MEDICINE FOR MY HUSBAND
CHAPTER 7

MEDICINE FOR MY HUSBAND

Mas Danu continued walking beside me while pushing the trolley that was starting to fill with groceries. I kept putting in the green vegetables: kale, spinach, mustard, long beans, carrots, kitchen spices, frozen chicken, then headed for the transparent refrigerator, immediately put in a few bottles of yogurt.

"What's the hell you want in order for tonight?"

"How do we burn fish?" He asked back.

I nodded immediately. Then hold Mas Danu's hand to stop pushing the trolley.

"Attent, Mas. Something's forgotten." I'll check the groceries immediately. "They haven't bought it yet. Soy sauce, cucumber, basil." Continue while continuing to check. Danu stared into the trolley.

I took over the trolley and walked ahead of Mas Danu.

"Li," called out to her while taking my steps.

"I'm waiting outside, right? I'm looking for food for lunch" he said, staring at his watch. "It's 4 o'clock. Save time."

"Yes, Mas. Buy me some grilled corn, will you?"

Mas Danu brandished his thumb then stepped quickly towards the exit. While I walked straight to the shelf filled with vegetables, took some cucumbers and some basil tie.

After making sure nothing was lacking, I immediately pushed the trolley towards the cashier, rushing out after receiving the refund. Mas Danu greeted me right at the exit. One hand held a transparent plastic bag filled with grilled corn, while the other hand hugged a large bouquet of flowers.

"Where else are we going after this, mom?" I said as he asked me to sit in the front seat of the supermarket.

"home. Kan has not salat asar," he said while handing over plastic containing grilled corn. I put the groceries near my feet and then took a slow bite of this cheese-flavored corn. Then looked at the flower in his arms.

"Oh, yeah, it's for you."

I knit an eyebrow. "I'm not on my birthday."

Mas Danu rubbed the top of my head in a fit of anxiety. "Despite waiting for you to give a new birthday flowers? It's."

I looked at him moved. Not expecting Mas Danu who usually looks cold can be this warm. Mas Danu held out the flower that I immediately received, then kissed it while closing my eyes.

"Do you like flowers?"

I nodded immediately.

"Then I'll buy you every day."

"No need, Mom. Improvident. Mending to buy more necessary needs."

"I can make enough of it."

"Believe."

Mas Danu poked my nose. Swiped my head and then grabbed the plastic results of hunting at the supermarket earlier.

"Yuk, home. We pray at home only," he asked as he reached out, I immediately greeted him. Hand in hand, we headed for the place in the parking lot.

"Liii! Lianaa!"

The call made me stop opening the door. I turned, found a girl with waist-length hair running here.

"Liii, I miss." He immediately hugged me as soon as he arrived, then with a raised smile pinched my cheeks.

Contrary to her parents who used to purely treat me as a maid, Tika was just the opposite. His attitude is so friendly. Tika stopped pinching my cheek, her narrow eyes were now watching Mas Danu.

"You ...." Tika. Danu stretched out his hand.

Tika turned away in disbelief. Then I looked at him with a face full of regret. "I'm sorry, Li. At that time, it was not that I did not want to help. But I'm busy taking care of the thesis so I don't have time to read WA. So busy, your WA can't be contacted." Tika said while occasionally staring at Mas Danu.

Tika must have felt familiar because this man beside me had been hit by her. While Mas Danu did not recognize Tika at all because when Tika visited him, he was lying in a coma.

"Li ...." Tika reached for my left hand. "Are you happy with your marriage? Rara said you wanted to marry her because her mother gave you 500 million. Are you happy, Li?"

"Emp it .. Of course I'm happy." Lirihku, glanced at Mas Danu. Her cheerful face had now turned disappointed.

"You sure you're happy? If not, end your marriage, Li. I'll give that money back. You've been helping me a lot."

Tika looked at me and then changed to Mas Danu. I know Tika always tho the point, but she shouldn't have said so plainly in front of Mas Danu. I tried to give Tika the code to be quiet. Tika took a long breath.

"alright. I-i understand. If you need my help, go straight to WA, Li." Tika hugged me then walked away while intermittently looking back with an unbearable face.

"What's he really saying?" Mas Danu looked at me full of probes.

"That's ...."

"I'm disappointed in you, Li." Mas Danu's gaze turned cold.

"Let me explain, Mommy."

Danu opened the door and rushed in. I'll be right up.

"I ...."

"No need to explain. The truth is, right? Take money from mom."

"Mas."

Turns away. Drive quickly. On the way home, we didn't talk at all. Even after reaching home. Even the salat felt empty. The incident continued, we burned the fish without saying a word.

"Would you make onion sauce or soy sauce sauce?" I started the initiative to open the conversation.

"Whatever." He answered without looking, busy flipping through the fish.

I let out a breath. His attitude like this, really makes my heart ache.

"I'm sorry."

"I was wrong." My next.

"For so long, you've only pretended to like me?" He stared hard, looking so humbling. I immediately shook my head. He squinted his eyes, looking miserable.

"Of course you're just pretending, because all you like is my money."

"No, Mom." I keep denying. In fact, her softened attitude pleased me. Is that not love? With him I feel comfortable, is that not love?

I made soy sauce chili while biting lips strongly so as not to cry, as well as when slicing cucumbers. Immediately I brought the burnt fish to the dining room where he had been waiting and took the rice. A moment later, we ate in suspense.

"Don't wait for me" Mas Danu said as he stood up. I'll be standing up soon.

"Where are you going?"

"Get out."

"Mas, don't go."

He just stared coldly, then stepped quickly towards the door and slammed it. I followed him out while occasionally rubbing the corner of the eye. As soon as the car started driving down the highway, my tears broke
