...The rain man said it was a bringer of bad memories. But I actually feel the opposite....
...Arav Sanjay...
......................
"Si." Arav cursed when heavy rain suddenly flushed the streets. He had to pull over because he did not bring a raincoat.
Arav chose a spacious shelter to park his bike. Again the swearing came out when the guy got off the bike and found his school pants wet on the front, especially the thighs. Her clothes were not so wet.
After being satisfied, Arav turned his eyes. Staring at the streets, observing the rain and splashes of water that fall on the asphalt. Arav then looked around, where he was. The Netra guy grew up when he found Ambar who was standing not far from him, who was also observing him.
"It looks like my luck for a week has been used up for this moment." Inner Arav.
Arav pulled all the swearing that had previously been thrown. The man did not get upset, because there was Ambar who accompanied his morning. Arav walked up to Ambar, but the girl retreated slowly. His curious expression could not be hidden either.
"Ambariana," said Arav.
"Y-yes, what's up?" Amber asked back.
"No, just say hello." Arav leaned against Ambar's former leaning pole. The man folded his hands in front of his stomach. When going to lean his head, then Arav understand why Ambar looks curious. The guy apparently hasn't taken off his full face helmet.
That big helmet of course blocked Arav's head, making for a sense of discomfort. It was only after Arav opened the helmet, carrying with his right hand, that Ambar gawked. As if to say, "so that's you?" yet restrained.
"This is the 2nd time we've met, right?" ask Arav suddenly. The man glanced at Ambar and found the girl's awkward expression.
"Maybe." That short answer made Arav smile.
"Grad..." Arav called the girl. I don't know why Arav wants to keep calling her.
"Where do you know my name Ambariana?" ask Ambar curiously.
"From your name tag, I read it when we were in the garden, yesterday." Ambar nodded in understanding with Arav's reply. The girl went back to silence, confused about what to do, while the rain did not stop.
Beside him, Arav did not give up. The guy takes his place in a long chair in the shop where the customers wait. Sit on that chair in a relaxed style.
"Here sit down first, aren't you tired, stand still?" Arav patted the empty seat. Gesticulating for Ambar to sit beside him.
"you look beautiful wearing that hood," Arav said after Ambar sat down. The girl quickly put away the hood on her head, Arav's honesty made him misbehave.
"Why removable?" arav asked, The guy has no regrets about praising Ambar. Wearing a hood or not, the girl remains beautiful.
Ambar shook his head.
"O yeah, we haven't met, have we? let's get acquainted first, yaaa even though we know each other." Arav extended his hand, inviting Ambar to shake hands. "I'm Arav Sanjaya."
Ambar shook Arav's hand hesitantly. "Ambariana, just call Ambar," he said slowly, then retracted his hand. The girl was uncomfortable shaking Arav's hand for so long, it felt strange.
"okay." Arav nodded. "It turns out you're passive, right?" Hearing Arav's question, Ambar turned his head. "Yes you're passive" he repeated.
Arav was silent, the guy wanted to say why Ambar didn't ask back or say anything. But Arav undoes his intentions, maybe it is like that.
"Good with me, I like passive girls." Arav laughed crisply. "Don't tense up, just relax."
Ambar nodded, the girl calmed down. Ambar was still stunned by the way Arav spoke. No hesitation in issuing a sentence according to what he thought.
"It's not gonna be rushed. I'll make the groove and you just follow it." Arav leaned back, staring back at the rain for a moment. Not nothing that guy has imagined the beauty of having a lover like Ambar. His days will no longer be quiet. "You know what I mean, right?"
"Do you like me? ... Ah that's not it, you mean you're curious about me, right?" Seeing Arav nod, Ambar continued his sentence. "It's best not to do anything weird, I don't like to play with feelings" he said.
Arav squinted, not liking Ambar's refusal. "Do I look like a playboy?"
Ambar shook his head. "No."
Arav looked at Ambar, demanding an explanation. "So why are you saying that I'm a female player?"
"Your sentence is far-fetched. How could you like me when we've only met a few times? Don't infer feelings too quickly." Ambar said according to his logic.
"I'm just being honest. Saying according to my heart, my desire." Arav's pretext, still muddy with his statement.
They had never before said hello. Meet new how many times, and now he has expressed interest. Arav knows it's too rushed, but Arav isn't the type to patiently hold back his feelings. Arav hated having to be silent without expressing his wish. Because it will make him restless.
Not getting a response from Ambar, Arav spoke again. "I'm not going to force your feelings, I just want to express my feelings. And yeah, of course try hard to realize my wish." Arav twists next to his net. Staring at Ambar full of temptation.
Ambar gawked, not understanding the meaning of Arav's sentence which he thought was strange. "ah! it's raining down, I better get going now." The girl switched the topic. As he was about to get out of place, Arav quickly blocked Ambar's wrist.
Arav won't let his lost luck for a week come to nothing.
"I'm a bell, come on!"
Instead, the guy actually pulled Ambar towards his bike. At first Ambar had refused, but Arav with a game he said can make the girl kicep. Ambar could only shut up and obey.
Along the way to school, Arav only finds Ambar's composure. The girl just sat down, clutching tightly at Arav's waist with a straight look focused forward. Occasionally squinting the netra due to residual raindrops.
Arrive at school at 7 past 10 minutes, late. Fortunately, there were some disciples who came along with them as well. There will be no penalty for rain, the school compensated for 20 minutes.
"Thank you Arav." Ambar stood beside Arav, bowing for a moment to make him look more polite.
"Have you never been friends? it's so stiff your moves." Seeing Ambar shake his head, Arav understood. "All right, let's go to class."
Hearing Arav's invitation, Ambar immediately moved away. "It is better to walk alone. Our classes are different" he said quickly. A second later Ambar ran away from Arav.
The girl could not imagine if her self-accustomed self suddenly just walked side by side with the opposite sex. Ambar doesn't want people to talk about it, especially if his classmates see. Not that Ambar is too confident, but preventing is better than having to bear the gap.
While in the parking lot, Arav laughed at Ambar's behavior. Her girl needs to interact a lot with others in order not to become shy like that.
"It doesn't seem as difficult as I imagined."
