Why is bread burned? What's delicious? "Is this bread raw?"
"What?" Sometimes the questions make sense, too, Max smiled. "For those who want their bread a little crisp, they burn it."
"Needles?"
"Slightly loud, so that sometimes a sound when eating it."
"Ah, I want that."
"OK."
Then Max thrust Miriam a plate containing the toast that had been requested.
The girl tried it. It was strange, there was a bit of bitter taste, but it did not taste so bad.
Max who was eating noticed the way Miriam ate that as if she had just tried it that day. The man was getting curious about the identity of the girl.
----------+++----------
"How, Grace?"
A beautiful woman, standing in front of Max separated by a work desk. Grace is Max's secretary. "I've been looking, sir, and here's a list of the missing people from the embassy and their ID cards."
Max received the file. He checked. He soon breathed. Why isn't that girl on the missing persons list? He thought for a moment. Ah, stupid me! Lita'll speak Indonesian. He is probably an Indonesian citizen. Why didn't I think I got there anyway? Uh!
"Ah, try to find a list of missing Indonesian citizens."
"Good, sir." The secretary then walked out of the room.
The secretary called him on the phone on his desk. "This is a call from home, sir."
"Ok, connect."
There was the voice of someone she knew, the voice of one of her housemaids. "Sir, you better go home. The guests of the Father from earlier were just strange that he did. Now climbing a tree in the back garden. Previously even sat on the fence of his room. I dare not forbid it, sir. Maybe if there's a father, he'll listen."
"Oh, okay. I'll be home soon." Hearing the maid's story, Max panics. He rushed home.
Justright. When she came home, Miriam was sitting on the lowest branch with a trunk large enough to hold her weight.
"Lita, what are you doing there?" max shouted from below.
Miriam looked down. "Sister Max!" He waved from above happily.
"Lita, what are you climbing up to? That's dangerous, Lita. How do you get down later?"
Miriam is confused by Max's statement. Mmh, how do I get down? I was just wondering, what this leg is capable of, but now, am I capable of going down? Mmh ... The girl propped up her chin, thinking.
Am I trying to get down? Miriam stood up, but she slipped. "Aah!"
"Lita!" Max panics and chases her down.
The helpers screamed in horror, imagining the girl falling from a distance of about 5 meters above the ground.
Fortunately, the girl was sprightly until she grabbed a branch from the branch and hung there. Oh, thankfully. He smiles. But the trunk was not as strong as expected. The rod moves to ripen.
Back the maids screamed as the trunk began to bend. Max is below, looking for the right position to catch the body Miriam is about to fall and ....
Brakk!!
The trunk was broken and Miriam fell right on both hands of the man who was waiting below. Miriam was surprised and delighted, Max carried her like that. His cheeks were flushed with embarrassment.
"Lita!" Max looks upset. The man then carried the girl into the house with a quick step.
The maids gave way and then let the two of them off for not wanting to interfere in their matters.
Max dropped Miriam off in the living room and let the girl sit down. "Lita, what you were doing was so dangerous, do you know that?" Max's tone of voice was like a stifled rage.
"I was just trying to climb a tree and it turned out I could" the girl replied proudly.
"But you can fall and get hurt. Didn't you think about it? It's dangerous, Lita." Max advises.
"Try something that is not risky. You're a girl, Lita. No woman climbed a tree like that. How do you climb a tree like that?"
"That's ...." Miriam looked at the man who was still annoyed at her. "Why can't women climb trees?"
"God ...." Max is really dizzy to face Miriam's questions. "If you fall, you can break your leg or your hand. Aren't you afraid that's happening to you?!" said the man was angry.
"But I see that place is not high" Miriam said.
"Lita!!"
The girl pursed her mouth from being scolded.
Max goes awry because he scolds people who don't understand why he's being scolded. He should have taught me not to scold. "OKs. Yes already. I hope you don't do it again." He tried to solve the problem until he got there.
Max is pulling his hair. Now it's not safe to leave that girl alone at home. Actually in the house many maids and housekeepers but no one dared to forbid the girl so she had to, inevitably take the girl wherever she went.
This is what makes it difficult because inevitably Miriam must be able to adapt to her condition or else the girl will always be a public concern. So, the girl must be equipped with knowledge.
Max thought hard by propping up his chin. "That's it. It's not noon yet, we're going to the hospital."
"To the hospital?"
They soon arrived at the hospital. Miriam checked immediately. He was taken to the X-ray. When entering the X-ray, only officers and patients are allowed to enter.
"Eh, why isn't he coming?" miriam asked the officer by pointing at Max.
"Oh, he's not interested."
"What interests?"
"He's not a patient."
"Why are you coming?"
Miriam's question made the officer dizzy. Max finally helped.
"Lita, you'll be X-rayed. Listen to the officer, yes, because I can't help. I don't understand this, so I'll wait for you outside."
"Oh, yes."
Officers then brought the girl in with a gurney. Soon they came back out. Max followed right up to the practice room. The doctor examined Miriam while waiting for X-rays.
"It's doc." A nurse brought her X-rays.
The man then checks on a screen that lights up when turned on. He examined it carefully. "Mmh, I'm still guessing maybe he's in shock."
"Yok?" ask Max.
"Yes. Maybe this woman got on the boat and the boat sank. He may see something more than this that leaves him in shock and wanting to forget what he saw."
"For example?" ask the man not to understand.
"Maybe see his parents drowned or killed."
Max surprised.
"It leaves a trauma that leaves him with memory loss."
Max doesn't know how to comment on this.
"It is better to accompany him until his memory returns. Help him through his hard times."
"Eh, yes doc."
Miriam and Max then walked out of the doctor's office.
"Where are you going now? Buy something?"
Miriam glanced at Max from the corner of her eyes, feeling the man's soft tone start to her.
