Love Across the Road
Good News

When I got home from school I immediately went into the principal's room to fulfill the call that was mandated to Bu Johan. I was called by the Headmaster, important he said.

"Assalamualaikum," salamku.

"Wa'alaikumsalam."

"Come, Nar!" The Headmaster invited me inside.

And you know what? When I went inside I was shocked because there was Eygra inside. Wow, my feelings are starting to get bad. What this Eygra offended ya with the phrase 'oh like that' that I threw at his gang yesterday, then he complained to the Headmaster.

"Sit, Nar! Your ass boils up?" the Headmaster joked.

I scratched my nape while laughing. Then sit next to the Eygra who immediately shifted to give distance, like a virgin child near men only.

"What's the matter, sir, I've been summoned here?" my many.

"Before, the twilight has not yet come. If I have gathered all the new I tell all the news," said the Headmaster was full of authority.

I'm nodding. I got a little enlightenment. It seems like it's a matter of our scholarship to the UK to bring Dusk. Or The Twilight complained to the Headmaster that I and Eygra had a fight. But Dusk knows where?

Uh, but you're shocked too, you know I'm a potential scholarship recipient abroad. It doesn't sound reasonable, but it's the truth. Sorry sorry, not that I'm arrogant. Even though I am this way I am the general champion in this school, once the champion of the debate competition in Singapore with Dusk and Irma, the champion of the national mathematics olympiad as well, there are many other achievements. Only racing to get Meliana's heart has not produced results.

"Assalamualaik." The soft voice of Dusk greeted our hearing.

"Wa'alaikumsalam" you answered.

The Headmaster smiled kindly at Dusk, the frown on his face looking deeper and deeper. Then Dusk took the place next to me.

"Well, you've gathered all together" said the Headmaster, "father has good news for the three of you." The Headmaster smiled widely. I smiled in relief, this means not discussing the matter of the phrase 'oh like that'. Alhamdulillahot.

"You don't want what news? How is there nothing?"

"What a curiosity sir, we've been waiting for" I said.

The headmaster laughed witfully, the wrinkles on his face looking deeper and deeper.

"The three of you passed the initial selection of scholarship recipients in the UK."

I glared in disbelief before the three of us finally smiled happily, especially Dusk who had even screamed in excitement.

"Really, sir?" Eygra made sure, afraid of what we heard just now is just a hallucination or may be just a whisper of the occult.

"True, only the three of you escaped." My heart rumbles with pleasure, it feels like this is the happiest moment of my life.

"Mom, Danar wants to go abroad!" my yelling.

"Eits, don't be too happy just yet! This is just the initial selection, your fight is not finished. There is still a further selection, but the schedule has not been announced. Well, you guys should prepare well. Make this school proud, make your parents proud. And most importantly, make yourself proud."

My bike drove slowly, enjoying the view this afternoon with a casual whistle. One more step, it only takes a little more effort then I open the way of my double number big dream.

"DANAAAAAR!"

CKIIT

"Astaghfirullah." I was shocked to death when my mother's body stretched blocking my speeding motor. It's a good thing I'm not late to braking, otherwise I don't know what my mother's fate would be like.

"Danar Astaghfirullah! Three times you muter-muter through here. Forgot your way home! Noh, turn the alley, that's your house!"

It did not feel like I had three times stranded the same path, too washed away in delusion made me keep going around in circles even though the alley in my house was already gone.

I scratched my head while laughing, "hehehe yes yes. Come on Ma'am, let's go home together!" take me.

My mother glared fiercely. Then it jumped up into the back seat, completely jumping up until my bike almost rolled over.

"Where is Abis, ma'am?" my many.

"Abis from Mpok Inah. Look you ride a motor muter three times no turn, no gasoline. Keder lu huh?"

The shahdu whistles run down my lips, accompanying the hair combing event I was doing in front of the rectangular mirror of my room.

It's five in the afternoon, it's time for me to push the cart around the village looking for customers.

Once again I looked at my face in the mirror, combing my hair with my fingers.

Stretched out a hand in the air and said, "hello, my name is Danar. You can call me, Dan."

"Nad!" mother's screams succeeded in making me an equal.

"Yes, Mom," I responded quickly before finally normalizing the look on my face. "Why, Mom?"

I heard the footsteps of the Mother who approached my room, before finally the sound of curtains to replace the door, my room did not have a door because the price of the door was too expensive, sounding loud. "Lu who's why? From that you're acting strange, Nar. Honest with mom, what's wrong with you?"

"No," I answered briefly, reluctant to tell the good news I got at school. Of course this good news will turn bad if mom breaks my spirit with her disapproval.

"Mother scared you why-why!" The mother spoke with a worried look, which was actually a bit excessive.

"No, Mom." Akh shook his head while putting on a big smile.

Let me not know, tomorrow I'll let you know if the time permits. Let me be fully happy today, so that this news will remain good news without being tarnished in the slightest.

"And go first, Mom!" I say goodbye and then kiss my mother's hand.
