Early in the morning I landed pretty in my office chair.
Yep! infirmary.
I had to perform an immediate Caesarean section on my patient which should have been scheduled at 09:00 a.m. However, as the patient's condition grew more critical, it caused me to have to move quickly.
There are two lives I have to save here. I am merely an intermediary, but God determines.
"Marni, get all the operating equipment ready. This mother must be rescued immediately. His condition is getting worse. There's poison in his body that's causing him convulsions" I said as I rushed to the operating room.
"All right." Without asking any more, Marni followed my instructions.
Then I walked quickly to the operating room, and I saw a mother lying helplessly on the maternity bed.
I checked her pulse, the baby's heartbeat, and lastly took an anesthetic injection after making sure she was in control.
For fifteen minutes the C-section took place, and luckily the mother and her baby were saved in time. Not one less.
What a great favor God has. Fifteen minutes ago the mother almost died with her baby. However, the Creator turns everything around. Until none of us is negligent. All because of God's intervention.
Oe... Oe... Oe...
The sound of a baby weighing 3.6 kg was loud until it filled the operating room.
The voice sounded so sweet to anyone who heard it.
Instantly my heart was moved to get married and have this little creature like the one that was just born. The way God works, no one can guess.
"Marni, clean this baby up. I'll sew up his mother's belly" I said after the tiny baby was born.
Without asking any more, Marni followed my words and walked out of the operating room.
While I'm still moving my hand like a great tailor.
Without shaking my hand continued to hold together the skin I was defending. And finally finished too.
A little sweat wetted my forehead without excuse, making me a little uncomfortable. But not to hurt the heart. It is my duty and duty as a competent obstetrician.
"Darwis, after this please take the patients in the mother and child's room to get treatment there."
"Thank God his condition is fine" I said, washing my hands.
"Good, mom."
After the Caesarean section was over, I went back to my room and saw the clock curled around my wrist. It turns out the new time shows at 08:30 am.
Then I leaned my body on my big chair as if for a moment to unwind.
"Huff." My breath was a little heavy, a little relieving as if forgetting all the burdens of the mind.
Still enjoying my break, I heard my phone ring aloud signifying an incoming message.
Then I took the flat object and saw who in the morning had sent me the message?
If it were from a man, maybe my heart would flow. But alas, an incoming email graced my medium-sized phone screen, knocking out my spirit that had almost recovered.
My forehead was full of questions when the email message was a picture of a building.
"What's this?" muttered me while scrolling my phone screen.
There were about twelve pictures that came in.
Then I saw the name of the sender.
"Paijo?"
Because of my duties and obligations, I forgot my promise to this man named Paijo.
Die me, what if he refuses to cooperate with me? I don't know much about the consulting firms in this town anymore.
Understandably, I'm not much slang for those who are not my field. It's just Marni who recommended Paijo.
"But wait, where does he know my email address? yesterday's feeling I didn't leave any identity."
"Yes already. The picture came in too. Why should I think so hard again?"
At first I thought this guy named Paijo was haughty and arrogant, but it turns out he was nice too.
Actually I did not want to continue my plan to use his services in building the hospital. Because after I thought about it last night, it didn't look like I'd be in time to see that guy in his office, and he would be offended, too, because I didn't keep my promise. But it turns out he sent me a picture of the building design via email.
If I look at the way he behaves, he's like someone on time and in charge. That's why I plan to undo my intentions using his services.
An email containing some pictures of the building design was clearly displayed on my phone screen.
I accidentally pulled the two corners of my lips into a strange smile there.
"Do I have to reply to this message?" I murmured while wondering what I should do.
Long thought, I finally decided to reply to Paijo's email which read :
"Thank you for the picture. Sorry I can't keep my word to your office. Because there's an urgent patient who has to give birth."
After sending the message, I put my phone back on. A second later a message came in.
"No problem. I'm not in the office either."
Oh, so he sent me a picture of the building design because it wasn't in the office?
Good then. I don't need to feel guilty for not keeping my word.

Pov Author.
At a residential location, a man and dozens of his employees were working menial jobs. One of them is Paijo.
Yes, Paijo participated in helping his employees who were stirring a mixture of building materials, namely cement and sand.
He was not ashamed at all like most other leaders. If you think about it, he is the owner of the largest construction company. But he's not shy and shy. So, young millennials, do not be pretentious in work. Because prestige will not give you food.
"Mamat, increase the amount of cement, or this building will not stand firm. Try three to five" Paijo said. However, did not take off the shovel.
"Okay sir" replied the man named Mamat.
Before long, Paijo's phone rang briefly, indicating an incoming message.
He took off his shovel and took his flat object out of his pants pocket.
I saw an email coming in.
From: Princess Valeria.
It was a message from the princess.
Without continuing the work again, Paijo passed leaving some of his employees who were still in the residential location.
"You're noble-hearted too. I think you're a haughty woman" muttered Paijo with a sweet smile, as if forgetting yesterday's absence.
He replied to the short message and returned to his office.
Actually Paijo just came to review the work in the field. Because the housing has urged him to complete the construction even though the time is still long. But his language cannot lie. He also willingly helped his employees there.
Actually Paijo was given three months of construction period, but the housing accelerate the time because there are targets that they must achieve.
Yeah, that's business. There must be goals and achievements. If not, then people will get nothing.
To be continued.
