Persuading Aeril

That afternoon the weather was a little cloudy and the wind was blowing quite hard to make Abi pull over his car which had been looking for Aeril since dawn. Even Abi did not eat all day to find Aeril but he did not find it.

Abi put his face on the wheel. Abi was already feeling very tired and almost desperate with everything that had happened lately.

"Oh this is my Mom again persuading my wife who again craves to go home" Abi said with a shy smile.

"Oh Mbak Aeril is his wife. I think Aeril is still alone, yes has survived fighting Mas, women are like that but you have to keep fighting until your wife is happy again."

"Thank you Mom for the advice, I will try to bring my wife back home" Abi said with enthusiasm.

"Espirit Mas!! I live first yeah."

"Yes Ma'am." The woman went and stayed Abi who continued to try to convince Aeril to go home even though there was no sign of Aeril going out of his house.

Evening came and it seemed like the rain would soon fall but Aeril still did not want to come out of his house.

"I deserve this kind of punishment Ay because I am so outrageous" Abi murmured.

The rain fell so hard. Aeril was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief because he did not hear Abi's voice anymore. Abi must have come home because it was raining so hard, so Aeril thought.

After eating the food that he had ordered Aeril to lay himself on the mattress and finally fell asleep. The cold weather caused by the rain makes anyone sleep well tonight.

around ten o'clock in the evening the rain began to subside and left a drizzle out there. Aeril awakens from his sleep by hearing the voice of a woman calling out to him many times.

Aeril got up and rubbed his eyes looking at the clock on the wall then walked towards the door and opened the door slowly.

"Iyya Ma'am" said Aeril.

"Mbak Aeril has a lot of heart with her husband" said the mother.

"I mean Ma?" asked Aeril not understand.

"That's Ma'am, her husband's time in the test barin outside of earlier. Look at his body until it shakes surely because of the cold." Aeril's neighbor pointed towards Abi who was still standing in front of Aeril's house. Although the cold Abi did not give up waiting for Aeril to come out of the house.

"Oh Allah" cried Aeril.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, please forgive her husband. Maybe he did make a mistake but he seems to have regretted it if he didn't, there's no way he would stand in the rain for hours."

"Thank you for telling me."

"Yes, you're both ma'am."

After the mother left Aeril hurriedly approached Abi. Although still upset but he could not bear to see the situation Abi now.

"What is Mr Abi doing here? You should just go home, why is it raining here."

Abi did not answer because he felt so cold that he was unable to make a sound. Soon because no longer able to withstand the cold, Abi finally collapsed forward and almost fell down if only Aeril did not hold his body.

Since it was impossible to leave Abi alone outside, Aeril finally swept him inside. After taking off Abi Aeril's clothes enveloped Abi with her blanket.

Outside again the rain fell so fast and made the air become colder. Let alone Abi, Aeril who was not exposed to rain felt very cold what else Abi who had been exposed to rain since.

Abi continued to fumble in his sleep and made Aeril even more worried. Aeril felt Abi's forehead and felt a chill there, his lips were very pale.

''It's cold, it's cold. Are there no more blankets? I feel so cold" Abi said with his eyes still closed.

"I don't have any more blankets, sir, that's the only one" Aeril said confusedly.

"Cold," Abi whispered.

"What should I do now." Aeril was so confused by the situation now.

Do I need to borrow from a neighbor? But it's almost midnight and there's no way Aeril's waking up his neighbor in the middle of the night.

Aeril grabbed Abi's ice-cold hand and rubbed it with both hands hoping that the heat would be channeled into his body.

''It's cold Ay, it's cold." Abi continued to fumble and made Aeril even more confused.

Amidst his confusion Abi suddenly pulls Aeril into his arms and it leaves Aeril in shock and trying to break away from Abi's embrace but Abi's embrace is so tight that as hard as Aeril tries to let go it won't work.

''Sir, don't be like this, '' said Aeril slowly and still trying to escape.

"Let it be like this for a while Ay, it's cold" Abi said despite her eyes being closed.

Having no other choice, Aeril finally let Abi hug him because he could not bear to see him shivering with cold.

"Thank you" said Abi, and his embrace intensified.
