The Flashback

Erlan was on her way back home after a long day of work at the office. He deliberately brought the car with moderate speed, he wanted to enjoy the journey of the afternoon peacefully.

Erlan stopped her car for a moment because at the intersection, the lights showed red. He glanced around and his gaze came to a halt when he saw the crowd at the end of the street.

What the hell happened there ? So many people. Does anyone need help ?Inner Erlan

The lights turn green, Erlan runs his car slowly and he tries to pull over his car for a moment to see the crowd. He got out of the car and walked in that direction.

"Excuse me sir, what is this ?" erlan asked one of those people.

"Want a woman in pain, it looks like she's about to give birth. We have contacted the nearest hospital to send an ambulance here, but there has been no sign of an ambulance coming" the man explained

"Let me take that woman to the hospital" Erlan said

"Alhamdulillah well then son, help us get him to the car." said the man

When Erlan approached the woman, she was surprised because the one in front of her was someone she knew.

"Mila.." cried Erlan

"You know him, son ?"ask the man

"of course sir, this is my friend. Please help bring him to my car, come on sir" Erlan said worriedly

After they brought Mila to his car, he quickly planted gas and drove his car immediately to the hospital. Throughout the occasional trip he saw the unconscious woman.

"Let's hang on I'll take you to the hospital" Erlan said

15 Minutes of travel now Erlan has arrived at the hospital. He then carried Mila to the gurney provided there.

"Sus please handle it immediately, she'll give birth." Erlan asked

"Okay sir, please wait here. We'll take care of the patient" Sister said and passed to the IGD room

"Oh Allah save Mila and her child." - muttered Erlan

Soon the doctor came out of the IGD room and approached Erlan.

Erlan got out of that chair."You're the husband of that woman ?"ask the Doctor

"Not Doc, I'm a patient friend. How's it going ?"ask Erlan

"Look sir, he's dehydrated and also lacking food intake. In addition, the amniotic fluid has seeped so much, and was a little bleeding. If no surgery is done immediately it is feared that it will endanger the lives of the mother and her child." explained the Doctor

"Do your best Doc, the cost will be my full responsibility. Please save both their lives." - Erlan

"Okay sir, we'll do our best" said the doctor

2 Hours passed..

The operating room light has now been extinguished, indicating the operation has been completed. The doctor came out of the room and approached Erlan.

"Doctor how ?"ask Erlan

"Thanks to God's permission the operation went smoothly. Her baby also survived but her mother was still unconscious due to the influence of drugs. The baby was taken by the Sister to the Baby's room" the doctor explained

"Thank you Doc, can I see the baby ?"erlan

"Please sir, I'm sorry then" said the Doctor

Erlan nodded, then with quick steps she headed for the nursery.

"Sus.. sorry where's the baby of my friend ?"ask Erlan

"Oh baby on behalf of Mila's mother, sir ? this is it sir, the boy he's so handsome"appoint the nurse on one of the cots

"MashaAllah is handsome as you please" murmured Erlan

"Sorry sir, but the baby hasn't been abused" Sister said

Then he fucked that handsome baby. The baby who was initially crying instantly fell silent when he heard Erlan's melodious voice. He looked at the baby in his cradle and then he kissed the baby's forehead with love.

"You're patient son, your mama will see you soon." he said to the baby who is now being closed

"My husband put the baby away first, I'll see his mother for a while" Erlan asked

"Good sir." said Sister

Erlan walked towards Mila's ward. When she opened the door, Mila opened her eyes.

"Mila.."relih Erlan.

"Er-Erlan was you ?"mila is still stammered

"Yes Mil, you calm down. You haven't recovered after surgery" Erlan asked

"My baby ? Where is she ? Is she okay ?"mila asked frantically as she felt her stomach was back flat.

"You calm down Mil, your baby's safe. She was in the Baby's room." said Erlan to calm Mila down

"Thank you Erlan you saved us" Mila said slowly

"You're my friend Mil, I'll definitely help you. Oh yes I want to ask why can you be on such a road ? Where's your husband Mil ?"ask Erlan

"Our college roommate is a jerk who could leave me Erlan. She does not want to be responsible for her own baby. She forced me to give up my life for her but when she found out I was pregnant, she ran away from responsibility and hiks..hiks" said mila stuck because she was crying

Erlan hugged Mila trying to calm her down"You calm down Mil, now prioritize your life as well as your baby. I'll help you Mil. You can get up and prove that you are a strong and tough woman. Just focus on your son Mil, he's so handsome." said Erlan encouragingly.

"Let's... Erlan my stomach.." cried out Mila who suddenly had pain.

"When what happens ?"ask Erlan. And immediately his eyes widened to see the blood on both legs of Mila. "Oh Allah you are bleeding Mil. I'll call the doctor." said Erlan in a panic and rushed to call the doctor

Mila is being treated by a doctor. Erlan unceasingly prayed for the poor woman's safety. Before long the Doctor came out and Erlan immediately approached him.

"How about Doctor ? Mila is okay ?"ask Erlan

"The patient wants to see you, sir" said the doctor

Erlan immediately approached the room.

"Mila. "call Erlan.

"Er-Erlan.."lihiro Mila.

"What's Mil ? is there something you want to say ?"ask Erlan

"Erlan can I ask for your help ?"ask Mila

"of course. What can I help you with ?"erlan asked a little panicked

"Please take care of my son Erlan, please take care and love him. I can't take it anymore" Mila said as she took a deep breath

"What are you talking about Mil ? You'll take care of him yourself" Erlan said

"I'm no longer strong Erlan, it looks like I have to go" he said slightly stammered

"No Mil, you haven't even met your son. He's so handsome Mil you must be happy after seeing him." Erlan said trying to strengthen Mila

Sister came to Mila's room with the little one in her carry. Before Erlan approached Mila, she asked the nurse to take the baby to Mila's room. Erlan was sure when she saw the baby that Mila would return to have spirit.

"Look at Mil, he's so handsome isn't he ?"said Erlan showing the baby's face in front of Mila

Mila's hand outstretched to the baby's head."You're Mama's child, be a good child, be a Sholeh child and make Mama proud to have you." she said with a smile. Then his gaze turned to Erlan who was still holding the baby. "Please take care of my son Erlan, make him a son who can make me proud to have him" asked Mila

"No Mil. don't talk like.." he said stuck when he saw Mila closed his eyes, even his hand was out of Erlan's grasp.
