A man sits in a wheelchair facing the window of the patient's room. He looked straight at her with the blank look he showed on his face.

Yes, he is Rian's former fiancee Adelia who is now sitting in a wheelchair without being able to move both legs. Two weeks ago he woke up from his coma with both legs deformed. From the moment he woke up, he could only sit quietly staring at the window in his room.

Not long after, Leta went into the room Rian occupied. As usual, he carried the flowers he had placed in the vase on the table, right next to Rian's bed. After putting the flowers there, he stepped his foot toward Rian who was still sitting there.

“Why are you sitting here?” Leta asked as she was already standing beside Rian.

“When will you bring Adelia here?” Ask Rian. He does not answer Leta's questions and only asks about Adelia without even looking at Leta once. He just stared straight out the window of his room.

Leta looked silently at Rian's question. He didn't know what to say to the man he loved so much. Moreover, the doctor told him that Rian should not hear anything that could disturb his mind. And it would be fatal to his health.

If Rian is stable, then he will tell you all about Adelia. He had to lie to Rian about what happened to Adelia. He couldn't tell Rian that Adelia was married to the man who had kidnapped her until she was like this.

Rian looked towards Leta when he did not get an answer from Leta about his question earlier.

“You lied to me that Adel was coming here.” Highlight Rian's eyes looked sharp as he looked at Leta, as if he knew that there was something Leta was hiding.

Leta again – again silent does not answer the sentence that said Rian.

“Seeing you quiet like that. I know that you must be hiding something Leta. Quickly tell me, did you lie to me about Adelia coming here?” Rian asked guessing what he was thinking.

Leta closed her eyes for a moment, then looked at Rian seriously.

“I'm sorry Rian, actually Adelia didn't know that you were in the hospital.” Answer Leta.

By force, he said that he had lied about Adelia who already knew the situation now.

Two weeks ago when Rian woke up, Leta was deliberately lying to Rian if Adelia already knew about her condition when Rian continued – continuously looking for Adelia's whereabouts. Back then, he only wanted to calm down the raging Rian. Moreover, Rian felt such intense pain in his head due to the hard impact he experienced during the accident.

Instantly Rian turned his wheelchair towards Leta when he heard the word – Leta said. His face was shocked to hear what Leta said.

“What did you say?”

“Adelia didn't know you were alive and being treated here. I haven't contacted him at all. I haven't contacted your family, either, Rian. I'm sorry for lying to you about Adelia and your family who wanted to come here.” It was clearly Leta with her face looking guilty.

“What do you mean by – you said that?” Rian asked who was increasingly confused to hear Leta's explanation.

“They thought you were dead.”

“What?” Rian was so shocked to hear Leta's words that his eyes glared at Leta.

“Sorry...”.

“Not that you said that Adelia and my family knew that I was alive.”

Leta closed her eyes for a moment, then looked back at Rian seriously. “I'm really sorry Rian.”

Leta's apology has proven that everything he says is true.

Just then, Rian held his head with both hands. His expression looked agitated and worried. He did not think that everyone thought he was dead.

“I have to go back to Indonesia. Adelia must have been sad and shocked to know I died. I have to meet him directly Leta” Rian said with his expression agitated and worried given Adelia's state. He thought that Adelia must have been very sad and could not accept the news of her death.

Leta directly bowed in front of Rian while holding onto both of Rian's shoulders shortly after hearing his words.

“Rian....your current condition does not allow to return to Indonesia. You still need treatment here.” Leta tries to give understanding to Rian who still needs treatment there.

“No...Adelia is more important. I gotta go back, Leta. She must be very sad. Both of my parents must have been sad to hear I died.” Rian.

Just then, Rian removed Leta's hand from her shoulder, then moved her own wheelchair towards her bedside.

“Can't, you can't leave before you get well. Don't you realize you can't walk. You're disabled Rian.” Leta shouted as she saw Rian moving his wheelchair towards her bed.

Suddenly, Rian realized when he heard Leta's words, especially when he saw his two legs that he could not move. Instantly his body seemed weak with his face that looked sad with his current state. He can't do anything – anything except sit still in his wheelchair.

Unknowingly he pushed all – items on the table with both hands including the flower vase that Leta always put on the table. At that time, he did not accept the situation he was in. He was helpless, how could he want to meet Adelia with such a weak state. Her thought.

Leta who saw Rian drop all the items on the table could only stare sadly at the man she loved.

Leta who saw that immediately hugged the body of Rian who was sitting in a wheelchair.

“I'm here, I will definitely heal your legs Rian. You still have me.” Said Leta trying to calm Rian down.

Rian did not return Leta's embrace at all. He just stayed there with his eyes sharp. At that time, he recalled the kidnapping incident that happened to him with his friend named Jhon.

“The one who ruined my life. Will get a reply worth.”

Leta immediately let go of her embrace when she heard Rian's sentence.

“Rian..you remember the man who kidnapped you.”

“Yes, I remember their faces. But I don't know why they kidnapped me. I have never had an enemy. I will definitely find out the reason why they kidnapped me?”

Leta could only silently hear Rian's words without daring to tell the truth. He does not want to burden Rian with all the facts about Adelia until Rian's condition is correct – is completely healed.

“Sorry Rian, I can't tell you the reason behind your abduction until you're cured. I'm afraid that you don't accept the truth.” In Leta's heart.

Leta then spoke to Rian after a moment of silence there.

“If the person who kidnapped you was a powerful person, what would you do?” Leta asked curious about Rian's opinion.

“What does your question mean, do you know something I don't know?” Rian asked with an astonished expression at Leta's question.

“No.. I just said what I thought. I have absolutely no idea about your abduction.”

“Let him be a powerful man. I will definitely find out the reason behind my kidnapping until it kills Jhon. That man would love me to die with Jhon.” Rian.

Rian knew about Jhon's death the day after he woke up from his coma.

“Rian. Let's forget it.”

Rian immediately looked at Leta sharply with anger.

“You said I should forget everything. Are you not sane huh. Can't you see my situation. If they hadn't done that to me, I might have married Adelia. I won't be deformed like this. Do you understand?” He shouted with glaring eyes at Leta who was standing in front of him.

Leta was immediately shocked to see Rian who was so angry to hear his words earlier. He could only watch Rian there.

Rian again continued the word – said.

“I'm so grateful for all your help. I'll pay all the hospital fees you've spent on me. I still have money to pay for my treatment here. Even though I can only pay you a portion. But...I can't let a woman finance my life.” Clearly it is firmly.

“Rian. Please don't say it.”

“I know that you are sincere. But sorry..I can't let you be hard because it helped me.”

Leta immediately crouched down in front of Rian, he held Rian's hand there.

“Alright...I will obey all your will. But for now let me help you until you're healed. I beg Rian, please let me help you. You consider me a friend. So please accept my help. I'll accept your money if it's your will.” Leta begs Rian to let Rian take care of her. Leta is very hopeful that if one day Rian can see her sacrifice, Rian can fall in love with her just as Rian is in love with Adelia. That was all he could do to keep Rian by his side.

“Good.” Rian replies when he sees Leta pleading for him with her sad face. He could not bear to see the sad face of the woman he regarded as his friend.

“Thank you.”

Leta hugged Rian again with an expression that looked very happy to hear Rian agree with his request, while Rian just remained stiff without returning Leta's embrace.

“Sorry Rian. I love you so much. Even though I helped you heal. But in my heart I wish that you would forever be like this so that I could always be by your side. And you'll never come back to her. I'm sorry for having such evil thoughts. But even though I have such thoughts, I will still help until you recover. I sincerely want to help you.” In Leta's heart.
