MARRIED BRONDONG

MARRIED BRONDONG
Early Meeting

"How's Mom doing?" ask me with a loud voice

"She's still in a coma" my husband replied, causing my tears to splash down my cheeks

I hurried to see Mother who was still in the ER room. I rubbed his sweat soaked his temple and I kissed him on the forehead while I whispered a prayer for his recovery.

Somehow when I saw his face, implied the face of my mother who I had not visited for a long time.

Although we often exchange news, but still the longing always makes me angry.

I see all the nurses are so busy dealing with the same patients.

Krisna came up to me and rubbed my head gently.

"We'd better go home first neng, kasian kids,"

"Yes,"

I immediately went and followed Mas Krishna to meet Bagas and Sifa.

From a distance I saw my two children playing in front of the hospital mosque.

Looks like the timid Kaka didn't dare to go to the hospital to see his grandmother.

I saw that my father-in-law had come and taken care of both.

Seeing me still in my work uniform, he told me to go home and bring the kids.

"You'd better go home first, let me be with Raka who will take care of your mother,"

I nodded and immediately said goodbye to him.

Not far from Mushola Mas Krisna is waiting.

When I got home I prepared dinner.

Both of my children seemed so hungry that they immediately ate their food so greedily.

After eating, the two headed straight to his room.

Not long after I looked again both of them seemed to have fallen asleep on the bed.

They were exhausted after a long day in the hospital.

"So how did Ay, ko Mommy get to fall in the bathroom?"

"It didn't fall in the bathroom but it fell in the living room" replied Mas Krishna

"But Raka said, in the bathroom,"

"She's not home anymore so don't know what's going on,"

"How did it really happen?"

Krisna then told me everything in detail. Apparently, Mom fell over at breakfast.

"Somehow, suddenly my mother fell when she was going to put the plate back" he said sadly

I immediately hugged her tightly, I knew she must have been very upset. Moreover, I know she is so close to Mom.

"Patience dear, may you quickly wake up and be healthy again as before,"

"Amijin,"

That night I couldn't sleep, somehow I was still thinking about my mother.

At one in the morning Raka came home to tell him that we had to find a hospital that had a surgeon.

Mas Krishna and I immediately rushed to the hospital to see the doctor.

The doctor explained if the mother had a brain hemorrhage and had to be operated on immediately. However, because the surgeon at the hospital is out of service, so we have to find a hospital that has a surgeon so that Mother can be operated immediately.

Armed with a referral letter my doctor and my husband immediately rushed that night also to several government and private hospitals.

But unfortunately, we could not find a hospital that could operate on the mother quickly.

On average they provide waiting time, because the operating schedule is so crowded.

Of course you can't wait too long, because you can die if you don't have surgery right away.

That night I decided to stay in the hospital. It just so happened that she was transferred to a patient care ward.

After the evening prayer, I immediately read the Koran beside my mother.

That's all I can do now, especially after seeing one by one the patients in the room die.

There were only two people left, not one patient coming in.

Their average state is the same: falling, and unconsciousness.

In addition to teaching I also try to invite mother to talk, hopefully that way she will soon be awake.

I know my mother is sick because she thinks too much about her father's debts that accumulate.

At half-four in the morning, my mother opened her eyes and clasped my fingers tightly.

"Mom's up??"

I hurried to wake up Mas Krishna and tell Dad that Mom is awake.

After talking to Father not long Mother breathed her last in the man's arms.

I was so sad that Mom left so soon.

That morning also my husband immediately brought Mother back to the village to Semarang.

They wanted my mother buried there. My children and I stayed in Jakarta because I had to distribute even-semester rapids.

On the sidelines of my busyness filling in the report, the night I tahlilan at home.

After the distribution of the report I followed to Semarang to visit Mother's grave.

Looks like a beautiful woman looks busy helping to serve food during tahlilan event.

I just saw her first, out of curiosity I asked my sister-in-law.

"He who?" I pointed at the woman

"Temen Mas Krishna" replied my sister

"Oh," I replied then rushed out to get some fresh air

At that time I did not suspect him at all, because that day all of my husband's friends came home to do penance.

I saw Mas Krishna so engrossed in chatting with his school friends on the porch of the house.

A beautiful woman suddenly approached me.

"You must be Mba Laila?" the sap is so friendly

"Kok know??" my answer scrunched my forehead

"Definitely, Krishna often tells stories about being in the group" the other replied chiming in

"Include Me Barrel" said one woman extending her hand

"If I were Saskia,"

"Hera" the woman stretched out her hand

"Nur Laila, just call Laila,"

After introducing myself, I mingled with them trying to familiarize myself.

Although a little awkward because I can not speak Java well I tried as much as I could.

Not long ago, Chris introduced me to other friends.

"Include Me Thunder," said a smiling man kindly greeting me

"City,"

Turns out I know all my husband's friends he always told me about.

Hera, that woman does look as graceful and very beautiful as my husband told me. Guntur, his richest friend and still single at the age of thirty.

Just as I was about to enter the house to grab a snack, Thunder suddenly followed me.

"Can I ask you something?" his question made me stop my steps

"Just ask?" answer me

"Honestly, I admire you so much,"

*deg's!

I don't know why I suddenly feel like there's something that makes me feel uncomfortable with that line.

"Don't get me wrong, I just want to ask you for help, if you have a single friend can introduce me," he said a little embarrassed

"Oh, sure," I replied in relief

"Then I'll give you my number so you can call me,"

The man gave me his business card,

"Ok, I'll call you later" I replied and left

As I headed to the kitchen I saw Mas Krishna and a woman. Both look so close to the size of a friend. My heart was racing when I saw the two getting closer,

What are they doing???
