Hyra had been visiting the Emperor's Palace for a week. He did not know what attracted him to go there almost every day. Maybe he already knows. But it was his heart that did not want to admit. I don't know.
And as usual, the Emperor would order Deon to accompany Hyra on a walk around her Palace.
Hyra walked with a happy smile all the way while Deon escorted beside her. It stopped not far from a Pavilion or a small Ward. His steps came to a halt and was stunned to look at the Pavilion.
He rarely passed the Pavilion with a small swing with a colorful pattern in the corner. His heart could not lie that every look at that Pavilion, his brain was like thinking of something unthinkable. Like a forgotten memory that he wants to remember but cannot. Especially when you see that swing. His face turned sad. There was no joyous smile like before passing through that Pavilion.
Deon glanced at Hyra's face and the Pavilion took turns. "Mr Princess, please continue! I can't linger because His Majesty the Emperor will definitely look for me." He woke Hyra from her daydream. Hyra complied and continued the steps of leaving the Pavilion.
For a moment, Deon glanced at the Pavilion. He deliberately kept Hyra from there. He did not want Hyra to remember her past.
Flashbacks: flashback:
"Come, push harder." Pinta is a nine-year-old girl. Hyra kept asking Liam to push the swing she was playing on even firmer.
"Later you can fall, Princess." Hyra pursed her lips pouting because Liam just swung her swing very slowly.
"Liam's bodyguard, I'll report to Yanda if you don't obey me." Threaten Hyra upset. Liam sighed. "alright. Tight grip." He began to swing his swing faster.
Hyra laughed cheerfully with a gentle breeze blowing her hair. Makes her cute face even more adorable.
The handle suddenly loosened. He fell off the swing and injured his knee. "Aw, sick!" he complained of pain and sat himself on the ground.
Liam approached and immediately examined the wound on the little girl's knee. "Where are you looking?" he tried to calm down so as not to make Hyra panic even more. He tore off his robe to bandage Hyra's wounds. "Mr Daughter, I'm sorry." He feels guilty.
Hyra shook her head quickly. "No. I'm the one who's sorry. I forced the Liam Guards to push their swings hard." He said with tears welling up in his eyes.
No cry. It's gonna get worse, you know." He calmed Hyra who looked almost crying. He rubbed Hyra's cheek gently.
Hyra looked at Liam with teary eyes. "Liam's bodyguard, I promise I won't complain to Yanda." Suddenly sawn.
Liam looked at her and smiled. "I'm ready to be punished if the Princess tells His Majesty the Emperor."
Hyra shakes. "I promise I won't complain." Denial quickly. Liam was silent for a moment. He then nodded. "Then, don't cry. If the Princess were to cry, His Majesty the Emperor would definitely be suspicious and ask what happened to you." He gave a reason for Hyra not to cry. In fact he knew the Emperor would definitely still know the wound on Hyra's knee and would give Liam a heavy punishment.
Hyra nodded obediently. She wiped her tears and smiled sweetly. Liam pinched his cheek softly in a fit of anxiety. "Smart girl."
"What's going on here?" Liam turned around and bowed quickly when he heard the sound. "Daughter, what's your knee?" The emperor looked very worried.
"Yanda, it's my fault. I had Guards Liam push my swing so hard that it made me fall." Hyra defended Liam.
"Servant, take the Princess to her room!" pinta Emperor. Hyra's personal servant escorted her away from there. Hyra continued to look at Liam with a worried look. He was afraid that the Emperor would give a severe punishment to his favorite Guard.
Now only the Emperor and Liam remain. Liam still bowed without a wiggle. "Do you know what your mistake was?" The emperor opened his voice.
"I was wrong for not taking good care of the Princess to make her hurt." Liam admits his mistake.
"It's not just that." Cut Emperor. "Your mistakes are huge and you do so often." Further.
"And a subordinate should not have personal feelings for his superior." His advice. "In addition, don't forget about your identity. I told you to look after the Princess, but you disappointed me." Emperor Saying.
"I will not forget my identity. And I promise I won't repeat the same mistake." Liam's Promise. The emperor just looked at him. "Promises, promises. Who knows if you'll break your promise someday." Resenting.
"I promise to keep my promise. Otherwise, I will live in trouble. A lifetime won't have love and luck." His vow bowed the body.
The Emperor sighed heavily and rubbed his face in frustration. "You must keep your promise. Otherwise, I will punish you very severely." He pointed at Liam's face.
Flashback off
When Tama was alive, Liam often changed his role. Morning to evening, he would become a Guardsman wearing a mask. He reasoned to people that his face was broken and very ugly. So he had to cover it with a mask. In the evening, he will become the Messenger of the Shadow by wearing a mask as his face cover. No one knew that a Guardsman who often accompanied Hyra was a Shadow Envoy.
Being an Envoy taken directly by the Emperor from the hands of his teacher, made him have to erase his personal feelings and past. That is to say, his entire life was spent solely on serving the Emperor.
"I did not expect, the first brother turned out to be able to sacrifice that much for the woman he loved. He's a real man." Praise Kiara as she glances at Hansa standing next to her.
"You think I can't do it for you, Kiara?" sahut Hansa. Kiara was surprised. But he shook his head. "No way to." Be certain.
Hansa's eyebrows meet. "Why do you think I can't do it?" tanyanya did not accept. Kiara smiled thinly. "Because you are the man in charge of protecting the country. You won't be able to continue to take care of me because it has to be more concerned with the country." Seriously papa.
Kiara glanced at Hansa who just kept silent. "If you are so confident that you can sacrifice for me, now I ask, between me and your duty, which one do you prioritize more?" again he asked a difficult question to answer. Hansa was sure there was nothing he could choose in response.
Kiara smiled with her head down. "I told you, you can't answer." Legally.
Hansa smiled obliquely. "If between the two most important things to me are in danger, I am ready to sacrifice myself." His determination.
Kiara rounded her eyes. He did not expect that Hansa would be able to find an answer. At first he only intended to ask that without hoping Hansa would answer him. Because he didn't want to trouble the guy. "I'm just asking. Why so serious, anyway?" his mouth covered his nervousness.
"I'll always be serious if it's related to what's most precious to me." His words made Kiara's cheeks turn red. The girl looked at him with a full look.
