The Sad News of the Night

 "Shy! What's the good news?" ask Galib. "Then, what's the bad news?" ask Ayese. Salih simply pensively said, "It's good news that we managed to get off the ship safely. But the guy who was talking in a black hat seemed like a good guy." "What do you mean?" ask Ayese "Patience Ayeshe!" Salih. "When someone told him about the bad news I was going to tell him, he looked angry. But his superiors came and killed him after he declared allegiance to his people under Allah." "may Husnul Khatimah!" said Galib. "amin."

 "Shy! What's the bad news?" ask Ayese. "Esrus village was burned down along with residents and schools" Salih said while looking down. Ayese's eyes began to fall into tears.  Ayese's face was pale. "Means our friend2." said Galib terbat2 and began to look down. "Yes! It looks like they died." said Salih. "Shy! Don't you joke, Salih! Please tell me that's not happening!" Ayese started crying. "Please Salih! You don't lie" Ayese said. "Vallahi Billahi I'm not lying! When I was in a room full of wood, there was a sound of people I heard outside.  Besides, I also looked through the hole as big as a nail" Salih said "after the black hat man died, I also heard the commander ask his men about what he was doing. That guy is the one who caught us when we tried to run. He said that the village of Esrus had been burned. Then the villagers were also burned." hearing the words Ayse tears immediately flowed down. Even Ayese fell down not strong enough to hold the body. "We're so sorry for your loss, Ayse! We just lost our friends and were very sad. Moreover, you lost the family who lived in the village" said Galib.

 Ayese was still crying even sobbing. Sometimes Ayese also mentions his father and mother. "Damn! We both lost. But if you feel heavy with that loss then think of us instead. If you lose your father, think of us as your father. If you lose your brother then let's just say we're your brothers." Ayese is still crying and feeling devastated already her life heard the news of her father's death in a cruel way. He also lost his entire family. Even till night, Ayse was still crying.

 Meanwhile, Salih and Galib began to take turns rowing and alternating prayers. After a while, Ayese fell asleep at the front of the boat. Galib and Salih were still talking. "I just want him not to despair and hope for life" Salih said. "How did this happen? I don't know! May Allah forgive the people of the village of Estrus and avenge every unjust deed." "Amen!"

 After a long time they paddle, they rest. As Salih was sitting leaning back, she saw that the hijab that Ayese was wearing was wet with tears. His eyes still look dappled.

 Galib fell asleep in a few seconds. Meanwhile, Salih was still rowing slowly and occasionally stopped. Sometimes, he glanced at Ayse's face which he thought was beautiful. Suddenly, Salih heard a sound like something hit the boat.

 "Salih went to the right side of the boat and saw a glass bottle containing a paper and covered with a wooden cover. Suddenly, "Salih! What'sthat?" Salih was surprised and looked back. Apparently Ayes."Ayse? Why did you wake up?" ask Salih. "I want to pray first. Can I see what the bottle is?" "Just let's see it together." Salih said with a smile.

 "Shy! Wear it!" Ayese said while carrying a laced sack.. "Why?" "I want to abudhu. If you try to peek I'll strangle your neck." Ayese said with a smile. "All right!" Reply Salih with a smile.

 As Ayese prayed, Salih noticed that there was something like a cupboard handle under the back seat. When he pulled it, it was open and there was something inside. Apparently, it contained meat stocks, barrels filled with fresh water and oil. In addition, there are several nets that are commonly used by fishermen. In addition there are also several thick sheets of cloth suitable for blankets.

Salih closed the door of the small closet and sat on top of it. After reading it, Amata Ayese returned to tears. Ayese closed her eyes holding back the cry. Her tears flowed slowly. Then back to sit and then lean on the edge of the boat. Crying out. Salih and Galib looked at each other. Salih took the paper that Ayese had read. Then read it with Galib.

 Salih and Galib closed their eyes. Galib began to shed tears after reading it. The paper was a letter written by Rauf, their trusted person and also the village. Everyone knows that he is the most honest person and never lies even if he is only joking. Below him was a special stamp of his.

 What made them all cry after reading it was the content of the letter;

 "The citizens of Estrus were gathered to be massacred. I watched it myself with my eyes. I was caught and will be killed after telling what will happen in all the surrounding villages. I ran from village to village to tell the residents to leave their village immediately. But when I got to Esrus I was arrested. I'm silent2 wrote this letter in the last 2 seconds of my life. I saw flames burning around me. Everyone was coughing followed by an overwhelming fear. Burned alive. All the men of Saint were without exception women and children, even madrasa and the disciples and their teachers. I'll put this letter in a bottle and I'll throw it all I can at sea. We'll be burned in the fish shed. Pray best for us.

Rauf Ibrahim."

 They did not think where the letter came from. They were convinced that the stamp was Rauf's. After the letter they read, they were certainly very sad. Their madrasa, their friends were all burned. That night, all fell asleep regardless of the direction the boat was moving. Everyone is sad and scared.
