"All right, you believe me?"
Krishan nodded, he then placed his head on his wife's shoulder.
"Hey, what's up?" Kana gently stroked Krishan's hair, she felt that her husband was feeling very sad.
"I'm afraid you're leaving me."
"Why do you suddenly say that?" Kana frowned. Hearing Krishan's sad tone and countenance, Kana was confused. The face that sometimes looks fierce finally shows its sad side.
"I'm afraid you're bored because I'm blind. Then you finally left with another man."
"Huh?" Kana gawked at Krishan's rapport. She pulled her husband to sit on the sofa.
Kana cupped both of Krishan's cheeks with her hands. She noticed her husband's sad face, looking at his dysfunctional but sad eyes. Really makes him anxious, like a child who does not want to be left by his mother.
"I understand, Krish. Didn't I ever tell you that my father is like you?"
Krishan did not reply, he did remember Kana had told him about it.
"I know how your love for Mom is, I also witnessed the downturn of my Dad after my mother died. I can't do the same with my mom, Krish. That's the first one. Then second, I love you."
Kana's explanation does not also make the bad mood in Krishan's heart subside, because there is nothing that guarantees Kana's love will be there until the finish line. Moreover, hearing the story of Mother Kana, did she not love her husband?
"Krish, you love me, right?"
Krishan nodded quickly, making Kana smile with Krishan's current face. It looks like a funny puppy.
"Then you have to trust me, Krish. Besides you said yourself that I can't say you're my husband."
Krishan. Right, he was the one who forbade his wife from saying that. Then when his wife was chased by another man, it even made him frustrated.
"So, you're sad to think about that, huh?"
Kana pulls Krishan's body and hugs him. She understood the feelings of her husband who had been betrayed by his ex-wife-to-be, as well as her current circumstances that made Krishan's confidence decline. He always expected bad things to happen to him.
"When I like your fierce look."
Chris pulled himself in. Now he changed his facial expression to cold, making Kana chuckle.
"You promised you wouldn't leave me, right?" Ask again.
"Yes, unless you leave me."
"That's never gonna happen." His words firmly, made Kana even more anxious.
"Sweet, funny, anyway. I'm worried.." Kana pinched both of Krishan's cheeks with anxiety and ruffled Krishan's hair.
"Joe.."
"Haha. Aye, yes. You're funny. But Krish.."
"What's wrong?"
Kana held her stomach. "I'm hungry, I don't have breakfast. I'm going home first." He said and then moved.
"wait. We eat together. How about we take a walk today. I'll close the shop."
"Well, really? Yeee.." Now it was Kana's turn to jump like a child and then hug Krishan's waist. Exactly the child who is happy because invited to play by his father.
Not waiting long, they closed the shop and went straight home to prepare. Krishan wears the clothes that Kana has provided, making it even more regretful, why Kana was not present in his life before.
"Jia, I can eat by myself. You better eat, he said hungry." Refuse it when Kana feeds and tells her to open her mouth.
"Yes, I'm eating with you too. We're one plate and one spoon, after toast you, I'm also repeating myself." Obviously full of smiles. Kana remembered, she had also done the same to her father long ago.
Hearing that, Krishan was silent and obeyed.
"Where are we going, Krish?" Ask Kana.
"Where are you going?"
"Where are you with me."
Kana's reply made Krishan smile brightly. "How about we're in the room."
"Krish..."
"You said you came with me." Krishan's Kekeh.
"How about going to the movies??" Kana instantly realized. "Ah. Sorry Krish, I forgot. Going to the playground? Ah can't either. Hmh.." Kana seemed to think, while Krishan tried to hold back his sad look. He felt they had limitations in doing what Kana wanted.
"Where, huh?" Kana keeps thinking of a place she and Krishan can enjoy together. Then she turned to Krishan who could not hide his sad face anymore. He realized, was Krishan offended by his words?
"Jia, I want to swim."
Kana didn't answer directly. He kept staring at Krishan's face. It seemed that Kana was trifling her words just now. Krishan, he must be sad because Kana mispronounced earlier.
Chris stood up straight. Without feeling, he walked because he was already memorized by the arrangement of his house. Kana who watched Krishan headed for the room, did not budge. He knew that Krishan was losing half of his confidence. Butwhy? Hasn't she been okay all along and looked very confident?
Along the way, neither Krishan nor Kana spoke much. Moreover, Kana, seeing the depression of Krishan's face made him blame himself. He did not want to apologize, but he was afraid that his apology would hurt Krishan more.
Upon arriving, Kana gawked. Chris took her to one of the luxury hotels. The man booked a room that provided a private pool inside.
Kana only sees Krishan swimming with the rilex. He seems to have been very well trained with breaststroke.
Chris may want to calm his feelings by swimming. But Kana could see that Krishan's face was still the same. Kana really felt guilty. He also did not know how to restore the spirit of Krishan like before.
Chris has not stopped. He continued swimming until Kana decided to go down to the pool. He was waiting at the end, right where Krishan was about to land. Kana immersed her body, preparing as Krishan was approaching.
The tip of Krishan's hand grabbed the edge of the pool, without him noticing, he locked Kana in both hands. As her body rose to the surface, Kana pulled on the man's nape, touched his wet cheek, then lowered it closer to his face.
