Liwey set himself on a large copper mirror that fused with the dressing table. Red hanfu with gold embroidery around the waist, neck and also under the skirt enveloped her body. His white face in the natural makeup polish, and his long hair rolled up with a silver skewer as a buffer.
Liwey was tidying up the thin bangs on his forehead, then ruffled his waist while fixedly staring at his reflection in the mirror.
"Well ... how can I be this beautiful" murmured the narcissistic Liwey. Jiali only smiled a little hearing it.
"You've always been beautiful, ma'am."
"Uh, really? You're not tricking me, are you?" Jiali chuckled, then slowly pulled Liwey's wrist to get closer to him.
"You're beautiful and always beautiful." Jiali smiled then led Liwey to immediately go to the party hall, because he thought Liwey had been in the room for too long while the event was about to start.
They both walk side by side. A few servants greeted those who were replied with a small nod and a smile from Liwey. Iris amber Liwey immediately sparkled when she found the party hall was filled with many people from various circles who had patched their respective tables.
Back Liwey was led by Jiali to the table that had been provided for him. Liwey could see Jing Xuan was already sitting down while sipping tea. Liwey's gaze could not be separated from the white figure who had become her husband. White hanfu with a pheonix-carved silver thread embroidered was attached to Jing Xuan's burly body. The gray robe that was also adorned with silver thread embroidery was draped over Jing Xuan's shoulder. Liwey was stunned, going to the appearance of a figure that was always calming but terrible at the same time.
Feeling at the notice, Jing Xuan turned her head for a moment after putting the cup on the table. Her different colored iris stared right at Liwey with a red hanfu wrapped around her body. Jing Xuan smiled, then turned to stand closer to Liwey.
"You're beautiful" he said. Jing Xuan's burly hand took over Liwey's hand from Jiali then led his wife to sit next to him.
"I don't think you're coming." Jing Xuan was still staring at Liwey's face fixedly. It had been enough all day to see Liwey from a distance.
"You're crazy! How could I have missed a party with a lot of food like this." Liwey smiled which directly transmitted to Jing Xuan.
Patting Liwey's head slowly, Jing Xuan took out one dumpling and fed it into his wife's mouth. "You like dumplings, don't you?" Liwey nodded. His mouth was still cool chewing on the dumplings Jing Xuan had given him.
Jing Xuan smiled amusedly, her hands moving to rub the corner of Liwey's lips. "I miss you" he said softly. Yes, Jing Xuan misses the Liwey he currently has, the Liwey he knows. It wasn't Liwey this morning, who made Liwey's heart ache because of the few words that came out of his wife's tiny mouth.
Liwey was silent, the last dumpling in his mouth was hard to swallow. Jing Xuan's words made Liwey's heart tremble strangely. If Liwey could be honest, all day he walked alone all over the palace, his heart feeling empty. As if, his heart wanted someone to fill it by accompanying him. Be grateful Liwey met the 8th prince and his brother at that time. At least Liwey didn't feel lonely.
But, was the emptiness created in his heart because of Jing Xuan?
"I want more dumplings, give it!" Liwey shifted the topic so as not to be awkward. Jing Xuan smiled, then started picking up the dumplings and stuffing them into Liwey's mouth.
"Eat," said Jing Xuan then confirming his sitting position facing forward, staring at the women dancing by flexing their bodies.
Huh. Jing Xuan snorted. This is what he doesn't like at parties. The women who danced with the horn and the lute, the sickening faces of the perverted old officials who seemed never satisfied with their passion.
You old man is immoral.
"Xuanxuan." Liwey slowly pulled up Jing Xuan's sleeves which resulted in the man's attention being shifted to her.
Jing Xuan smiled slightly. "What's wrong?"
"You don't like parties?" ask Liwey. It was not without reason that Liwey asked about it, only that from earlier his ears heard Jing Xuan snort while staring lazily at the dancers who were swaying their bodies there.
"No," Jing Xuan replied briefly. Now the man again sipped tea from inside the cup. "I don't like to see the old office's faces, it's sickening. And I don't like crowds either."
Liwey stared ahead, his facial expression suddenly changing when he found the faces of the old officials lacking the caress.
