Chapter 21 Self-esteem rescue

“Mimi! It's late, tell them to go home!” tristan exclaimed from the middle room.

Miyuki, Max and Lucas who were in the living room stopped their laughter when they heard Tristan's exclamation aimed at them.

“Why else is it?” ask Lucas to Miyuki.

“Regular sensi,” says Max while chuckling.

“Against her PMS,” replied Miyuki while chuckling.

Laughter of the three of them again broke into the room, to disturb the hearing of Tristan who was in the room next to him.

He immediately walked towards the living room where Max, Lucas and Miyuki were still there. His eyes were drawn to Max and Lucas.

Lucas' laughter stopped. He did not dare to see the anger that was clearly implied from Tristan's eyes.

Another case with Max who is still calm and still act cool as usual. She did not feel depressed by the gaze that Tristan gave her.

As for Miyuki, she was used to Tristan like that, so she used to respond to her husband's attitude as if intimidating her.

“Already night. Why haven't you two come home yet?” tristan asked Lucas and Max by looking at the two of them in turn.

“So soon Brother, after we ate,” Lucas replied with a forced smile on Tristan.

“Eat?” chirps Tristan as if shocked to hear if they will eat at his house.

“Max has ordered food from Papi's restaurant. Surely soon the food will come,” said Miyuki while eating her favorite potato chips.

Tristan's face changed. His angry face was now getting annoyed to look very angry at them.

He landed his butt rough on the sofa close to his wife. And his eyes were still watching Max and Lucas without turning their eyes away from them.

Suddenly Bik Saroh came to the living room carrying some food boxes bearing the name of Aydin's restaurant and said,

“This is the food Madam. What do I need to prepare at the dining table now?”

“Iya Bik, prepare for the three of us. If Kak Tristan wants to come eat too, prepare for one more person Bik, so four people,” Max said with a grin on Tristan.

Tristan's jaw hardened, his hands clenched and his eyes glared more and more sharply at Max. Suddenly his hand took Miyuki's hand and carried her in his grasp while saying,

“I'm going to eat Bik, accompany my wife.”

Miyuki choked while drinking a soft drink from her can. He clamped his nose which was painful due to the choking soft drink he drank.

While Max and Lucas held back his laughter hearing the sentence that came out of Tristan's lips. It's funny that they think Tristan is being sweet and romantic with Miyuki. All because of Miyuki's face that looks stiff and shocked when getting such treatment from her husband.

Bik Saroh held back his smile seeing his master look so sweet like a newlywed who could not be separated. Then he left the living room to the dining room to prepare dinner.

After all the food had been served at the dining table, Bik Saroh called them to immediately move into the dining room.

Max painstakingly picked up a side dish for Miyuki while saying,

“Yuki, this is your favorite.”

Tristan stared intently at Max who was very presumptuous in his opinion. In his heart he said,

How insolent he is. I've told you that I don't like being touched by someone else. How dare he touch mine.

“You never forget what I love Max,” Miyuki said with a happy smile on Max.

“Sure dong. From childhood I was given the responsibility to look after you,” said Max while pinching Miyuki's cheek.

Tristan widened his eyes to see what Max had done to his wife. Even the spoon he was holding was his target. The spoon held him very tightly to channel his anger.

“Why? Are you going to scold me for giving her favorite food? I'm sure if you don't know anything about Miyuki. So don't you confess to being her husband if you don't know anything about Miyuki,” Max said with a grin as if mocking Tristan.

“Kamu...,” said Tristan was full of anger, unfortunately his words could not be resolved because he felt what was said by Max was true.

“What? It's true, isn't it? Don't reason because your matchmaking is married so you can't know each other. Aren't you the one who asked to be betrothed to Miyuki? So it is not the right reason if you make the match as an excuse. If after marriage you do not want to try to find out about your wife, better just give up,” Max said while grinning to denigrate Tristan.

Tristan stood up from his seat and stared at Max, saying,

“Close your mouth and leave this house immediately!”

Then Tristan quickly lifted Miyuki's body sitting and held her bridal style. She walks quickly to her room without caring about the rebellious Miyuki asking that Tristan drop her off.

Max chuckles at Tristan's attitude which he thinks is burning with jealous flames. Unfortunately Tristan never admitted or found out about his feelings for his wife.

More precisely he refused to include Miyuki's name in his heart because he felt he still maintained the one female name that had once existed in his heart.

“Max what's really going on? Why are you so brave for Tristan? You should have respected him more. It's not like you Max,” asked Lucas to Max who was still chuckling looking towards Tristan and Miyuki's room.

Max turned to Lucas. Then she smiled at him while saying,

“It's Lucas, not yet you know. We better eat it now.”

Lucas scrunched his forehead, he felt clueless as to what Max said to him. Then he said,

“Do we not have to go home Max?”

“Eat first, after that we go home,” replied Max calmly in between his food chews.

Lucas watched Max eat quietly. After that he continued eating with many thoughts that crossed his mind.

Inside her room, Miyuki was sitting on the sofa pursing her lips and staring intently at her husband. She was so upset at her husband that he just took her into his room when he was with Max and Lucas.

Tristan understood the meaning of his wife's gaze, but he ignored her. He himself had no reason to explain his actions to his wife. All she knows is that she just saved her pride as Miyuki's husband in front of Max and Lucas.
