32. Contacting Mateo

Dave was still silent with his chest rumbling because the killer of his family was in front of his eyes. He occasionally stares intently at Javier who laughs happily as their conversation begins to creep into the prostitution business. Paolo is still staring at Dave, and he grows suspicious of Dave.

Is Dave going to hurt his master? His hand was already holding the handle of the gun behind his shirt, if only Dave moved and attacked Javier suddenly. Lee himself felt strange with Dave's gaze on Javier, he then touched Dave's shoulder and whispered to him.

"Dave, you don't make Javier's assistant suspicious. You're looking at him too seriously" Lee said, telling Dave not to look at him sharply.

Dave turned his head towards Lee, nodding Lee to Dave's realization of his anger at Javier. He then looked at Paolo, then looked back down and let out a long sigh. He turned calm again, looking at Paolo who was still looking at him suspiciously, Dave smiled to eliminate Paolo's suspicion on him.

The length of their discussion continued, until Fernandez' decision with Javier's invitation to cooperate drug trafficking was not responded. He rejected the business partnership with Sandres Miguel and Javier Morrata.

"So you rejected Mr Hugo? The profit is good too. What else can we order a virgin girl. Ahaha!" javier said with his laughter now blaring.

Making the bodyguards around each, especially Dave was getting sick of hearing it. He even wanted to leave from that place, his face turned sideways from being fed up with the talk of the three of them.

"Dave, you shouldn't hear what they're talking about." Lee whispered to Dave.

"If I can get out of here, Lee" said Dave.

"But in reality we have to escort Mr. Hugo wherever he goes or meets anyone" Lee said.

"Did you not like their business?"

"Of course, to me it's very infringing. But we live in a mafia world, sometimes we have to be really ruthless. Like yesterday, if we're not cruel. We're the ones they're gonna kill" Lee said.

Time to rest, Dave was in his room that had been provided by Juan Isaac according to Fernandez' orders. And now Dave's up on the ceiling of his room, thinking about meeting Javier at the coffee shop.

Dave got up from his bed and sat down, picked up his phone at a small table and pressed his tomobol. Trying to contact someone he hasn't called in seven years. Because they never hold a cell phone.

Turns out it's still connected, Dave's happy. But he had to wait, because it might be a time difference as well. But he should be able to lift it now.

"Hello?"

"Mateo?"

"Sir Dave?"

"Aah, right. Do you remember me?"

"Oh yeah? I haven't seen Liu in five years either. Have you found out where he is?" dave asked curious about Liu.

"I don't know yet how he is, Mr. Dave. But all I heard was that he was alive, somewhere he was" Mateo replied.

"Oh, thank goodness he's alive. I'm glad to hear it, I'm afraid he's dead" Dave said.

Shut up, Dave was silent, Mateo. They hold the same grudges, but face them in different ways. I don't know what Mateo was thinking, only a long snort was heard from the phone connection in Dave's ear.

"How's it going in there, Mateo?" ask Dave.

"I'm sorry Mr. Dave, all your papa-owned companies are now switching hands on Javier's behalf. He was cunning to use bureaucrats and the telecommunications ministry in the government. And Luca can only run through illegal sites right now" Mateo explained.

Dave was silent again, it turns out what Javier said when in the coffee shop about him because he had mastered the company of his father who had been pioneered personally. Dave clenched his hand, there was a growl on his lips making Mateo again sigh long.