"Did they not have a wife in their home? How could they show faces lacking such caress." Liwey exclaimed in disdain.
Jing Xuan chuckled little hearing him. "You're out of this party," Jing Xuan asked.
Liwey stared at Jing Xuan's face at a glance and then looked back at the food on their banquet table. "But I still want to eat," Liwey replied softly.
Jing Xuan again chuckled, his outstretched hand rubbing the top of Liwey's head full of affection. "Alright, I'll wait for you to finish this meal."
"No," Liwey exclaimed quickly, he could see Jing Xuan raising next to his eyebrows. "You go first, we met in the fish pond with my room. I want to eat this first."
"You're okay with me staying."
Jing Xuan smiled back, "alright." He patted slowly the top of Liwey's head then draped the robe he was wearing on Liwey's body.
"For you not to be cold" he said, peeking at Liwey's forehead and after that Jing Xuan left Liwey.
Liwey smiled slightly, his left hand free from food moving slowly to the forehead that was just in Jing Xuan's kiss. The strange feeling grew more and more as Jing Xuan always showed little concerns like tucking in and hugging Liwey. And, Liwey liked that. Is it possible that the strange feeling that was in Liwey's heart was a feeling of liking? Or maybe, just a comfortable feeling of being protected?
Ah, Liwey still doesn't understand it.
...°♡°♡°♡°...
Ailin stared intently at the closeness of Jing Xuan and Liwey from the opposite table. His hands were already clenched firmly withstanding the growing jealous turmoil with each passing day.
Yanzhi turned his lazy eyeball looking at the reaction of the woman sitting beside him. Choosing a sip of tea, Yanzhi enjoyed every stream of warm tea that passed through his throat.
"When did you do your plan, Crown Prince." Ailin patted Yanzhi on the back, made the man choke and ended up with tea water that was supposed to run straight down his throat instead turning and coming out of the nose.
Argh .. Yanzhi's nose is hot now.
"You surprised me!" yanzhi. Ailin pursed her lips, her eyes still staring at the grim two couples who were cool talking in front of her.
His eyes bulged as he found Jing Xuan peeking at Liwey's forehead after draping on the previous robe. "Liwey's gone, we need to move the Crown Prince quickly."
Yanzhi frowned, he also saw Jing Xuan's sweet treatment towards Liwey just now. He was astonished, since when the notoriously untouchable sister had become gentle before Liwey.
"They're husband and wife, so it's okay that Jing Xuan kissed Liwey instead."
"Ish, but I don't like that. It should be just for me." Yanzhi stared flatly at Ailin who was sitting beside him.
This woman is possessive too.
"Ah, Jing Xuan is gone, let's launch the plan." Ailin was already preparing to get up, but Yanzhi's hand immediately blocked her.
"What's up?!"
"You don't forget, don't you, tonight I want you." Yanzhi smiled cunningly. Ailin rolled her eyes, then sat back down to Yanzhi.
"I will if you manage to trap Liwey the Crown Prince." Ailin deliberately whispered, even her mischievous hand had already caressed the chest of Yanzhi's field then descended and further descended into her lower abdomen.
Yanzhi growled, Ailin's touch made him want to pounce on the girl immediately.
Ailin stood up again, looking at Yanzhi with a sly smile on her face. "You are easily tempted, Prince. I'll take Liwey to come with me, then make my plans." After saying that, Ailin went towards the table of Liwey who was opposite. For him, the plan this time should work.
Yanzhi's eyes stared at Ailin's passionate back.
"You're ready to meet me, Crown Prince."
Yanzhi flinched, his eyes staring around. Everyone is still happy with their own activities.
"Only you can hear my voice" said the invisible figure.
"It's time you released me, Prince. Take the man in to replace you, and then you can have fun with that woman. Your passion is out of control, isn't it?" The invisible figure laughed loudly, the laughing voice of the figure grew smaller and smaller every second. Yanzhi knew, if that figure had already left.
Sipping tea again, Yanzhi smiled sinisterly, his eyes staring at Ailin's figure who had now managed to bring Liwey out of the party. "Ahh, I'm already impatient," he muttered, then went out of the party.
