"Already Za, do not cry continuously," said Lolita, Eiza's cousin. He could not bear to see Eiza who kept shedding tears beside Keylin's coffin. While the God who was in Eiza's lap continued to move restlessly. It seems that the little boy did not really understand what happened to his parents.
"Tante, why do Mama and Papa keep booming?" ask him to Eiza.
Eiza wiped away her tears with her palm then gently rubbed the head of the God.
"Mama and Papa have rested quietly, God. They can't get up anymore."
"When can God play with Mama and Papa?" his question rounded his eyes.
"Now the Gods play the same Aunt Eiza. God will meet Mama and Papa someday in Heaven."
The god pursed his lips. It seemed like the boy was dissatisfied with the answer Eiza gave. He also sagged down while sulking.
"Tante, I want to eat some biscuits" he said, shaking Eiza's arm.
"Za, let me take care of the gods. You just focus on taking care of the funeral," said Lolita holding the hand of God.
"Thanks, Loli, but I'm still waiting for Denis' family to come."
"Maybe they're on their way. I'm the God first."
After Lolita and the Gods died, Eiza sat pensively staring at Keylin's chest. Sometimes he saw a watch curled in his left hand. It's been almost two hours Eiza's waiting, but Denis' nuclear family has not been seen. He did not know his sister-in-law's family. Denis has a grandfather and an older brother who works as a doctor. He met them once during the wedding ceremony of Keylin and Denis seven years ago.
"Did I call his grandfather Denis?" thought Eiza grabbed her phone from her pocket. Not yet had he pressed the old man's phone number, there was a sound of footsteps approaching him. Eiza raised her head and met an old man.
"You're Eiza's sister, Keylin?"
"You're Opa Yogi?" tanya Eiza moved from her position.
"Yes. Sorry Opa is late here. It's because Opa is waiting for Arion, the bengal boy. He hasn't come yet. He said the plane was suddenly delayed."
"Then what, Opa?"
"We're doing his funeral now without Arion."
Opa Yogi rushed over with a stick in his hand. Eiza and the other relatives followed from behind. A motorcade was seen along the highway leading to the Bukit Daun cemetery area.
Eiza stood up while holding the God. He listened to the Pastor who was praying to deliver the bodies of Keylin and Denis to his final resting place.
"Today we mourn the loss of our dearly loved ones, Keylin Prayoga and Denis Handana."
"Wait, Priest!" shouted a man who broke the silence. Spontaneously the whole mourner looked at the source of the voice, as well as Eiza.
"I'm sorry, I'm all late" Arion said with a breath of air. He had just run down from the taxi with a girl to the cemetery.
"Arion, you're just making a scene. Opa thought you wouldn't come" said Opa Yogi.
"Oh, I can't possibly miss the last tribute to my sister."
"Then do your duty quickly as Denis' sister. Nania will be with Opa" said Opa Yogi.
Arion nodded and approached the priest. While Opa Yogi stroked the hair of the little girl who seemed to be Arion's biological child.
"Please continue the ceremony, Pastor."
The funeral procession went on solemnly. Despite the intense grief, Arion intervened to insert Denis and Keylin's coffins into the burial chamber. They are deliberately buried side by side as a sign that true love will always be together until death.
In the meantime, Eiza's tears came back to her cheeks. He sprinkled the flower over Keylin's navel with a broken feeling. Now he is truly a kara in the world, without his parents and brother. The only thing Eiza has is a God, her brother's precious relic. Inwardly, Eiza promised to raise the God and love him like Keylin's last message.
