Marrying the Prince of Cats
Chapter 20

He intercepted a stretcher carrying the Queen's entourage to the palace.

"There's an intruder!"

Some of the Queen's bodyguards were on alert to attack Dilla.

"I have nothing to do with you, so I will not attack you, I only ask that you take me to the palace to meet His Majesty" said Dilla opening her veil

Seeing Dilla a hostage the Queen, then inevitably the guards allowed Dilla into the Queen's palanquin.

Although he knew it was risky, he would do anything to save Narendra.

"Don't fear your majesty, I won't hurt you, I just want to meet with your Majesty the King. So please help me to meet him" said Dilla

Upon arrival at the King's palace, the Queen immediately brought Dilla to meet King Haryo Gautama.

King Gautama was so pleased to see Dilla surrender herself willingly.

"You can do anything to me on one condition" said Dilla

"Tell me what you want?"

"I want to see my husband before you kill me, I want to say goodbye for the last time" Dilla replied

"Well, today I will meet you with your husband" King Gautama then took Dilla to Rendra's place

Rendra was so surprised when he saw Dilla's arrival. He did not understand why Dilla was so stupid that she wanted to exchange her life for his release.

"Are you crazy, how can you do all this. You think I'd be happy and moved to see you sacrifice your life for me. Don't be stupid, Dilla, just go and leave me. I'd rather die than live without you" said Rendra, making Dilla sob.

"I want the same thing. All this time I've never felt such deep love that I wanted to give my life just to meet you, you have to stay alive for the sake of your people. Forgive me for taking something precious from you to make you feel tormented like this. I'm sure this stick will be more useful if it's held by someone like you than me" Dilla said, then handed the scepter to Rendra

Some of the soldiers immediately pulled Dilla and tied her up. Rendra thrashed as several executioners took him away from the place.

Although he did not agree when his life was exchanged for his wife's life, Dilla always assured him that he would be fine.

"Don't be sad, I'll be fine, I promise I'll always remember you wherever I am, no matter how I ask you, keep me in mind even if one day you'll find a replacement for me" Dilla said before leaving Rendra

He tried to smile even though his heart was actually sliced apart when he had to part with Rendra. He knew this was his last meeting before he was executed.

Why did you have to go so far just to save me, did you never think about how I would feel if I lost you in such a miserable way,

Rendra could not help his tears when he saw the executioners begin to hang Dilla in the royal square.

The royal executioners then threw Narendra out of the palace gates and closed the gates of the royal palace.

When Rendra tried to bang on the palace gate, Mahesa immediately pulled him.

"Where's Dilla?" ask Mahesa

"He's inside" replied Rendra

Mahesa screams out her emotions when she finds out Dilla gave herself up to save her husband Rendra.

"Why are you so stupid, Dilla, if only you could wait a little longer, maybe you wouldn't have to sacrifice your life,"

Mahesa then invites Rendra to the inn to join the Royal forces that will attack the kingdom of Anj*ng when Dilla will be executed.

He was so sad when he saw a nation of dogs torturing his wife in front of thousands of dogs.

Sadness makes Rendra many times trying to save the wife but always hindered by the royal commander who accompanied her.

"Don't be rash, you're doing little wrong and they're gonna kill Dilla,"

Before long the cat kingdom army directly attacked the kingdom anj*ng.

Seeing the arrival of an army of cats made King Haryo Gautama angry.

He immediately ordered the executioners to break Dilla's bond, causing the woman to fall into a mud pit filled with crocodiles.

Seeing Dilla fall prey to crocodiles makes Rendra immediately run to him. He drew his bow and shot one by one the reptile.

When he managed to save Dilla King Gautama approached him with his executioners.

Rendra pulled Dilla into hiding behind him.

"You think you'll survive after hurting me!" gautama drew his sword

He then swung his sword towards Narendra making him immediately stunned to see it.

Dilla immediately pushed him, so Rendra rolled to the side. Seeing that Rendra was still safe, Gautama again swung his sword until it stabbed into Dilla's body. The woman immediately collapsed to the ground making Rendra immediately approach her.

"Dilla wakes up Dil, you can't die Dilla, Dilla, Dillaaaaa!" rendra cried hysterically when she saw Dilla's body lying on the ground.

He hugged her tightly while trying to wake her up.

But what power when he saw Dilla was no longer moving even though he tried to wake her up.

In a sad state Rendra continued to hug and kiss the dying Dilla.

Seeing his daughter dying made King Airlangga immediately bring Dilla home to the palace and call a very powerful healer to treat her.

Although Dilla was able to Bertha for several days in a coma. His increasingly critical condition made Dilla finally died. The woman died in Narendra's arms.

The day of Dilla's death was made a national day of mourning by King Airlangga. Not only Rendra was saddened by the woman's departure but the entire community.

"Whatever happens to you, you will always be in my heart.I will always remember you as the only woman who has always reigned in my heart, and never been replaced!"

Heavy rain flushed the cat kingdom as if nature was mourning Dilla's death.

Meanwhile Dilla slowly opened her eyes. Everyone seemed happy when they saw him open his eyes.

A middle-aged woman directly walked up to him and sat by his side.

"Finally you're a baby, too, you know I was terrified when I heard that you fell while filming a dangerous scene.

Dilla looked around her, the woman was so sad to find herself back in her world.

Rendra, does this mean we'll never see each other again??

Is our relationship over??

Dilla cried when she remembered her husband. The longing made her not stop crying over the man. Deep sadness made his family worried about his increasingly apprehensive state.
