Marrying a Blind Man

Marrying a Blind Man
Wedding Day

Cana did not reply, she was speechless. Although he likes Krishan because of his charm but if married...

"Jia, no.."

"All right." Answer Kana quickly.

"What?"

"I want to marry you."

"Really?" Now even Krishan stammered.

"Hm. Just so you keep your promise. First, a comfortable place to live. Second, don't touch me if I don't allow it. Third, you sustain my life. Fourth, don't forbid me from going here and there including work."

Krishan smiled, "there's an addition?"

Kana seemed to think, then she sat down in front of Krishan.

"Krish, I told you that my mother left when I was 12. You know, Krish. My father is like you too. Exactly like you. He's blind from an accident at work."

Kana started to duck. "I cursed my mother who chose to leave instead of taking care of Dad. Though, there's nothing wrong with Dad, he just can't see.

Krish, my father once said, Love cannot be measured by wealth. Because we were people too. After Dad got in an accident, he lost an eye and all his property for medical expenses and so on. My mother left because we were poor. People say girls will follow in the footsteps of their mother. I'm sad, I could be different from my mom, right, Krish."

Krishan was pensive, he saw the gentle side of his future wife. "Married to me. I'll protect you".

Kana smiled broadly, even though she knew that Krishan was saying so that Kana would feel protected.

"Well, I'm willing to marry you. Promise me not to let me down. The rest, I can work for myself".

Krishan nodded, in his heart he would still make the woman happy even if he did not ask for it. Krishan was moved because the woman in front of him apparently accepted his shortcomings.

"I'll take care of everything, you'll just be my bride".

Kana nodded as if Krishan could see that.

...♡♥︎♡♥︎...

"What's? You're crazy!" Pekik Alana when Kana says she will marry a man she knows three days, blind anyway.

"No, Alan. I'm serious."

"No, no, no, no" Alana walked over here and there. "You can't marry someone you just met. Don't because you want to forget about Noah and then you marry anyone who proposes to you!"

"It's not so, Alan. I just want to get married and I think he's a good guy". Clearly to his best friend.

"okay? You just knew her, Kana!"

"Yes, but.."

Kana's words came to a halt as they heard the sound of knocking on the door.

Alana opened the door, a middle-aged woman went straight in without being told.

"It's not it for a long time." Tukas Inna, Alana's mother.

He went in and put the things he was carrying on the sofa.

"You here?" His eyes were fixed on Kana who was bowed.

The woman's breath was heard, "Don't I tell you, don't let her stay here again!" He said to Alana who looked panicked.

"Mom, sit down first. I'll make you some tea so Mom can calm down".

"Mother, Nevermind! Kana took her own life. I didn't pay anything for her and even if I did, I'd use my own money instead of Mom's!"

"Look, you saw, right?" He said to Kana. "Even my son fought me for defending you. Then, what did you give her?" Inna drew closer to Kana who had been bowing deeply since.

"You must have stayed here because of the ease, right? You used my son because he was good to you!"

"Gosh, Mommy! Stop that!"

"I'm sorry, Mom. I'll go today." Kana said with a raucous voice, she held back her cries.

"To be sure, you always say that and keep coming back here".

"No, just promise to leave, because I'm getting married." Tell Kana slowly, so that Alana's mother knows that now there is someone who wants to bear her life.

But Inna laughed. "Who would want to marry a child whose mother ran away because of property? Haha, you must have known, right, that your mother became the second wife of a wealthy businessman?"

Alana pulls her mother's arm. "Enough, Mom. It's been. Come with me for a minute!"

Inna let go of her hand, looking again at Kana. "Tell me who will marry you!"

"He's a florist at Melbourne Market."

Inna laughed again. "What is blind? I heard she liked the market mothers because of her good looks. It's good for you, because he could afford to buy that place from my best friend". Kikikiknya when remembering the story of his best friend who often bought flowers there because of the good looks of the seller.

"It's good that you get married, it'll keep you busy at home taking care of the blind, right." Inna picked up her things on the sofa.

"Ah, Legally. Get your stuff done 'cause I don't like seeing you here." Then he went into Alana's room.

Alana immediately hugged Kana, she apologized continuously for her mother's behavior. All this time, if her mother said she was coming, Kana would run away for a while. But today, her mother did not inform her and found Kana at her son's house, angering her.

Kana sobbed in Alana's arms, she grew more convinced by her decision to marry Krishan, because she had no purpose.

...♡♥︎♡♥︎...

Kana sat quietly in front of the big mirror, looking at her who was now wrapped in a white dress. Today is his wedding day with Chris.

Yesterday, Kana came to Krishan and asked the man to quickly marry her with tears. Although he did not understand what was happening, Krishan simply complied.

Kana asks Krishan not to invite anyone but Alana, and some of Krishan's relatives. He did it because he did not want to be known by many people.

The door was knocked, Alana went inside. He sat down next to Kana, looking at his best friend's face sadly. After all he could not forbid, let alone clearly in front of his eyes his mother chased Kana away. He only prayed that Cana would really get the right person.

"You're happy, Kana?"

Kana looked at Alana from the mirror, the girl had already shed her tears.

"I'm happy, Alan. You don't have to be sad."

Alana put her head on Kana's shoulder. "I'm happy if you're happy." He said, while Kana stroked his cheek gently.

The time came, Kana came out, walking alone towards the groom who was standing quietly there. They will have a wedding ceremony.

Kana continued to look forward, seeing her future husband who was very handsome in a black suit, a little make Kana excited because of the charm of Krishan that can make her stunned.

"You ready?" Krishan asked as Kana approached, as usual, she knew because she was very familiar with the scent of Kana.

"Yes, I'm ready". He then closed his lips, hoping that his decision would be the right one for him, if he could, until the end of his life.
