“I'm waiting for your presence at the dinner banquet later, Miss Eliza.”

Chloe simply replied to him with one small smile and passed away. He could not promise because he preferred to accompany Dwayne. Young children are not allowed to join adult dinners.

After re-entering the palace, she opened the door of the room and saw Dwayne already in Dimitri's arms. He patted her on the back while staring out the window, looking at the clear waters of the Navarre Sea.

“Fiona is gone?”

Dimitri turned his body around. “Fiona?”

“Yes, the young waiter who was in charge here is guarding Dwayne.” Chloe closed the room door.

“Oh, that waitress is Fiona? He I told you to leave earlier.”

“Sorry, Dwayne has woken up from earlier huh? Here mama gendong.”

Dwayne is passed into the hands of Chloe, a child who is still not fully aware because she just woke up, immediately buried her face in Chloe's shoulder.

“Where have you been? I thought I'd come back here to see you with Dwayne.”

“That's because King Lewis called me down.”
