<[ EPS. 12 - AFTER ATTACK ]>

Aldrich Ellair ran in a hurry up the stairs. The attack of one enemy battalion he managed to extinguish after a platoon of Dark Shadow special forces came to help. He handed over his command to Zac when he saw the special forces arrive because he did not want to delay the time to save his wife and child.

The enemy did not realize that even though they had cut off all telecommunications in the house, Aldrich still kept the organization's special communication equipment so that he could still get his troops to come to help.

Almost all the rooms in the house were chaotic. The state of the luxury house is really sad. Nearly tens of billions of losses Aldrich received from the attack. Some of the surviving enemies have been taken to a dungeon to be interrogated by Zac.

The wounded servants and bodyguards have been given special treatment at the basecamp. They were shoulder to shoulder with their brothers who had not been evacuated. Several doctors of Eclair's family trust have been brought in from several areas in their private helicopters.

When in the corridor of the second floor V thought the sound of the clattering of steps approaching him was the enemy, he was ready to pull the trigger. If not for Aldrich Eclair successfully kicking the gun held by V, perhaps a hot bullet had stuck in his body.

"Fuck!" v shouted so cheerfully to see a figure of Aldrich Eclair behind the bend of the corridor. V jumped into his Papa's arms because he was so happy to see his Papa again.

Aldrich Eclair examined V's body carefully, V's entire body drenched in blood from the tip of his hair to his shoes, V looks like he just finished bathed in blood. Aldrich examined V's body fearing that a bullet had been stuck in his body because he could not distinguish between the enemy's blood and his.

Aldrich could not believe that even though V had explained many times, he still continued to examine V's body. A sense of airiness filled his chest when he saw not a single wound on V's body or on the body of his Wife and youngest child. Ia holds V's body in anticipation if suddenly V will collapse because it runs out of energy.

V did not refuse when Aldrich lifted his body, he instead felt relieved because he could rest a little. He also leaned back his tired body, leaving his eyes closed for a moment.

When he reached the first floor Sophie and Rozita were immediately helped by another servant to get the first handling. They also intend to bring V who looks so sad because of the blood bath but rejected by Aldrich because he wants to bring his own daughter.

The Basement situation is like an evacuation post for victims of natural disasters, there has been neatly arranged a wheeled bed with an infusion pole on its side along the basement corridor. A burly man wearing a cane walked towards V, Zac was not good enough to have a bandage wrapped around his head.

Zac was so panicked when he saw the condition V who had not received treatment from a doctor. Zac's worries upset Aldrich so he told the man to move ten steps away without explaining anything.

Zac grumbled in annoyance. If he did not remember his bandaged head he might have shouted an oath to swear Aldrich's behavior was so annoying for him.

Outraged by Zac, Aldrich takes V to a basecamp that is not as crowded outside. Fernandez was seen lying unconscious with an oxygen hose on his nose. A heart-rate monitor stood next to his bed, indicating the injury was severe. In addition to Fernandez there are still some servants and bodyguards who get intensive care such as Fernandez.

A man wearing a black suit and sunglasses gave alms to Aldrich Ellair. "Master, there's important news I want to tell you."

"Alright." replies Aldrich Ellair walking ahead of him, he understood what news he wanted to convey.

Aldrich called a seemingly unoccupied butler to help V clean up, V asked little he only let the waiter take him.

Aldrich and the man walked into the basement under the basement. Inside a cell, five prisoners were standing. Their bodies were all covered in blood. Their faces were filled with bruises and wounds. After interrogation, one of them finally said the person who became the mastermind behind the storming of the main house of the Eclair family.

Two Dark Shadow special forces men came with change of clothes and clean water. Aldrich really does not like when his appearance is messy especially if his clothes are dirty, this has been known by all members of Dark Shadow so they have prepared it without being told.

Aldrich cleansed his face, changing his dirty clothes to new ones while occasionally watching his captives.

The men who had followed him explained in detail what their captives had said and what they would do if their original plan failed. They apparently had planned this attack carefully.

"Master, they're members of an Eight-Star organization. Country-based criminal organizations F, those that give protection to Zero Corp., one of your competitors." explains Tom, the man who has been standing next to him. He was one of Aldrich Eclair's informants and proteges. Tom chose to dive into the world of information and technology, becoming a high-class hacker to help organizations find information.

"Send my warm greetings to the Eight Stars, make them submit to the Dark Shadow." Aldrich Ellair orders Tom.

"Dark shadow.." muttered one of the prisoners as if thinking. "Ah Master, Master ... You are the head of Dark Shadow, please forgive me and my brothers." he asked to make Aldrich Ellair frown. Without a second thought he pulled a gun on his left belt, shooting it in their head.

Some of Aldrich's clothes were covered in blood because of the shooting. She was upset that her clothes were dirty. When he wanted to return to his family, Aldrich saw V's body behind the cell's dividing wall, "Aren't there people outside?" tanyakanya.

"There is no Master. I had told them to help the other brothers because I thought that after meeting the prisoners, Master would kill him immediately." Tom explained.

Some time he realized something was not according to plan, "Master, my law for my negligence in duty." beg him while bending his body. He panicked that Aldrich Ellair would be disappointed in him, so willingly he asked to be punished. He was always afraid to make his master disappointed or angry until he no longer trusted him.

"I don't know since when V was standing there watching us."

"Master, just punish this stupid me." pinta Tom who has now prostrated at the feet of Aldrich Ellair.

Aldrich Eclair found V sitting on one of the benches in the nimfeum. Sitting unsettled seemed anxious, I don't know what the boy was thinking.

"What are you thinking?" aldrich Eclair asked who was standing before V.

Seeing Aldrich suddenly standing before him made him so surprised that he immediately stood up from his seat. His face was now filled with fear.

"Papah, you're here" he said nervously so his sentence sounded like a statement. Aldrich did not answer his sentence, just silently staring expressionlessly made V feel even more frightened.

He doesn't care about his punishment, which he cares about what he has to do now, "Pa-papah sorry..." crying had already taken control he was so afraid that later Aldrich would no longer trust him, worse to throw him out of the house.

Aldrich Eclair now settles down to be equal in height to V, "Don't do anything like that again. You don't have to sneak around to know my business you can ask me directly."

"Well, how dare I do it. Papah, trust me." V raised Aldrich Eclair's hand as high as his chest, "Mamah asked me to see Papah, Mamah said Uncle Chad has been waiting in the front yard. Mamah is already in the car waiting for us." explained V with sobs.

"All right." Aldrich Eclair had stood up lifting V's body. "So what have you heard?" he asked as he walked out of the nimfeum room.

"The attacks were carried out by a group of Eight-Star organizations, they were pawns of Zero Corporation, one of Papah's business competitors. Then Papah ordered that Dark Shadow punish them." V explained what he had heard while in the basement.

"Need to err a little. Papah did not give them punishment, only gave them warm greetings." Aldrich Eclair said.

"Is it different?" ask V quickly because they do not understand the actual implied meaning.

"certainly different. Later you will know the difference." reply Aldrich Eclair.

"Isn't he? Can I go get justice?" ask V half hoping because Aldrich Eclair gave him the green light.

Aldrich Eclair stopped his steps staring at V's goal. The gaze was filled with probing, he was curious about how much V had known about him but he was so sure V could not possibly know his identity in the underground world. He wondered to himself what V wanted. One possibility that seeped in his heart, revenge.