Kana kisses Krishan's lips gently. She realized her husband's sadness, she regretted what she did last night and what she said today, the main thing that is forming fear in Krishan now.
Krishan was silent for a moment, letting what Kana did to him. Then his hands hugged the body of Kana who still kept on clenching her lips. He put his arms together, something he desperately needs right now. She started to feel a little calm, as Kana even kissed her very gently.
Kana looked at Krishan's face for a moment, then hugged him tightly. Without a word, they continued to hug for a long time. It was as if filling up on each other's decaying energy due to a deep misunderstanding.
Krishan let go of his embrace, palpating Kana's face with his wet hands. "I'm sorry. Please don't regret marrying me."
Kana. Her feelings were increasing on the man before her. She wrapped her hands around Krishan's waist, placing her cheeks on the chest of the comfortable plane.
"Don't say that again. I don't want to hear it because it never crossed my mind."
Krishan tightened his embrace. Feeling really lucky to have asked Kana to marry him.
Kana kissed the man's chest. "I need to talk to you. Come on, up."
Kana gently wiped Krishan's face with a towel. The man sat down obediently, according to whatever his wife did to him.
"Now, say everything. I know something's still in your heart." Kana said softly and laid the towel on both of Krishan's shoulders.
Krishan did not say, Kana was patiently crouching under Krishan. He clasped tightly onto the hand of the man whom he did not quite understand his attitude.
"Krish, I can't understand what's in your heart if you don't say it." He said as he continued to look into Krishan's sad eyes.
"You know what I felt when I first realized I was blind?"
Kana did not answer, she chose to listen to her husband's story.
At that time, he gave a tight grip to his bed sheet. He knew something was wrong from his vision, especially after hearing what the doctor said. And sure enough, he's blind. Although the doctor said good things, his eyes can still be cured with new corneal surgery, but still Krishan was in severe shock. He doesn't even want to live life.
Chris stayed in his bed. It was a very bright day, but it was very dark in his eyes. He doesn't even want to talk to his friends. It was destroyed, it was the first thing he felt. Desperate, after he finds out that he can't do anything.
Various pieces of advice were heard in his ears. Just get in and out. He thought those people were just good at talking. If this is the case, of course they will not be able to live the day without being able to see.
Krishan, that second also felt his pride being torn apart when people considered him like a fool.
They lead Krishan who can walk properly. They give Krishan money, they pity him who is trying to rise from the slump. From that day on, Krishan learned to be able to do it himself. However, Krishan did not want to be helped even though he was blind. He doesn't like to be pitied, he doesn't want people to underestimate him.
Then when he met Kana, the confidence he built as hard as possible was destroyed because of the many limitations of himself when he was with his wife. Including not being able to protect the girl until she keeps her marriage a secret.
"Treat me like a normal man in general, Jia. No need to bribe me to eat, because I can be alone. There is no need to lead me because I can walk on my own. Don't pity me, because it hurts me. I want to be able to stand straight in front of you, protect you."
Krishan's words just now made Kana nod her head, she began to understand Krishan's feelings. He who was once a manly and spirited leader, has power and also a high ego, must swallow the bitterness of life and live life from below. He who used to be highly respected now feels like being banished and trivialized.
Kana sat next to Krishan. He cupped Krishan's cheeks with both hands.
"Krish, listen.." Kana gently stroked Krishan's cheek with her thumb, creating a sense of comfort so that what she said could be accepted by her husband.
"Nobody underestimated you. I didn't do that because I felt sorry for you either. Not because you are weak and incapable. But because I love you, Krish. I do it because of my love that you want to stay close to and with me. Have you considered everything I've done because I love you?"
Kana's explanation kept Krishan quiet. While Kana kept staring at the face that had indeed made her fall in love with it.
Krishan hugged Kana, kissed the girl's shoulder and Kana gently stroked her husband's hair.
"I understand how you feel, Krish. I totally understand. But I am your wife. I did it because of how I felt about you. Pure because of that. I want to serve you, give your best so that you feel happy and comfortable. Not the reverse."
Krishan tightened his embrace. Hearing his wife's words made his heart calmer and he really loved Cana.
Right, maybe it's just his feelings. All this time he could hold it. Somehow when he found out Kana was carried by another man, also he who could not do anything when Kana was drunk made him sad. His deeper feelings for Kana even more make him not confident, also the fear of Kana who is always free to go here and there with her male friends.
"Are you better?"
Krishan nodded at Kana's shoulder.
Ah, panja.. Kana until really anxious.
"If there's anything else you want to say, I'll mende.."
Kana was aghast as Krishan kissed her lips, lifting the girl's body onto her lap.
"Krish.."
"I love you. I love you so much, Jia." His whisper in front of Cana's lips, made her chest rumble to hear a speech that was very visible sincerity. He could see how much Chris loved him. Kana's never felt this before. Even Noah's repeated love for her was not like this. Krishan's words were very beautiful in Kana's ears.
Kana immediately grabbed Krishan's lips, sipped them again and again. He pressed on the back of Krishan's head, signaling that he wanted more.
"Wanna move?" Whispering Krishan and Kana smiled broadly while kissing her husband's cheek.
