Fight to the end

The destruction of the earth is in sight. The hot lava burst spread rapidly, forming several small streams that panicked all living things around. The rumbling sound grew louder and louder with the sound of a powerful explosion that gave rise to a burst of lava.

Samantha was still directing her power to suppress the increasingly uncontrollable earth. The surrounding area that had already reached its power range began to be safe, but not with other regions that were still far from its power radar.

"Looks like the timing wasn't enough" Xavier said, seeing the devastation still unfolding across much of the region.

Samantha knows where the difficulty lies. Pressing the earth does not take long if it does not have to find a soul at once. Elgan helped him to feel life from hundreds of miles away. But it also hinders his time.

"It doesn't need everything, just press the earth," whispered Elgan gently, as if there was a coolness that refreshed her mind.

"They're going to die."

Samantha could feel every life she saved. Elgan made it possible to feel them, how could she just ignore them.

Sky knows Samantha needs to focus for now. He had just come with Mars and the mutants with a talent for speed.

As his eyes accidentally met face-to-face with Elgan's gray eyes, he was somewhat surprised. The man standing by Samantha's side flickered at her. Then, Mars suddenly pulled him. He looked back at Samantha and Elgan, until Mars' voice resuscitated him.

"Will you help him?" Mars knows that Sky is too small for their mission.

Sky nodded, he noticed the mutants and humans who were killed in the war, as well as those who were roasted by the hot lava. Only a few remained, and with many wounds.

His black wings became iconic as he then flapped, flew high and disappeared. Mars only smiled faintly looking at the little boy's arrogance. He said he missed Sam, but he left so quickly when he got Xavier's orders.

"I'm going south, Samantha hasn't reached her yet. There must be a lot of people who need help."

Xavier nodded and saw that Mars and some of the mutants that had come with him had already darted away. Leave the mutants wounded in the war.

Humans also do not remain silent, because the power of Samantha's pressure inhibits communication lines, they can only help the injured at the closest distance. The uneven surface of the earth and the ruins of buildings make it difficult for them to evacuate the injured.

"You should have seen this. She's a tough girl" he said, wiping Jasper's blood-stained hair.

Delwyn smiled wryly, he felt like a failure. Jasper should not have struggled alone to find Sam, all because the others had begun to despair of finding him. But Jasper didn't, and he did.

Archer knew what Delwyn was feeling. The look of pain he also saw on Samantha earlier. They cannot change destiny. Death is an absolute thing that cannot be bargained for.

Evan himself, he's confused looking for Emilio and his Daddy. Too messy to complicate the search.

Elgan pulls Samantha closer. Absorbs his mind which is no longer locked. The seal that Xavier made on her came off the moment Samantha came out of the training ground. He just pulled out a special part to then send it to someone.

The call made him fixated on a glimpse of the shadow that had disappeared. He was currently standing among the ruins of the building with his two grandchildren. Others are busy helping victims of the sudden earth shocks spewing hot lava. Fortunately, the great shock had stopped. If only he knew, there was someone who was trying hard to suppress him.

Elgan opened her eyes, she saw tears running down her girl's cheeks. Just like that, because Samantha has to continue her vision. After being able to see her Mommy was fine, despite not being able to hug her, she felt excited. His heart was broken because of Jasper's death, but now he knew someone was waiting for him.

"No need to force, you've done well!" Elgan touched the faint frown on Sam's forehead, as well as his hair that turned silvery white.

Samantha is still trying her best, although in some areas it is no longer helped. A sea of hot lava had leveled the region. He will not stop, at least until the earth also stops its action. Although the surface of the earth was destroyed, at least they still had to have a place to survive.

Xavier keeps his eyes on Elgan, he knows the boy isn't simple. He could not understand his purpose. His presence with Samantha and then helping save the earth with her is also unpredictable. But looking at his gaze, Xavier thought that Elgan had guessed everything that was happening right now.

Elgan turned her head, giving a faint smile to Xavier.

"Stop him! He's gonna die!" he was so angry that he was heard by some people around him.

Archer was surprised to hear that. He looked at the two people who were staring at each other intently. What did he just hear?

After looking at Samantha, he understood her situation. Laying down Jasper who was already lying without life slowly. Then approach them. He stared at the plight of Samantha's state that was beginning to weaken.

"You!" his accusation to Elgan still standing prevents Xavier from stopping Samantha.

"Brengse'k! What's your purpose?"

Xavier's question represented Archer's fall. He did not understand what Elgan's true intentions were. The man looks close to Samantha, and she thinks that the man has feelings for her Samantha. But why would he do this?

"Make you submit under my power!" elgan replied casually deliberately triggering Xavier's anger.

Xavier immediately put up a fight. They attacked each other with their own strength. He formed a dividing room, where no one could enter it. There was only Xavier and Samantha with him.

Archer almost went crazy while trying to break the barrier but failed. He could see the three people in the parlor, but could neither hear nor enter it.

"Elgan! I'll kill you if anything happens to Samantha!" his screams were frustrating, making the others panic and helping him.

Xavier can't take Elgan down. But he's not giving up, he's gonna stop Samantha.

"Sam, wake. Stop that!" Xavier sends the message, but Samantha still hasn't stopped.

Elgan smiled faintly looking at him. Samantha will stop when she asks for it. But not anyone else. All he could hear was his voice.

"Samantha!"

Xavier's call did little to get a response from the girl. Samantha still continued to suppress the earth with all her abilities. Until he was thrown out of the barrier because he could not resist Elgan's resistance.

"Why did you get out, what happened to my sister?" Delwyn asked frantically seeing that there was only his sister and a foreign man inside.

Xavier did not reply, he was thinking of another way to stop Samantha. Ignoring questions from people around him.

Archer felt very angry, he could not break through the barrier that Elgan made.

Elgan realized a lot of anger was directed at her. He stood still holding Samantha's hand. Not one bit to stop it. Supported Samantha's weakened body.

"A little bit more, I'll keep supporting you. Don't fear!" his whispers gently reached Samantha's hearing.

A few minutes went awry for people trying to break the barrier. But far out there Samantha almost made it. A little more, and it'll all be done.

It can be seen from outside the barrier if Samantha can no longer stand. Fully leaned on Elgan who was still standing propping her up. Her pretty face was getting pale and her skin was no longer bright, like a lifeless body.

When it was over, Samantha finally opened her eyes. Weakly he tried to reach Elgan's face. Her smile was etched sweetly as then her eyes closed along with her body drooping weakly.

"You finished it well!" Elgan pulls Samantha in her arms.

All was puzzled, as the two people inside the dividing room suddenly disappeared. Like emptiness brought them into nothingness.

Earth is fine with traces of destruction on every surface. It's finished! Samantha managed to save the earth where they lived. The prophecy is right.

"He always disappears!" Charles was the first to open his voice, representing the void of everyone who expected him to return.
