More Than Marriage

More Than Marriage
Not Changing Anything

The pace of the move echoes in companies that have just fired their employees for no apparent reason. All the higher-ups, employees, and subordinates had already stood up. Gathering neatly formed a formation to welcome the arrival of the new President who is said to have cooler properties than Mount Everest.

In another corner Allen was still packing his things. The responsibility is soon done. He doesn't need to give respect, ‘kan? He was fired in a disrespectful manner. Fired for no apparent reason, is that respect?

Slowly the pace changed with the whispers of employees. Samar but surely Allen could hear awe from them. His looks, height, white, and many more compliments that made the curiosity in Allen's heart enslaved. Allen packed the last item, piled it in cardboard and brought it closer to the ruthless Boss. Yeah, a nickname for his arbitrary Boss. He gave it to me this morning.

The deg!

Her eyes were perfectly rounded with her mouth slightly open. His heart beat irregularly while looking at the figure in front of him. Instantly Allen's body squeezed. Allen leaned over to place the cardboard that almost fell. Trying to get up while holding the end of the table nearby, grabbing anything to support his body so as not to squash.

All of the plans that Allen put together to demand his Boss be destroyed already, evaporated along with the pain in his heart. Even though he has compiled many telling sentences to ask for justice. However, it seems that those sentences will be buried forever. He could only hit his chest that felt so tight.

Is that what you hate about me, Agra? Until your heart sacked me, when from this job I hung my life.

Allen knew why he was fired. Not without reason, and the only reason is because Agra really hates him. To the point of not seeing Allen in his company. Yes Allen understands. Allen could accept it and would leave with a chest.

Allen had a chance to steal a glance before turning around. He smiled widely, grateful that Agra had become a successful man. Staring fixedly at the face of the first love, framing in his heart before he actually left the company. Once he felt enough, he slowly left the crowd. Allen needed a drink to refresh his body. His throat felt choked. Pantry is the goal. His brain is now billowing like a chimney. Even angry people cannot. The love in his heart overcame everything.

The President Director's Room.

Door knocked. Agra let out a long sigh, only then did he lean his body on the back of the chair after examining the stack of reports

“Check, Nath. If it's not an important guest tell me I'm busy!” he says stretching his hand.

“Good, Mr.”

Nathan opens the door and finds Alisa standing with a brown map in her hand. His eyes stared hard at Nathan, who threw a smile. Believe me, nothing in this world can make Nathan smile except Alisa.

Nathan is not surprised when he sees Alisa, as he already knows that Alisa is working in her Boss' company. Alisa, too, was not surprised. Because he also knew if there was Agra it could be confirmed there was Nathan as well.

“Alisa? How are you?” Intending to grab Alisa's wrist. However, it failed because Alisa was moving backwards.

“Sorry, Sir, I came here to meet Mr. Agra. Not to share news with you. What can?”

“Alisa ... why should it be as formal as that? I just asked you a tidings.” Nathan looked at Alisa's unfriendly expression. “Good .. good, stop glaring at me. But your language doesn't need to be so formal. You guys are close friends, aren't you?” Stepping forward, still trying to get closer. And it ends the same. Fail.

“Sorry, sir, this is at the office. I think I have to maintain professionalism. Even if we are close friends, still I am only a subordinate and Mr. Agra is my superior.”

Nathan could only take a heavy breath. Alisa's eyes have never changed since their last meeting. His eyes were still filled with hatred.

“Who, Nath?”

“Wait a minute.” Nathan rushed in, leaving Alisa in front of the room.

“Alisa, Mister,” said Nathan so bristled beside Agra. Agra's forehead wrinkled, he stopped the movement of his hand that was busy opening important documents. His eyes are drawn to the corner.

“Alisa, the glasses, your campus friend, scholarship student at your campus.” Nathan tries to explain Alisa's characteristics without mentioning Kinara by name. As much as possible he did not make a forbidden name. The first Allen, the woman he hated was half dead. And secondly Kinara, the ex-lover who made her almost dead.

A split second later Agra's eyes rounded. “Oh ... Alisa's. He works here? I haven't seen all the employee data. Are there other college friends of mine who also work at my company?”

“Good. Now tell him to come in. I haven't seen him in a long time.”

Alisa took a deep breath before expressing her intention. It is not too heavy to meet Agra, but the irresponsible man who stands behind her who is the cause of Alisa's mood breakdown. So he ignored the courtesy.

“For a long time no see and you're getting pretty, Alisa. How are you?” Agra extended her hand. Alisa was confused to reach for her hand or not. Hey, comeon. Now Agra is no longer his college friend who often eats meatballs with him, but his boss. “Come on Alisa, don't be so stiff. I'm still your friend. Have you forgotten me?”

“No. It's not. The problem is now you are my boss. I don't think I have any advantage to shake hands with you.”

“Hey, fellow friend no word boss and subordinate. You don't need to have any excess to shake my hand. You can even call my name. I won't be angry. It’s ok.” Agra laughed a little.

Alisa looked closely at the man sitting in front of her. Lean on the soft seat. She no longer recognized Agra. It seemed that Agra who used to be so jolly and humble was gone. The one sitting in front of him looked like a living corpse. Like a body without feeling. Agra did laugh and smile, but Alisa did not see any warmth in Agra's eyes.

“I'll keep calling you Father. I hope you can understand my position.”

“It's up to you. So what's it gonna take to see me?” Still trying to keep smiling. A fake smile of course.

“Begini .. I just want to resign from the company Mr. And here's my resignation letter.” Put a brown map on the table. “I know I shouldn't have come to your room just for resignation, but because we are old friends so I want to hand over directly and say hello to you.”

Agra was still surprised. Sitting in his place with a confused look. “Why? Are there any employees or superiors who are acting badly on you? Has your salary been small all this time? Tell. As your friend maybe I can help.”

“No, that's not the problem. All this time my salary was enough. My bosses and friends were very nice to me too. I am also an old employee. So already familiar with other employees.”

“Then why did you resign?”

“Because I will lose my best friend. You certainly know with one of the employees named Allen Caitlin. Who fired for no apparent reason. My best friend, also including my best friend, right?”

Oh no! please don't mention that name. Nathan's worried. Waiting for what Agra's reaction will be like. If he had to choose between Alisa and Agra, Nathan would not be able to choose. Both are important people to Nathan.

“Oh so that's the problem. If your resignation is the way, so that I withdraw the dismissal letter to All...” Momentary silence. Allen's name barely escaped his mouth. “For your best friend, it looks like it won't work. You may be being loyal, man, but I'm sorry your actions didn't change anything."

Even names don't want to be called. Is it as severe as what hurt Allen has inflicted on you? Please don't be blind, you think you're the only one hurt? Allen was also injured. Alisa could only be inward, would not dare to say the sentence earlier.

“It's not so, sir. I just want to resign. Nothing to do with All .. I mean, with other employees. It's purely my personal decision.” Of course Alisa lied. The reason for her resignation is clear that Agra cannot be professional, mixing feelings and work.

Alisa got up from her seat, putting on a thin smile for Agra. He does not want to make things worse. “Then excuse me, sir,” he said as he bent his body. Alisa did not want to linger in Agra's room. Don't want to deal with a human being who has a cooler than ice.

Door's closed. Alisa had already come out leaving Agra still petrified on the chair. “Urus severance for Alisa.”

“But, Mr.”

“Do it, Nath!” yells. Nathan bowed, saying retreat to take care of Alisa's severance.

Agra did not have the heart of Alisa, but it was impossible for her to be in the same building as Allen. For whatever it was he really hated Allen. Half-dead.
